Check engine light was on, floor of the truck bed was very dusty, some of the moving blankets looked like they have not been washed in years. Clerk was helpful but difficult to understand as she talked very quietly and had an accent. No printer or scanner to provide sale receipts. Hours on a Sunday (noon) is ridiculous time to start a move, push the hours up to 9 or 10 am.

The employee working didn't really seem to know what was going on. The equipment worked but the ratchet strap mechanisms were severely rusted and took some man handling to really get them to lock. I know this isn't really the employees fault but the trailers should at least be inspected and put some wd40 on them or something.

Train your staff better. I was told by the woman at front desk that I could drop my trailer off in Cochrane, AB. Only to find out that there is not even a U-Haul location in Cochrane and I had to drive all the way back to Calgary to return the trailer. Wasting my time and money on fuel. Extremely frustrating situation to say the least. I definitely will not be back. Also the ratchets for the tire straps are very rusty and hard to use. Very poorly maintained trailer equipment. Do better. If I had to rate this U-Haul experience from 1- 5 (5 being excellent) I would rate it at -4! Absolute garbage!

The office was locked and there was no sign of an employee on the property. Maybe a sign indicating the staff would be back shortly would be helpful. The employee spoke very quietly and we had to repeatedly ask her to repeat what she was saying.

Vehicle had no windshield washer fluid and was challenging to drive with conditions on the highway. The windshield was also held on by tape. The mobile checkin and app was challenging to use and not clear instructions

The Van I rented did the job I was supposed to do, which is good. However, it was not clean. I was greeted by a nice little ranch packet when I opened the door. Also, their representative gave me two incorrect pieces of information which ultimately increased by rental cost by about 40 bucks. So, FYI, you cannot drop off a U-haul rental at a different dealership in the city, and if the lady says don't worry about filling the tank, it's because they want to charge you $20 to do it for you. Also, Mo will be indifferent to any concerns that you have about the quality of the service.

Location being operated out of a small trailer - poor girl employee was 1/2 frozen. 5x10 trailer worked very well however the wiring harness didnt even extend beyond the trailer hitch let alone reach the vehicle receptacle. Had to find an extension in the office however the connection was 4 flat and there was no adapter for the circular connector. Had to go buy an adapter. One of the tailights was not functioning properly (no turn signal/brake light). On a positive note, it Got all our stuff home safe, sound and dry.

It would be good to know this is a lock-box type location and to have clear instructions at the site for what to expect as you go through the mobile pick up. I didn’t realize no one would be there to ask questions.

This was the worst uhaul and probably customer service I have ever experienced. The lady showed up late, couldn't figure out how to connect to the internet, overcharged me by $100, wasted an hour of my time, and after it all didn't have the keys for the truck I had reserved. She finally gave me keys for another truck and when I returned and asked for a discount or compensation for the wasted time, she said she didn't know how and still charged me full price. I will never be back and frankly am probably not gonna be using uhaul in general any time soon.

We had a problem when we picked up the keys out of the lock box for a mobile check in there were 2 keys. My wife thought that one was for the gas talk as written across the top was "Unleaded fuel only". We get a call a couple of hours later asking if we had 2 keys. We found out then that the second set was for another truck and we would need to return it. At a great deal of inconvenience and cost we did that. I was not very happy about that. The truck was also very dirty on the outside.

The trailer was in poor maintenance, the lights malfunctioned in the first half of the journey and the door would not remain closed unless it was locked. I will probably not use this location again.

I rented a furniture dolly and a dozen furniture pads. When I got to the truck, there was no dolly and 2 pads, not 12. Other than that, phone instructions were clear for pick up. Instructions were not clear for drop off, but I phoned and someone answered to tell me how to drop off. Still waiting on a refund for the $7 dolly that wasn't supplied.

I'm very disappointed with the booking system. I booked at one location and got sent to a different location. When I got there the owner had no idea we were coming and the terms of my rental had changed . It gave me anxiety to sign it but I had to take it to move. My experiences with your company have been absolutely unacceptable and if there were other options available I would likely never give you my business again. I am in the parts and service industry and know what a customer wants. In closing , thank you for having a brand new van but the rental process was a 1 out of 10.

There were no dolly or furniture matts in the truck. The first U-Haul pickup location, Kensington, didn't have their online pickup sorted out and I was told to wait until 9am. My friend only had 7a-3p to help so I lost some time having to rebook. I did phone someone to find something for 8:30a but it was a treacherous process. The dolly also wasn't in the cart with no way of removing it from the bill as well. Other than this I enjoyed using the app, just wish there was some coordination w/ the individual outfits.

The online check-in was very cumbersome. The system didn't like the Picture of the back of driver's licence....and verification took a long time.

No one seems to physically work at this address. You have to call the regional office in order to receive the lock code to enter the chain link area to get the equipment. If you are sent to this location from another one, you can only have the equipment for 1230-1230, and it doesn’t matter when you seem to pick it up. No one is there to look over the vehicle when you pick it up or drop it off. This is very much a self serve location.

Truck was filthy inside and out, so had to put my furniture on a flatbed full of dirt and wood shavings. The process of unlocking and retrieving the truck myself was annoying and took nearly an hour to finally recover all the instructions and to get the proper codes. The side mirrors did little to no adjusting which was a bit dangerous.

Clean truck and quick response. We made an after hours pickup, operator was friendly and patient, he guided us through the entire process, instructions were clear and helpful. Will definitely rent again at this location.

I had to jump through hoops just to rent from uhaul. I booked a truck at another location just to get a call a half hour before pickup telling me that truck I booked wouldnt be there. Then they switched me to a different location and told me theyd send me the confirmation email with the new pickup address and they didnt so I looked up my booking number, and it told me it was on barlow, so I went there for 12, ( the original booking being at 11) and then THEY told me the truck I ended up getting would be at the centre street location. So in all it was a complete fucking runaround and then when I picked the truck up, the gentleman hands me the keys and tells me the tank on the truck is empty. Like thanks for waisting more of my time. i acknowledge that it is supposed to come back in the same condition but if im on a schedule I shouldnt need to fill the fucking tank on the truck after im already picking it up late. I also got no paper contract or gauge to tell me how much the tank will use as per the fuel gauge

I ordered for a 9' van I got 10' truck. There was no need for that. It's hard to operate the big truck and also consume more gas. Also there was no lock to lock the back door of the truck. I ordered a 9' for a reason. Experience could have been better

The attendant didn't look at the vehicle. We had to ask him. Then he said all is good. I returned the vehicle with the same level of gas as when I got it, yet was charged for gas. Terrible

This wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I had to upload licenses twice. The emails and text reminders seemed not to store information in the same place. The only upside was being able to drop off the truck after regular work hours.
