The check-in process is ridiculous. I had no idea i was going to have to provide an alternate contact. So, I picked someone on the fly - and then you had to call them!! Why? Of course they didn't answer - newsflash - people don't answer unknown/unwanted calls anymore. So, that delayed the whole process an extra 15 minutes because I had to now choose someone else (as I was not allowed to retry my first pick) and call them to warn them someone was going to call. Then, for some reason, I had to choose a payment method. I had reserved the truck a week ago - and provided a credit card then - while i was at home in my secure wi-fi. So, while I'm standing in the parking lot, I had to once again enter my credit card - out in the open over a cell phone. I'm writing this review 24 hours after returning the truck - and you guessed it - my credit card was hacked. Unbelievable.Michael S.

Checking in was a long and arduous process. When I reserved it I was sent four emails - each with instructions...one email included a tutorial video explaining how to check in online - this is not a simple process...I had to take multiple photos, etc. I was also advised (after I got started) not to use the app as it has issues. The attendant at the facility got snippy with me when I told her the check in process shouldn't take 30 minutesKurt T.

Mobile check in is terrible. The site does not give good directions. Its very ambiguous. Ended up having to do a live chat just to get it right. And this was with a real person standing in front of me. Please go back to signing a piece of paper. I can guarantee I won't rent from uhaul again as long as I have to use the app for mobile check in.Lacey K.

The service and equipment and price was totally awesome! My phone could not open the attachments for the receipt for payment. So, for me, an improvement would be a written receipt (old fashion) at the time of return.Ione O.
$20 turned into $70, no information was given regarding fuel and that i would be charged if returned with less gas than the van initially had. Renting the van at Home Depot would be a cheaper option from now on.Kevin F.
