It would have been nice to know that the office was not being used and to have instructions on how to contact someone so that they knew we arrived. We had to ask the auto garage next door to call the person in charge. If there is no office someone will need to know that before arriving and waiting in the rain.
Antonio SpellmanHonestly the car wasn’t where it said it was, the app was malfunctioning, the instructions weren’t clear about the lock box & the tire pressure was low which made it really difficult to take the odometer picture when going through the return process because there was a safety message on the dash. It was extremely frustrating.
Jillian CameraVan was full of debris from previous customer's either completing a construction job or gardening job. Right sliding door signal kept popping up although the door was shut closed and locked. Right door on the back of the van had the same issue.

Lydia MooreIt was raining and there was nowhere to stand to avoid it. The entrance was barely marked. I was just there getting wet while trying to check in online and ended up having someone call me- why not just have a desk? Anyway check in was horrible- everything else was good.
DUSTIN WILLSI was initially worried about staff availability since this location is hosted by an auto shop, but I was greeted by a very nice woman and the whole process was quick and easy. The only negative of my experience was that the rear tire was dangerously low in pressure, sitting at 52 psi out of the necessary 80. I'm glad nothing went wrong but that's something the business should've resolved before renting the vehicle out. Also, the gas level was quoted to me at a 1/2 tank even though the vehicle was almost down to 1/4 tank when i received it.

Her name was Pea and was super accommodating and helpful both in person and over text during my time moving today. I had a great and pleasant experience with her, and definitely recommend her for anyone looking to move with U-Haul

JOSEPH DAVID CHALOMButtons on the steering wheel did not work including the horn and Bluetooth, left over marijuana and cigarettes were left in the car with a disgusting smell there was also a parking ticket left in the car from before I rented the uhaul, don't even get me started about the pickup and drop off. I tried for an hour to get the 24/7 app to work and it didn't, delaying me and all my plans. overall it was an awful experience and I will never be a customer with uhaul again I really hope something is done about this in the form of compensation I will be waiting to hear from uhaul.
shmuel rothI had to stand on the side of the road for an hour, and finally gave up when uhaul expected that I either brought my passport or lease with me. This was the second time I tried, and it still took an hour, but I did it from home and I just spoofed my location. Even then, it felt like I needed to convince the person to let me rent, despite having a person they could call and my passport. They actually told me no before even calling the person. The location was fine... They were great. But the last two times I have used uhaul have been terrible. The second to last time, you didn't have the right equipment that I had reserved, and that almost fucked up our whole move. Uhaul is now a last resort for me.

Nadine CummingsWould suggest starting the online process before you get to location. The app was not working for me had to call support. Delayed for 1hr. Your truck could be blocks away from the site. You have to locate it first and then you have to walk back to the site to get the key to open it. Then back again to pick it up. Vehicle needed air in tire. Expect this site to be a hassle.

Showed up to this location expecting at least there would be someone to ask, instead the staff there just watched my boyfriend and I try to navigate the uhaul app and find our van for half an hour When we finally did get the key box unlocked, it was the wrong van key inside. Another staff member eventually showed up and sorted out the key issue and we finally had our van, however it took up an hour of our reservation and set us behind our schedule for the day. Extremely extremely frustrating start to our moving day.
Maya NovitThis location has no office and I had to ask around to find someone from Uhaul to help me. The van smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Upon returning the van, I again had to search for someone from Uhaul to return the keys to. Then they lost the keys and called me to see if I still had them. Everything about this place was very sketchy and disorganized.

Kind of mixed emotion parking on the street with a sign that I would not park my personal vehicle on. Felt I was putting the lady that helped me out so much the other day in a jam. Please get her some parking. Also, the place is located in a shop and it doesn’t have a walk in. She had to do everything with a tablet outside. Still have not received my receipt. So happy she was very helpful.

The return process sucks trying to find parking along a street once again that is extremely busy to then have to walk several blocks to return the key! Worst location ever but the staff were friendly

KWABENA Anim-AddoReally confusing set up - store was closed and two people in a Uhaul van were the helpers. Every customer asked the other customers what to do. Check in was slow, took about 45 minutes as each client had to speak with the dispatcher for some reason. The woman checking people in, I think her name was Priscilla, was excellent. Super friendly and as helpful as she could be in that set up. My Uhaul had the 'check engine' light on and low pressure in the left tire which was concerning, but I had to leave as I had a booked time to move out of my apartment.

