Paula PallasWhole experience was a nightmare. Their GPS location wasn’t pinged correctly. I was on the phone for 2 hours after I arrived to pick up my U-Haul before I figured on my own that they had an old location. So I took it upon myself to drive 20 miles and sit in a parking lot at an abandoned building to finally get located! It’s approaching 48 hours now and I was told someone would be getting ahold of me, still nothing. I had 6 friends and family members helping us move, that basically ruined all of their days. Complete shitshow. I hope they take this seriously

BENNET RAY WICKLUNDUpon arrival my reservation could not be found (I had called into this location earlier in the week, talked with an employee and he had reserved a truck in my name). The owner did not go over the rental agreement nor provide a walk-through on the do's and don'ts of the rental. The vehicle gas tank was not full at time of rental but I was required to fill it upon return costing me an extra $40.

norman springerThis was not my original pick up location, my original location was closed for a local race and as such had no one to check out vehicles to the dozen or so people who were standing around and the truck I had reserved was given to another person forcing me to switch locations to one 25 minutes away and putting me behind schedule by over an hour.

James StarichaWe did a drop off after hours. The site didn’t look the way the video did, e.g., no way to take picture of mileage, fuel level, etc. The site said we would receive a phone call shortly after dropping off. We never did so my husband came back the next day during business hours. We ended up being charged for fuel plus a $30 fuel charge fee. We thought the fuel looked the same as the print out we received when we picked the truck up, but would have taken it to the station ourselves if needed to avoid another fee.

David MolinaThis was not the location I requested or had set up, and I was not sent a proper notification that the pickup address had changed until I logged into the website. The first page of “upcoming reservations” said Miltimore in Brainerd, which I had requested. But when logging in to view it, it said Midwest Trucks in Merrifield, which is 20 minutes away. I had to call to confirm the pickup, because it was incredibly confusing. At pickup, he did not explain that asking for a mailing address meant he was changing the drop off location. I had requested Aitkin, MN for drop off and also told him this. He said they just need an address for mail forwarding information, but it appears this changed the drop off location to Brainerd. He basically said we could drop it anywhere and that it wasn’t a big deal. Not so. This caused us to “drop off at incorrect location,” when we arrived at the Aitkin location, causing a $20 gas fee.
JONI THOMASMy location had to be shifted due to Memorial Day hours. I received a call from an agent in northern Minnesota who found available equipment and redirected me to this location. I appreciate the help to make sure I was able to get what I needed. Excellent service all around

Joel LarkinFirst I reserved a 27ft truck in Aitkin Mn. 2 days before I was due to pick up truck they called and said they wouldn't have that size truck in. I would have to go to Merryville MN to pick it up. And could pick it up a day early. Which I did. That is only positive was getting it a day early. But I had to drive 270 miles round trip to pick it up and drop it off for the day I needed it in Palisades MN. I had family all ready set for Sunday. Guy said it had over 3/4 tank. It had 5/8 tank. At $4.00 a gallon that was a added expense as well as driving it a extra 35 miles away from Aitkin. Then when I went to drop it off I got charged mileage to drive it from Merryfield to Aitkin Mn. They guessed it was 159 miles from Aitkin to cabin to my home. Said I went over mileage for extra $19.90. Then windows were dirty with hand prints all over windshield where someone had wiped with their hands. So I got to look through a dirty windshield for almost 180 miles. Only other good thing was guy at drop off dealer was a really nice guy. But said I would have to wait for Uhaul to adjust mileage due to Merryville pick up and it could take up to 8 days to get my money back for mileage differential. So I did not have a good experience with uhaul.

GLENN WIDMARKA snowstorm delayed my return of rental by several hours but I was still charged an extra day rental. It would have been nice if U- Haul was a little more flexible and would have waived at least part of the extra charge.

Michael BlobergerI had to do a deep clean in the truck. It smelled like a gym locker room in a cow barn. Also the seats were covered in some sort of lubricant sort of substance. It was so bad in the truck that I almost vomited. I had to keep the windows wide open. To make matters worse there was seamen on the seats feces on the backs of the seats and it stuck like a smoke bar. The truck it self needs a major tune up, the brakes are loose. The steering wheel is not on point. And so much more. I won’t be recommending uhaul to anyone I know. It was a very bad experience for me.
