Wesley BintzAll three locations I uses were sub-par. The attendants did not know how to use the system to reserve, book & invoice for my rental; they had to reach out for assistance from superiors due to lack of system knowledge. The breaks on trailer were malfunctioning. The cleaning fee post use, is not valid because I personally cleaned the unit before leaving the drip off site (as shown in furnished photo w/time stamp), no-one present at drop-off site during working hours, there was no response to my numerous telephone call attempts to reach attendant at drop off location. Extremely poor experience!

Received call for 2 days about returning at or we would be charged an additional fee. The business to drop at off at doesn't look to be a business it all. But I finally straightened it out I hope.
Valencia MeltonAt NO time was I told I was only allowed a certain number of miles. VERY poor policy! Makes no sense to calculate miles from rental location to drop off location when you clearly have to drive additional miles to load and unload destinations. And then to NEVER be informed of overage fees. Will most likely choose another rental company in the future.

Wendy JohnsonThe Uhaul employee was nice and got his job done. However, the appearance of the location was not good. There was a mess all over the place. Including a random open bottom of shampoo on the table, an open bottle of Roach killer, a child’s piano toy, random furniture marked with prices all over the place, the list could just go on. Personally I think this location needs to be heavily updated, this made my experience uncomfortable and not pleasant. I will be using other Uhaul locations just to have a more professional and pleasant atmosphere. I felt gross after walking out the building.

Victoria MackenzieI was confused about turning in the rental when the place was not open at the noted time on the web. I finally saw the drop box and left the key at that point. I then talked by phone to a staff member later to make sure all was completed with the rental. I was assured that I had completed the return appropriately. Thank you for completing the rental at a convenient location.

Richard GLeo was great to work with. He explained the insurance options which I was unaware of and reviewed the contract with me. Then he walked me out to the trailer I rented and helped me attach it my Jeep, adjusted the chain lengths, and plugged in the lights. Then he walked me to the back of the trailer and showed me how to open and close the doors. Then he checked my turn dignal and brake lights to confirm everything was good to go. The 5x8 trailer was in good, clean condition. It pulled really easy and straight down the highway. I'll definitely ask Leo to help me the next time I need a trailer or truck rental. Rudy MayerLights didn't all work. Items shipped arrived after I left on my trip. Items sent were not what I wanted. I don't like that Items to order are on by default. They should be off. All around, a bad experience. I'll go elsewhere next time.

I paid $50 for something I was never given to begin with it even was put in the notes I didn’t receive it from the place I picked it up from. I also was charged a cleaning fee even tho the only dirty thing was a foot print from driving because it was early morning and wet outside.

Had to drive nearly 40 miles both ways to use an alternative location's truck and a not received comp for the failed reservation. I feel like 80 miles of my useage shouldn't be charged. or at least part of it. overall mostly a horrible experience usuing uhaul this time. I know its not the normal and it was extremely frustrating.
Gabriel OffermannDO NOT rent from this location. Was charged a cleaning and gas fee (almost $60 worth) when we swept the vehicle and got gas. Manager is completely unresponsive to trying to call to get this refunded. The worst U-Haul experience I’ve ever had.

Barry ErvinTerrible, DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION FOR DROPOFF. I was told by the Uhaul system to drop off my 5' x 8' trailer here on Sep 1st. No one was there that day, or the next, or the next, or the next! Trucks and trailers were scattered about the property. What a mess!
Peter BondTook an hour to pick up truck due to app issues, then we put gas back in truck at nearest gas station and drove back to location and got charged $28 for 6 gallons of gas which is $4.66 a gallon not $4 like stated in the agreement as well as charged an additional cleaning fee even though we took pictures of the clean vehicle before we left. I will NEVER use uhaul again. Ended up being $206 for 6 hours.

