First of all, I reserved the truck two weeks in advance and two days before the pick up day a representative suddenly called me saying hi got bad news for me the pick up location went from 2 miles from to 60 and he told me it was sold out. A furniture dolly i had reserved wasn’t in the truck, over all I wouldn’t recommend I just hope you guys try not to le this happen again.

This is a horrible representation of u-haul. They did not have a jack to lift the trailer onto the hitch. If I wasn’t very strong we.couldnt have gotten the trailer on the hitch. They only got the hitch on the ball and said there you go. I had to hook up and test Lights myself. No assistance with safety chains Chains on the trailer were covered in oil and soot. My hands were filthy. Had to wash up in their disgusting slip sink.

The truck was in good condition. However, when the price for the rental was quoted to me, it was more than what I expected from looking online the night before. When I asked the person who processed my paperwork why it was different, all he said is that it was taxes and stuff. I did not review the invoice until later that day when I was done with the move, and I noticed that the insurance WHICH I DECLINED THE NIGHT BEFORE was included on the bill. I guess I shouldn't have been so trusting when signing the invoice and should have looked at it more carefully. Other than that, the experience was very good.

The employee who handled my reservation was not fully trained or knowledgeable about properly connecting the trailer. And he was rude while working with me. He didn't correctly connect to the ball, nor did he tighten the bolt. Within 1/2 mile of the station, the trailer bounced off the ball, and the trailer tongue slid under my car. Fortunately I was able to safely pull off road, but was then on hold with the help line for over an hour. If 3 bikers hadn't stopped and rectified the problem, it would've taken another 60-90 mins. for a tow truck to come. Overall, a very scary -- and risky -- situation!!

The vendor could not book my rental stating i rented a vehicle 1.5 years ago and there wss a problem. I spent over an hour on phone with customer severe who promptly took my reservation. Upon returning to the vendor it still took 45 minutes. Never again.

I was charged a "environmental fee" of $1.00 and also an extra $3.66 with no description. it couldn't be for gas because I actually refueled at the same location and there was more gas in the truck than when I picked it up. the guy at the location could barely speak or comprehend English. it's crazy how I was charged these hidden fees and the guy never explained them to me. I think that's why he didn't give me a final receipt because he knew that I would have questioned these extra charges.

I was very happy with the staff member at the location as well as the equipment. No issues with that at all I was a little surprised in regards to the Safe Move that I got charged. When I made the reservation I was under the impression that it was the insurance I normally get. Had it been a little clearer I would not have gotten it. Other then that I am 100% happy with the service and experience.

1 was given the incorrect pick up location, drove a long way to find the place. , dumpy gas station , they gave us the wrong truck to start because the service person never walked out to show us the rig. Finally got the correct truck. Gas settings on paper did not match the actual gage , less , the pick up was supposed to be in am by the time I got the rig it was 11 am. Now an hour drive back to where I started. There were two other locations closer ! Ridgefield ct was much closer to new canaan ct than Brewster ny. Which I was originally given Golden’s Bridge for pick up. .not personal assistance at all. Not informative about the truck nor about where it was to be returned. . No correct address on the paper work either. A lot of lost time and running around. .

The service is very very poor. I was charged double the rate because the person did not know how to use a computer. They did not bother to check the hookup of the trailer. I would take the time and drive to Danbury to rent from there as the staff is much more knowledgeable.

They overcharge me for gas. The guy is telling me to relax because who ever worked the day before never cleared the gas mileage on their system. Unbelievable! Stay away.

The gentleman was very nice. The truck I rented could use new wiper blades. If it had been raining, I wouldn't have been able to see. The truck was clean and comfortable. It would be nice to have some basic instruction on where things are on the dashboard. I looked in the glove compartment, but there was no instruction book. I couldn't find the hazard lights control. Would be helpful to give information on an app or give routes that allow trucks.

We were supposed to pick up our rental in Bethel, CT. Called to let them know that we would be late picking up the trailer. Got there and it was not there - cancelled to be exact. No notes in the computer as to why just cancelled. So we were told to go the the Danbury location to find out they did not have the trailer either. I spent a good amount of time on the phone with Joanne from Uhaul at the Travel office to find where we would have to go to get the trailer that we had reserved 5 months ago. Joanne was amazing and got us set up with the trailer in Brewster who had awesome hours and service. If you are going to be late picking up your rental call (like I did), get the name of the person you spoke to (I usually do but did not this time) and last but not least make sure they put a note in the computer saying you will be late so your rental does not get cancelled. Other than taking a name I did all the right things and still had to go through lots of crap to get what I originally planned for 5 months prior. Thank you to Joanne in the Uhaul Travel office, you rock!

We are a charity and order a truck once a month to transport food 8 miles round trip to our site. Each of the last 4 months we have had issues with our order. Two months the wrong truck was ordered and last month the wrong time was scheduled. This time we were asked to pay for a full tank of gas as the needle was below the 1/4 mark where it was when we picked it up. Unreasonable demand when we need our funds to feed the needy.

I was charged extra money a week after I returned the truck and when I called the guy he was rude and wouldn’t help me at all.. I tried calling U-Haul customer services and 2 different time on hold for 30 minutes so I can’t talk to anyone this is insane and very unprofessional

Why are you only asking me about the pickup location? It was fine but the rest of the uHaul experience was horrible. If you truly want to improve, why don’t you ask me about the rest. How you canceled my original reservation without explanation. The 90 minutes I spent on hold trying to fix the problem. The rudeness I experienced during the hours I spent trying to fix a problem you created. Why only ask me about the location where I picked up the vehicle? Do you actually want feedback?
