Had to go from Denver to Bailey to pick this truck up. Very poor service.

After making reservations at a Denver location six weeks in advance, I was told at my pickup point that I had to drive to Bailey for my rental, nearly an hour each way. I drove by other uhaul locations with the equipment I wanted but for some reason I had to drive out to Bailey. Reservations mean very little to uhaul. The equipment I rented had two dents, a shudder when it was loaded while driving down the highway, and two very worn tires that gave me little comfort. I will only use uhaul again as the very last resort.
JIM BUELTCalled the night before to see if a car hauler trailer was available for the next morning, was put on hold for 10-15 minutes, then lady came back on & said they didn't have any available. This is only about 5 minutes from my house, I drove by & they had 5 car hauler trailers there. My wife made a reservation online, I showed up before 8:30am, 1 was gone, U-haul was there to pick up 3, but they still had the 1 available. I was able to rent it & return it before 4pm that afternoon. But I did make a reservation for another down in town just in case there weren't any available, don't know why they told me they weren't available. I don't think they want to take the time to rent them as it is a hardware store.

Raina CorsonWe reserved a trailer in Highlands Ranch, CO, which is about 10 minutes from our house. The day before we were set to pick up the trailer I got a message saying they didn’t have one and they moved to the pickup to Bailey, which was 90 minutes away and 40 miles into the mountains. The facility itself was fine, but the last few reservations we have had with Uhaul, this has happened. There needs to be a better way for reserving equipment (or not letting you reserve equipment if there is not inventory at the site chosen)

ANNE MASONWould give them 10 stars if I could! Great people, especially Gerry and Dave. Went over everything on the truck, fixed a problem on my contract. By the way, this is the coolest hardware store in the country in a very cool little mountain town. Had to drive 2 hours to pick up the truck (NOT their fault) with it being one of the best drives in Colorado.

Steven ConyersThe couple that owned and worked at the location were very warm and gracious however the UHAUL rental process is so bad I will never rent from them again. We had to drive 30 miles from the rental location, I originally requested, to pick-up the rental vehicle. Upon arrival location was closed as the hours of pick-up were outside the store hours. Thankfully the owners were there and made an exception and assisted us. The day prior I called to confirm my rental with a UhAUL dispatcher, when she said the location would be closed and the vehicle keys will be hidden somewhere on the car I knew we were going to have problems. This is unacceptable service, we will never rent with them again.

Ricky LambI returned the trailer the night I rented it(after hours), but went the next morning at opening to make sure I wouldn’t be charged the 2nd day and got the receipt today with the full charge. I intentionally worked hard to safe $30 and still was charged. That’s poor business on the Uhaul companies part.

Rhody DaviesI asked for a tow trailer, and was told I could get one. All emails from UHaul said I would get one. But when I arrived to pick up the trailer there was a dolly and the nearest trailer was 300 miles away. Why can I not be informed on a timely basis that what I wanted was not possible? Next time I will be looking at other companies for trailers.

Katie FralickThe sales team is VERY Courteous, The lovely lady knew her paperwork to rent the trailer, knew where the products are in her store. Unfortunately neither of us knew that one cannot lock the trailer hitch to the ball as I wanted. I ended up purchasing a $9.00 unnecessary lock. The gentleman knew how to inspect and hook up the trailer. However neither of us was aware that my hitch needed to be"flipped over" to raise up the trailer away from the ground.