Daniel SteinmanI went in to rent a truck to quickly haul some old furniture and appliances to the dump. Every size truck was available, I picked a 15 ft truck. I was informed the cost would be $30 plus 79 cents per mile which was fine as it would only be 20 miles round trip. I expected to pay roughly $50 after tax. It took about half an hour to finally get me out the door, but I was fine with that. This would be the last time I was "fine." First of all, the truck was very visibly on it's last legs, extremely noisy to drive, violently shaky and bumpy, and I had to hold the pedal to the floor just to get the truck up to 50 mph on the highway, it never went over this speed. I was advised to have the truck refilled and cleaned out or there could be extra charges. When I opened the truck to be loaded at my house, the bed was full of rats which jumped out and scattered around my yard. I then got everything loaded and unloaded at the dump, approximately 2 hours of time. I filled the truck, literally only $5 dollars was used in gas. I then spent 15 minutes sweeping and mopping the bed of the truck, which considering it had rats in it when I got it, it was demonstrably cleaner than when I got it. Upon returning it, I made sure everything was secure on the back. I had stepped in a mudpit, which the place is literally covered in and a tiny amount of mud got on the step on the back of the truck when I was making sure it was locked and securd. Not wanting to be charged, I even wiped this off with my hand. The truck was spotless. Despite this, the man here refused to come out and acknowledge that it was clean. He was watching tv in the mattress store. I urged him to let me know if everything was ok as I did not want unexpected charges, to which he replied yeah everything is fine but I'll look later. I was then charged with a $25 cleaning fee, $1 environmental fee, and $7 rental fee, on top of the $30 rental rate and $17.38 in mileage for driving it 22 miles, which brought my total over $80 instead of the $47 it should have been. These hidden and dishonest fees make this place a scam and I would encourage everyone to stay away if you value your time or money!
Kyle ObrechtThe truck had previously been wrecked and the right headlight was held in place by tape. The truck also had high mileage and appeared to not have been properly maintained. The engine is not far from failure.

Thomas StevensI cleaned the truck and I still got charged a $25 cleaning fee. I dropped it off over the weekend when they were closed. I called once my card got charged and he said the back was dirty. We didn't even use the back! We just used the truck to pull a trailer to haul our car that broke down on vacation. When I told him that, he said I would have to file a claim with U-Haul. Ridiculous!! I wish they would just charge an extra $25 when you rent it that covers the cleaning.

Charle BriggesWe appreciated the support we received from the staff at Hickory in delivering the truck and answering the phone to address charges that should not have been billed. The property at Mattress Goddess is unsafe and not maintained. Getting in and out of the driveway is dandergous as there are deep holes. The parking lot is full of mud and water making parking anywhere a difficult one. In delivering the truck we had not choice but to talk in mud and so Leo charged us a cleaning fee - which was unacceptable. We had cleaned everything before we arrived at his lot but the situaion made it impossible to not have mud on the floor mat of the drivers side after parking the truck. We also asked to not have the travel safe fee applied - which he charged us for anyway. While we appreciated the U-haul rental, the lot at Mattress Goddess and not being listened to took more time on our part to rectify the situation.

Sonja MarstonI am in the process of getting a refund from a despicable location. I dropped off my trailer early to a disorganized location. They then are trying to charge me for two days extra, as well as for a cleaning fee. I'm frankly surprised that Uhaul still contracts with them. I'm not alone. Simply read the google reviews. I would think you would not want to be a part of what many would consider a scam location.

Cindy DouthitAfter turning truck in during business hours, they checked the truck and parked it while we were there. Two hours later, they charge a cleaning fee of $25. The truck was clean, no one said anything while we were there. When we complained they sent two photos which could be of any truck.
Charles TaysThe equipment itself was fine, however in picking up the 6X9 incased trailer we were going to be using, we were told make sure to clean it out, or there will be a $15 fine. Which was not the issue at all, the issue is that when we reached our destination and opened the trailer it had shredded installation all over it. We had to clean it before we could even use it.

Rebecca PrichardThe person running this location is not an honest. I was double charged for the trailer I rented. Changed a cleaning fee when the trailer I returned did not need cleaned. When I returned to the location to discuss and request the charges be reversed for the clean fee, he said no and that if I did not like it, to go somewhere else when i need to rent a usual. This is the second time I have had this type of experience at this location.

Had to call u haul to obtain monies. Second time we have had this issue at this location. Budget truck rental from now on!

ISAAC BROWNMy calls related to required pre-rental inspection were not answered which made me anxious but it turned out not to be a problem. The gentleman was most helpful. When he was dealing with a glitch in the U-Haul system, his manner on the phone with the tech-help personnel was so polite and gracious that I knew I was in good hands. I was on the road in a timely manner and the car-carrier was a dream to use and tow.

William ElveyInside windshield was very dirty and had obviously not been cleaned for months. The parking lot at this dealer is gravel and mud. You can’t get to a truck without walking in it. Needless to say the exterior of the trucks are very dirty around the wheel wells. The truck ran fine but I would not recommend anyone rent from this location. Problem is the only others ate in Canton or Asheville.