Aamon RichardsonI had reservations for selfpick up at 8am. I found my rental and everything seem to be good. However when i had to grab the keys the message on the website said to pick them up from the “office” (which they actually don’t have as they use one of the trucks as there office because the building was closed by NYC due to the health hazard inside) but the location is not open till 9am. So instead of moving my things i had to wait for an hour for someone to come to give me the keys that were supposed to be left in the key box. Will never use it again!!
Yevhen StamikovThis location had damaged vehicles. The tire pressure light was on, oil change light, and serval other things in the dashboard. The side door window was shattered/cracked, the bumper on the corner was cracked, inside wasn’t clean. I was very disappointed and I get uhauls almost every weekend.
Latoya DavisIt took 2 hours after my reservation time to pick up my keys. The service was really slow and flawed. The door of the truck I rented didn’t close all the way properly and had to deal with the warning beep in the car. When I dropped off I had to deal with website errors to check out and had to call the customer services way too many times to rent a truck just for 6 hours for moving to a new apartment. This was a really poor and unpleasant experience for me, wasted a lot of time. I hope you improve your service
Anton ShenkThe location was closed. There is not a parking lot. You have to dive around several blocks until you find a parking spot in Brooklyn then walk back to this location to return the key. It’s not the best part of town and there was no signage explaining these instructions.

Justin RichardMobile check in was confusing and (I assume to no fault of the people working at the location) the people working there couldn’t help or provide insight to mobile check in so when left confused, you were on your own. Would recommend choosing non-mobile check in at this location, and probably any other location, to avoid challenges.

Brian AllawayIt was a HORRIBLE experience. I don’t even know where to begin. When I got there and finished the whole authentication process, the website assigned me the van BE 7603X and it says that I don’t need to open the lock for the key, that I should be able to pick it up from one of the staff members instead. I talked to the guy and starts looking at the keys he had but he couldn’t find it so he told me to press “ Found my truck” to get the code instead. I did it and all that popped up was an error page. I reload the website like 3 times and the same error kept popping up. I logged into my account again and it said that my reservation was active and the van was dispatched, the only thing I needed to do was to return my truck. I talked to the guy again and was USELESS. Another guy came in and check in his phone and saw that the same van was rented by the people who were there before me. Like, how is it even possible that the system assigns the same van to two different reservations? I called the U-Haul hotline, USELESS too. She actually told me “talk to the guys there because at this point they can help you more than what I can”. This new guy calls a lady who finally can make changes and assign me another car, she offers me a van with no gas at all and told me to take a picture of the gas receipt and they will issue me a credit, whaaaat? Mind you, I had to pick up some furniture no later than 6. I went there at 4:30pm so I could have time in case of some issue, it was already 5:45pm so NO I didn’t have time to put gas first. Then, they assigned me another truck and gave me the keys but no directions to find it. Mind you, this is New York City, there’s no parking lot they were parked around the city so I walked another 30 min looking around for that truck. I had to come back to the location and tell them to find it for me. At that point it was going to be a miracle if I made it to the store. Finally, after all that nightmare I come back an hour later to do all the return process and they charged me $30 for gas fee for 6 MILES? Really? I got the truck at 1/4 tank (it was less) and used for 6miles, the needle barely went down. Believe me for $70 I rather pay $80 delivery and have someone to bring it home instead of experiencing all this again

Norman BettyThere's no office or anything, it's just a very long row of U-Haul trucks along an extremely sketchy stretch of road. The only way to find your vehicle is just to walk along the row and look at the numbers on each truck, which could take up to 10 minutes depending on how fast you can walk. Truck still had trash in it from the previous user. Does no one clean them in between uses?

The check in/check out experience was nothing short of cumbersome, the equipment I ordered wasn’t there and the customer service was extremely unhelpful. Not to mention, the pricing is a scam-nickel and diming plain and simple. Upfront, my estimated cost was $40, at the end, over $100. Save yourself the time and pay a little extra for movers.

To verify identity, it wouldn't recognize me because of my beard, I had to try so many times and make weird faces to get it to finally work . . . And the. Taking pics at the end of the ride, I kept getting upload errors over and over on certain views. I think it was a file size issue with the default image size on my phone. I ended up having to take several of the pictures using my selfie cam to get it to upload, and spent almost half an hour getting through the vehicle return because of it . . Very frustrating
