The location opens at 9am, but we needed to leave at 8am. We picked it up at the end of the day the night before and got charged for an extra day. This is ridiculous. Next time I'll rent elsewhere that's more customer friendly. U-Haul needs to change their policy on this.Paul I.

Could not pull the trailer hitch off the ball on my own. The lack of a jack for this size trailer 6X12 made it very difficult to lift off the ball. Had to get help from local owner. Noticed that all your trailers have no jacks.Marc R.

The guy was nice enough, hooked everything up for me. i said to him, lets check the lights, he just laughed and pointed to the lights at the front of the trailer and said "they work" and walked inside (it was raining). Got the trailer home, couldnt open the door and didt have lights on the left rear I brought it back to Marathon Rental. He pried the door open. The electrical to the lights had jammed in the door. I explained to him that I needed the trailer today and have been waiting for this trailer. He then said, "take it to Autopro, they do all our work". Seriously!! Im in the middle of moving!! Is it not your resposibility to ensure equipment that leaves a U Haul representitve lot, is road worthy? Luckily the trip was, for the most part, in the day light. Such poor reprsentation. " Not Applicable" on the 3rd question of the survey is only because people have to go there, its the only UHaul dealer within many serveral kilometers and hours. There is no choice, no competition, sadly but that's northern Ontario for yaTEENA B.

When I went to pick up the equipment after changing locations and pick up dates because of misinformation on uhalus part, the dealer in marathon was closed. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with a very unhelpful rep trying to sign out the equipment. When I hooked up to the trailer the lights didn't work, a tire was flat and needed replacing, and the brake fluid was empty. This was a horrible experience with uhaul. When I tried to express my frustration to people on the phone I found them very unhelpful. .. This will be my last time using uhaulMATTHEW D.
This location epitomizes the small town small business that one would stereotype in their mind. The owner of the business did clearly want to help me, and found ways to do so in our somewhat unusual circumstance, however, customer service is obviously not a huge concern for them as the general demeanor of the employees was short and uninterested. Furthermore, I had a time sensitive problem that no one could solve but them, however, no real sense of urgency was displayed in trying to find solutions. After some prodding, the owner was able to be flexible and find a solution that met our needs, but only after close to 3.5 hours of waiting around for the first issue to solve itself. All that being said, the owner did have our best interests in mind and despite his lack of customer service skills and sense of urgency, he did ultimately find a good solution for our unusual problem.PHIL L.

Your online reservations and individual dealers do not have equal access to correct errors on invoices or billing in their computer systems.They also do not show same prices as online system.I reserved online and was called by a Uhaul rep to confirm rental. I rented from 64 Peninsula Road Marathon On.The dealer charged me for an extra day rental and insurance without my knowledge which I paid on my Visa upfront.I only needed the time I was allowed for the rental that I reserved. When I returned rental to drop off point at 686 Squier St.Thunder Bay On. the other dealer wants to charge me and wants me to pay the extra day rental and in insurance before closing the contract.I said I already paid for rental why would I pay again.I asked to use his phone to call Uhaul to deal with customer service he stated I can't use his phone.I leave the dealers location and call from a payphone to U.S. help center they advise me to tell dealer to close contract and I have to make objection.I go back to 686 Squier St. Thunder Bay and tell them what call center advised me to do.He tells me his system won't let him make the closure. I tell him then you phone U haul yourself and get your answer.I was getting angry because it seems like this this guy is double billing me.He calls a Uhaul and asks them to adjust the invoice to reflect my true reservation and rental.They said they would send me an email.The dealer was whining about he always gets flack from customers who drop off at his depot.Sound like he needs more Uhaul customer service training. If he had phoned in the first place a lot of frustration would have been avoided between the 2 of us but he was to cheap to use his landline to call a 1-800 Uhaul customer rep.WILLIAM L.

I defiantly appreciate the intimate knowledge of all the products offered; if you are not sure what to get, the staff go over all types of scenarios to best find your ideal vehicle/ trailer (or both!)!
