First, the El Dorado manager and the Pea Ridge, AR managers were great!! No complaints about them at all!! But, the rest of experience, other than two of reps was frustrating, to say the least!! We scheduled and paid for 26' truck on a Monday for a Friday for Camden, AR. On Wednesday, late afternoon, we received an email stating that U-haul had moved the pick up location from Camden, AR to El Dorado, AR. Thursday morning we called the Camden pick up site. They had record of other reservations we had made but nothing for that Friday pick up, and we should call the â€œGo U-haulâ€ number. So, we called and were put on hold for more than 30 minutes. When a rep finally came on, we gave her our reservation number, explained about U-haul moving the pick up location and time. She said she could not help us and transferred us to a â€œmanager.â€ Again we were placed on a waiting list. And, again we waited. A woman answered the phone and after giving her our reservation number and explaining that we had made the reservation for Camden at 8:00am and had a crew coming at 8:00am and we could not do the 11:00am in El Dorado, she told us we had reached the corporate offices and they did not handle our sort of problem. She said she would transfer us to someone who could. So, we again waited. â€œLeteshaâ€ came on and after giving her our reservation number and explaining what was going on about location and time for pick up, she said she could not find the reservation number and where was the pick up point? When we told her, she told us she was in Shreveport, LA and did not handle AR. She was as helpful as she could be and recommended we stay in the line and she would transfer us back to AR. We waited 45 minutes. A gentleman answered our call and we again gave our reservation number and our problem. He saw that the reservation umber did not match where he was in Layfette, LA. He was helpful also, suggesting we call the pick up location and try and arrange for an earlier pick up. The manager was at El Forado was also helpful, but the truck wasn't supposed to come on until 10:00am. We looked up the Arkansas area manger and called his number. We got a answering machine. (he NEVER did call us back to see if we had any resolution) A short time after we left the message for the area manager, the manager from El Dorado called back. She had been able to get confirmation from the people who had rented the truck and they were going to do a late Thursday night drop off and she would go in at 7:00am to check in the truck, so we could pick it up at 8:00am. The manager went out of her way for us, when U-haul messed up and sent us to her location, (instead of the location right in town where we are). El Dorado is over an hour and a half round trip away from the house and the pick up time was 3 hours later than we had arranged for a crew to help us. We were definitely not impressed by changing of locations and times. Extremely POOR customer service from U-haul Arkansas corporation. The Louisiana reps we spoke with should be placed in management positions!! They really know what they are doing.Clifford H.

Check the truck before renting, when we came to pick up the truck, the battery was dead.we had to wait for an hour for someone to come and replace the battery. we were told it was just sitting there for 5 days. when someone reserves a truck they expect it to be in working order. the delay caused us to miss appointments and costed us more money.Eric J.

I had reserved a dozen blankets and when I got to the location they didn't have any. I had to go to another location and pick up the blankets. I think I should get a refund for the cost of the blankets to cover the extra time and inconvenience experienced.Craig W.
This location doesn't have drop box. They didn't instruct me how to drop off and where to return/leave key. As normal, I leave key and contract in the truck and lock it. They charged me $75 for having someone to unlock the truck.Dylan T.

I am really disappointed in the cavalier attitude of the person I spoke to Friday, July 8, about the change in my reservation, from a 15 ft truck to a 10 ft truck with a 5 ft trailer. I told the lady I didn't like it at all. Not once did she apologize or offer a better solution. Your employees need more training in interview skills. The local u-haul dealer was very concerned about my plight and got me a 15 ft truck. Your headquarters staff could learn a lot about customer care from your dealers.Daniel B.
