I was notified one day prior that my pick up location had changed. I called the Market Cafe location to confirm and no one answered the phone, so I stopped by and, when the cashier could not understand me, spoke to Love, a manager on the phone. He assured me everything would be ready the next morning at 8AM. When I arrived, the cashier told me he needed a Key Number, which I did not have. I went to the Uhaul web site and attempted to log on. It repeatedly told me that I had "timed out". When I tried to request help, it gave me an error message. I called UHaul and, after holding for 15 minutes, spoke to someone who tried to get the web site to work on my phone. When it would not, he told me that I would need to go to another location and transferred me to someone to facilitate that. The next person told me she could help me get into the key box without using the web site. She gave me combinations for two boxes, neither of which contained keys. The third and last box would not open with the combo she provided. She then called the regional or store manager who told her that the third box had not been working, so the key was inside the store behind the cashier, who had told me originally that I needed a "key number." I finally departed one hour late after standing in the 40-degree rain dealing with incompetent people. The UHaul "technology" for remote access to keys is a complete joke.Charles M.

I was supposed to be able to pick up with just using my phone and not having to go in. The man that worked there barely spoke English and had a hard time understanding me. Finally I get the key and right away had to fill it up using his gas station of course. Wasn't as easy to rent online and just pick it up as they make out.David H.

The store attendant helped a few customers after I came in. He wanted me to check in online after coming to pick up the truck. Getting the code for the key box was extremely difficult. The truck was dirty, it even had a shoe left in it and the back was still not swept out. He wasn't able to provide any paperwork due to him working off his cell phone.ANDREW N.

When I brought the key back, the employee said he would handle the check-in himself. Several hours later I still had no emailed receipt, and after checking my U-Haul account I saw that the truck was still showing as not returned. He had just assumed I would do it all even though he said HE would do it. I had to drive back and argue with another employee to get the key back just so I could do the check-in myself. Terrible service, I don't know why I bother using U-Haul at all. They pick the worst vendors to contract with.Keegan Addison Z.
