This was by far the worst experience I have ever had renting U-Haul equipment. This dealership gives U-Hall a bad name. This was the ideal location to rent a U-Haul truck since the house was just a few blocks away and I will need to rent again shortly but I will never rent from this location. I first contacted this location at around11:30 a.m. and was told he would be at the location to rent me the truck at around 5 p.m. Around 6 pm I called again and the number was out of service. Around 7 pm I went to the location and saw another number which I called and I was told that he was an hour and a half away but he promised he would be there. We took the furniture and boxes and put them on the lawn while we were waiting to get the truck. We went to the dealership to wait and he finally arrived at the location around 10 p.m. He indicated that he was doing me a favor to rent me the truck. If he had told me in the beginning that he was out of town working and couldn't rent me the truck I could have tried another location. His attitude and customer service is totally lacking. . UHaul failed us from the start. From not having a truck for us despite our reservation, to passing us from site to site trying to find one, to finally having us have to drive over an hour to get somewhere that did have a much larger truck than we'd ordered a day later than it was reserved for. At that point, we simply grabbed the truck when it was finally available and didn't even ask why the cab was dirty with the leftovers of whoever had rented it before and the truck was scratched. We didn't even get the receipts to show how much we were charged until AFTER we returned the truck and someone emailed them to us. We also ended up paying more in gas for a larger truck and missing an expensive day of paid contract work. Apparently this is common practice with UHaul at the end of each month and I'm only glad we talked to the actual sites as we went because apparently internet reservations are worth even less than our phone ones which weren't worth anything to start with. The only highlight of the entire ordeal was how easy turning the truck in after hours was and how friendly and helpful the return site was. This was pulling teeth the entire way through and just like pulling teeth it turned out to be much more expensive by the end than the estimate at the beginning had been.

Terrible rente un trailer por un día y a la semana me cobraron 284 dólares discutimos con la persona encargada y ni se disculpó simplemente dijo que el horror lo corrigió y volvió a cobrar lo que en realidad era 40.61 pero el reembolso de mi dinero lo sigo esperando porque nos dijo que tenía que pasar por la compañía eso fue en South Bay fl aquí nunca volveré a rentar absolutamente nada es un desastre le cobran lo que quieren a los clientes sin siquiera notificarle 😡😡😡

The truck was in great condition. However, I had to go to another location for the equipment. I dropped off the truck and equipment on the same day at this location. Apparently, 1 1/2 months after my drop off I have just BEEN UNEXPECTEDLY AND UNBEKNOWN A CHARGE OF $99.--

This person at this place was extremely helpful and I appreciate his service. I had made a reservation at another place in bell glade and the attendant gave my reservation to another person that paid cash. After running all around town trying to rent another vehicle I was lucky to find this person that even though he was in crutches due to a car accident he came to the store and assisted me proving me with excellent customer service.

Excellent customer service by Leslie. Very accommodating and very willing to work with us on the challenges we presented to him. He managed to get us what we needed, and did so with great courtesy and a big smile. The only negative we must include here is that the physical conditions of the office and lot leave much to be desired.

Guy lied about how much gas was in it.. never handed me a contract on the date to return it. His office was filthy and he was rude. Not satisfied to be treated like i was rushed out. I had no idea when or where to return the truck. I am not referring to the drop off location i am referring to the pick up location in southbay belle glade florida.

Make sure they are cleaned out before new customers use them! I found a marijuana roach in the floor of the passenger floorboard AFTER I drove over 400 miles with the truck by myself.

The man greeted me poorly, I told him I had a reservation and he responded I don't know anything about that. His office was a dump. The truck I ordered wasn't available due to full of garbage. I was given a free upgrade to a 20' truck which was filthy inside and out. The only reason I took it was the time frame I had to complete my move. You really need to do an undercover boss on this location.

I had a bit of an issue with Pick-Up location having been changed on me where the 800 number was no help at all. I felt like they did not care. However, my experience with Leslie at this location was excellent!! This employee deserves much recognition for his customer support and professionalism. Leslie re-established my faith with U-Haul.

Well this was the closest location for the equipment that I needed it was about an hour and a half drive to South Bay one way when I got there the attendant at this location was very rude and let me stand for about 45 minutes while he hand washed and drying and car and then wanted to argue about the rental being already being paid for and made me give him the 3digit code and the billing zip code before he would give me the rental .

