This man was incredibly rude. First, he had dangerous dogs that barked at us when we arrived and showed up over an hour late, delaying our multi-state move. He then called our car foreign, which was both weird and a dog whistle about our politics. Absolutely unacceptable. You should remove his contract. I am telling everyone I know how horrible this experience was. Moreover, your customer service reps did not offer me any assistance, a refund for missing the promised pickup (like I received from another location), or an apology for his behavior after I was on hold for forty minutes trying to figure out what the hell to do. In contrast, the staff at the in-person locations have all been friendly and the regional manager who arrived at the last minute was perfectly helpful and kind. Protect your business by permanently removing Marc's contract.Elizabeth W.
Marc was rude and became angry because he said u-haul did not call him. After he was told I drive an hour to get the trailer he said not my problem call u-haul. Another associate called me from Margarettville and he was very helpful.frank L.

Regarding pickup and location. I had booked the truck for a different location and got a call it was changed. That was no issue. The issue was is that the owner of the new location was not made aware of the change so when I got there he was not there. Ended up having to go down to a diner for an hour and wait thats all that was around to entertain myself, wife and 3 year old. So added 40 to the rental bill. Second I believe to be a shady practice done by Uhaul. When I was finally able to pick up the truck we ran into a problem when he tried to complete it. I had to call in and it turns out there was a supposed parking ticket I recieved on a truck rental a few years ago that I had no idea about. I could have fought them and received a copy of everything but at that point i was stuck and needed the truck which is why they do it that way. I had already entered my license online and there was no mention of a ticket only when I arrived and my license was entered again. so I got stuck paying another $130 on top of the rental. not to mention how dragged out the day got because of the delays and aggravation. Summed up $170 extra for the day due to changes and delayed just over 2 hours because all of it. I will consider all options when renting a truck again. I don't blame any of this on the rental pick up or drop off locations. I put the blame solely on Uhaul itself.Ian S.

The communication between UHaul and the dealer was handled very well. The dealer was just leaving for the day when I arrived at 10 am. He didn't know I was coming and seemed to be put out and slightly annoyed. Made me uncomfortable.Neil G.

The van we reserved was no longer available at this location and we were not informed of this until we arrive to pick it up. We were delivering flowers to a wedding and needed air conditioning and a smooth ride. We received neither. I placed a call to the marketing president but have not received a call back. I am demanding the $50 back because the vehicle I reserved was replaced with a bumpy hot box truck. This is also not the first time this has happened!JOANN P.

I refill the tank way over what was necessary and I was expecting for a refund. Also the extra mileage from Kingston to Port Ewen was charged to me. :(THIERRY P.
This is no reflection on either location but I received a phone call at 7:20p Friday telling me they needed to change our drop off point. Because I was driving asked the guy to email me the information. I forwarded the email to mu husband who was making the drop off. Unfortunately I didn t look at it because it had the original drop off location in the email.My husband went to the Ulster Ave location only to be tuned away and was sent to Marc's.Not thrilled with the extra hassle and losing an hour out of our crazy day.KATHY B.

there were no straps in the truck and a few of my items were ruined, I asked for a 14' truck was given the keys to a 10' truck and was still charge the price of a 14' truck, the 14' truck I could not use since there were tires left in the back of it from the owner of the U-Haul site. When I went to pick up ithe truck at the reserved time, there was noone there at the store and I had to come back 30 mins later to pick up the truck.Danielle D.
Marc went above and beyond to accomodate my needs...he stayed open late when I was unavoidably detained and kept the truck for me - he also noticed and did a quick repair to ensure that everything would go smoothly for my rental...it's great to rent from such an accomplished mechanic!! The Dealer "forgot" to check the truck in after I dropped it off on a Monday ... I got a call from U- Haul four day's later requesting that I drop the truck off at a different location on Friday. I them spent almost two hours on the phone with U-Haul getting the issue resolved. I'm Very unhappy about the service that I got in New York.SCOT M.

When I went to Kingston store to get rental was told I had to go to port ewen to get dolly I was advised it would be a 60.00 deposit when I got to Marcs transmission I was told a 200.00 deposit was required I know the reason for it and it was not only offensive but extremely embarrasing to me to be put in that situation I can promise you that this will be the last time I rent from Uhaul from now on I will use another company if you have any questions as to why feel free to call me 845-309-1281william M.
