The check in process was very poor. Took forever to get pic to be accepted. There was a guy there and still had to use mobile. I was billed for 5 gallon of gas but only driven 16 miles. Tell me that is accurate. I want my money back

Wanda CarlisleI'm really upset to see an additional $14.30 that I was unaware I was going to be charged charged to my account when I got quoted 58 something dollars. I don't mind to pay for the rental I don't mind to pay for the safe trip fee of $15 and I don't mind to pay for the mileage. What I do mind is having a nether safe trip fee of $5 added to my account I was unaware of, another dollar environmental fee that I was unaware of, and then tax I know you can't help but I thought the tax was worked into the price I was quoted when I told him how many miles and stuff like that so I shot over mileage to make sure that my account would have enough in it to cover it and everything. Well I have enough money in my account to cover the additional $14 I wasn't expecting I'm really upset that between the three people dealing with this U-Haul I talk to not one of them mentioned these fees. It also doesn't stay in any of your fine print anything about an additional safe trip fee, or an environmental fee, or taxes were not included, unless that was the one they were basically rushing me through to read and just electronically sign in order to get the truck keys. I also don't appreciate the lady that I spoke with on the 24/7 phone line last night who when I was trying to get assistance said as I quote you didn't go to uhaul.com. no maybe if I had I wouldn't have called this number to be talked to like I'm stupid. And then told me she couldn't close out my account that the people at the shop where I rented a U-Haul had to do it. Now the guy at Mike's cycle shop I believe he was the owner Mike was fantastic very sweet very understanding I mean I wish you'd tell me about the fees but I'm not sure if he was aware of all the fees that would be attached as well since I didn't get the safety driving coverage at that time. But the two Representatives that I spoke with at U-Haul probably should have mentioned that because it's not everyday people rent U-Hauls and moving is expensive and sometimes money is tight so I have an additional fee slapped on to it has made me never want to rent a U-Haul again for $72 to go literally 31 miles and return it 3 hours later even though it says I had it for 17 hours, was ridiculous I could have paid somebody 25 divided $50 to hook a trailer up to their truck and take the four items I couldn't fit in my SUV to my new house. Thanks to this terrible experience I promise I will never get a U-Haul again I'll go through Penske I'll go through budget I'll go through anybody except for this company. And I'll be sure to ask about all the fine print next time because when I get screwed at least like somebody to buy me dinner first. Worst experience dealing with everyone except the guy who owned the shop where I picked up and dropped off the U-Haul at.

Mary CookI booked this equipment on the national U Haul phone 5 days early, went to pick it up and was told there was none of these trailers available. Went back to the national U Haul phone and was informed I would have to drive 1.5hrs to get one, due to a shortage. Merica Flea Market was the closest, I called to verify and Mike was very friendly, and said he had one for me. He was very helpful and accommodating when I arrived to pick up the trailer. I'm very disappointed I was led to believe by the phone reservation the trailer was 5 min away originally, only to have to spend over 3hrs driving to get it on the day we were planning to get it all loaded.

JUSTIN CAZEELocation opens very late (1100). I was having issues with the App and online Log it and was Told it was just due to the fact that it wasn’t the day of my pickup and all Would work well when I came to the location the next morning at 0800 and used the 24/7 App. The app still didn’t work and I spent 55 minutes on hold before finally speaking to a U-Haul rep who could help. Additionally, the policy of allowing as low as a quarter tank of gas is a terrible policy. The first thing I had to do upon picking up the truck was filling with gas.
Kevin HudsonHad something sticky in cup holder ,dog hair in cab flying around when widows was down and back was not cleaned out but I did sweep thst before return . Gas was closer to half quarter not complaining about gas was no big deal. Other than that transition was smooth
Ken MitchellThe owner was not on site and no personnel from uhaul was there to accept the truck. I had to leave it with someone that worked with him from an auction house. Wasn't feeling very safe about the return.

John ReedI was charged for an extra day of rental. I rented the u haul for 24 hours and had it back in 14 hours but yet my final bill they charged me for 48 hours so they owe me about $45 I contacted them and they still have yet to give my money back. When I speak to the person at the location he is no help and sais (you haven't herd from them yet) no I have not and I want my money back!!! They could simply view the cameras and know o returned it on time way before time actually. I wasn't able to get my photos to take in the app so before I left I contacted customer support she told me to send them via email so I did and I couldn't continue with the return process bc I couldn't get past the photo part. She emailed me back said everything looks good and she would enter it. I just want my money BACK!!! it even shows on the app I only rented it for 24 hours and that it was back!!!

TROY COOPERIn the past when I have rented a uhaul,it was one price for 1 day(24 hours). Now it's just an 8 hour day. There's 24 hours in a day not 8. And the crap I had to go through just to rent was ridiculous! I will never rent another uhaul! Moved across town and the price was ridiculous also!

marshal lawsonPick up after hours is not friendly! Took over an hour to pickup the rental after hours using a mobile device. Despite we were parked in front of the key lock 🔐 store front, GPS wouldn't identify us as there until I was parked next to the rental truck itself. Be prepared to take pictures of the odometer and yourself holding your license. None of the tedious tasks were relayed to us when Reservations were obtained via 1800GoUHAUL. 😬😖☹

Heather GauveyI filed UHaul complaint file number is 3223549 today because you over charged me $240 for 6 extra days when I only used the truck 2 extra days. You also charged me for 2 extra days on the trailer when I retired it on time on June 9th. Furthermore, when I Rented my storage unit after my one way rental, they charged me full price when the advertisement on glove box said first month is free. The local dealer said the promotion only applied to a non climate controlled and larger unit at $128, per month which I could not use. When I called to report my complaint, I was referred to corporate and held over 30 minutes before getting a person on the line, only to be told that they could not do anything and I had to file a complaint which I did. I would like a credit for the over charges.
James MccartneyThe check in process to pick up the truck with the 24/7 service was terrible. The website is unintuitive and confusing to navigate. I had to wait for customer service to answer my call after 30 minutes to start the verification process then another 45 minutes before I could get the truck. Luckily someone at the shop arrived before opening and got me all set up in 10 minutes. This was the only issue of my entire experience.

JOSEPH HENLINEI was told it would not be an issue to drop the U haul off at a location near our home 45 minutes away. I asked several times to make sure and the associate reassured me that it wouldn't be an issue. After returning the Uhaul I was charged an out of state fees on top of all other fees for not returning the U haul to the same location. I was in the same state and only 45 minutes from the location, I was told several times by the associate it was ok to do this. I will not use this company again and have shared our experience with several others who were moving at the same time so they could make an informed decision and they decided to go with other companies.