This is my first and last time I'll ever have anything to do with UHaul. I will be sure that all my friends, family, social networks and blog know about the lack of respect from your regional office and lack of consideration for my time and money. My vehicle was not delivered as promised upon recieving a confirmation of time and location. Reservation was made for 9am in Clewiston, FL but vehicle wasn't delivered until 1PM in South Bay, FL. I made a reservation for a 14 foot truck for Moore Haven, Fl. By the time moving day arrived I was two towns away (30 miles) and was stuck with a 26 foot truck. This cost me time and money as the bigger truck is a huge gas guzzler. I'll shop around next time.

Very poor service, kept waiting 6 hours before we were able to pick up equipment. AlSo my drop off location was supposed to be changed. After speaking with 4 agents it was not done when we arrived in Spanish yesterday and I was on the phone again from 3:20pm (on hold for 40 minutes) and finally spoke to an agent who changed the info as I was standing at the desk in the drop off location. This after having being assured it was done on April 15 and again April 23. Our experience has been terrible and very stressful not to mention costly. We used over one quarter tank of gas just going back and forth to pick up and our departure was put back 24 hours resulting in extra expense on the road.

The person operating the facility was really nice, accommodating and in general, did a good job. However, his office and premises do not reflect well at all on the U-Haul brand. He really needs a new location with a decent office and parking area for U-Haul stock. I'm not sure that you could do anything with the current location and facility to make it reflect well on the U-Haul brand.

Dealer was not open on drop off day. When I went to drop trailer off no one was there I left and went back later and went ahead and left the trailer. He did not tell me at the time of the rental that it was okay to drop it off if no one was there. I was charged an extra day when the trailer was dropped off on the correct day. From the time I entered the shop the dealer was trying to overcharge me. The regional manager was no help at all. He knew the dealer was a rip off but he went along with what he did to me. I'm reporting the business to the better business bureau.

This was the MOST unprofessional person I have ever made contact with . The list starts from when he arrived late after I made a reservation for 9am . He went on to tell me that it was his shop and "HE GETS THERE WHEN HE GETS THERE". Second He rented me a truck with the wrong mileage and gas .I called him on the phone and he was so aggravated with me because HE HAD MADE A mistake. This person is a disgrace to U-Haul and should NOT be in a customer service setting.

I rented this truck at 9:30 a.m. I returned the truck at 12:00 noon to the rental office. The attendant told me that he would not check in the truck because he had a cleaning business and did not have the time to check in the truck. He told me that he would mail me the bill. I told him that I was not leaving their until he checked in the truck. I called Palm Beach County Sherriff's office and they sent out three officers to the U-Haul business. All together I was there two hours and he still would not check me in. He told me that I was just to leave the keys or come back that evening just before closing. The officers were there with me at least an hour and he belligerently refused to check me in. I have never seen such a dishonest U-Haul operation in my life. I have a case open with Palm Beach County Police Department should I be overcharged. The officer had to check the truck in himself to protect me from any bad claims against me. "Can you imagine" the officer had to check in the truck because he refused to do so. This operation needs to be checked out by U-HAUL because it is nothing but a big rip-off place. Send someone in their to rent a truck and I guarantee that you will close them down. Don Zumpano

I returned the Uhual on the Day I was told due to a miscommunication on uhual at the return location which they resolved the issued by allowing me to store my furniture inside the uhual i had such a bad relation with the owner of the drop off location was not available at neither times i went to communicate with him in South Bay i called him he stated i'm not there i will call you when i make it back so i called again and the uhual rental wasnt checked in still and this was two or three days later.....i dont think i should be responsible for his careless.please call me Sharonda to discuss this matter..(478)227-3181

To improve your business with customers, I think that you need to lower the price. I rented one to make about a forty minute trip to pick up supplies and was charged $127.00 (not including gas I had to put in). Don't get me wrong, I do understand you making a profit, but I thought it was too much. 0ne the other hand, I appreciated your business because you were there when I needed you.

Did not sign any paperwork...person working is too busy with his other business to help your uhaul customers. Rented truck for 8 hours and was told that they would be closed when i was due to return the truck. Returned truck after 6 hours, no one was at location and since there was no one there and they do NOT have a drop box for your keys, so i locked keys in the truck because i did not want to pay for a whole truck. Person working there called me at 8 o clock stating they were going to charge me $75 to get the keys...my question is what the hell was i supposed to do since i wasnt told by them what to do.

My only comment is, I left the truck with more than half a tank full of gas (more then what I picked it up with) and they should give me some type of credit. The company is always quick to charge when the gas is just a small amount less then when recv'd.
