Facility was a dump. I received word that my pickup had moved to this location, and the hours of operation were 8AM-5PM. I arrived at 8:15 AM and it was not open. Someone arrived at 8:20, and said they would open at 8:30. When I finished with my rental, I called this location TWICE to see if I could drop the trailer at another location that was nearer to my home, and received no answer. I returned it to this location, and no one was in the office to check it back in. Very disappointed.Kenneth R.

There was no issue with the equipment. However, my confirmed rental in Parsippany was diverted to Mine Hill 30 min before my scheduled pick up. This resulted in me driving at lest 20 miles out of the way for the pick up & returning of the equipment, which translated into 2 extra hours of time and more money in gas. As a loyal U haul customer, I'd like to know what can be done about this. Thank youJames G.

This is not the correct address for pickup, this address takes you to a different UHaul location. I started my online check in at this location and when I couldn't find the box with the keys I found the correct location and went there. Then I tried to complete my check in and it skipped over most of the process and would not let me start over to retrieve the key from the box. I also could not confirm any damage or upload pics. I had to go inside to speak to someone because no one was answering the phones. They had the key in the office and not the box outside as the contactless pickup should.Joseph S.
Very unhappy that the largest part of my bill was the mileage to pick up the vehicle and deliver it back to you. Have used U-Haul for one-way rentals in tha past and had plenty of time since the reservation for a vehicle to have been available locally. Even if I had to go that far to get it, I should have been able to drop it off locally.Edward D.
First thing is to open at 8:00 AM like the reservation. Three customers including myself waited until 8:35 AM until they unlocked the door. They only had one rep handling everything so I had to wait for the customer in front of me to check in even though I checked in online to "save time". Then i hooked on the car transporter to my truck to find a broken wheel strap. I had to go back in to get switched out. I worked for Enterprise for 24 years as a Controller and I would have had an issue if any of our branches treated a client in this way. Horrible experience.Patricio H.

The dealer did a great job but the reservation process through the 800 number was awful. They just don't care! This was a last minute rental for picking up a trailer 4 hours after the reservation was made. When I called the 800 number the woman I spoke to told me there was a trailer available in Mountain Lakes and I was sent a reservation confirmation showing Mountain lakes as the pick up location. After I hung up the phone I received another e-mail for On Line check in. After completing the form I called the Mountain Lakes location and was told they had no reservation for me . They were nice enough to check my reservation number and informed me the reservation was for Mine Hill which was more than 15 miles in the opposite direction that I had to travel. They tell you to go 1 place then switch it without informing you. I will say that when I went back and reviewed the e-mails from U-Haul the On line check in did show the change in the pick up location in small east to miss print. Customer service from U-Haul is terrible!Robert S.

Unsafe equipment. Bent fender rubbing tire left side of auto transport. Anthony, the UHaul rep, told me in a phone call that the previous renter had rated the trailer "safe" and that was good enough for him. Anthony is not competent to handle equipment or represent UHaul. Kudos to Kevin at Power Portal in Hackettstown who let me drop the trailer there to avoid a blowout getting back to Dovet.Andrew J.

The trolly had a flat tire when it was given to us and we only noticed it when we loaded our car on it to start driving. getting it fixed cost us 3 1/2 hours which resulted in getting to the destination late, and having to pay extra for movers for waiting for us to arrive, not being able to empty the truck on time, having to find a place to park it overnight instead of returning it and having movers come back the next morning to complete the job.Sam K.

It took me an hour to get the key via phone. I had 9 people waiting at my apartment that whole time while "Rosaline" was trying to approve me. I input 4 alternate contacts and 3 of them answered and approved. I also gave my employers contact info as requested, but of course nobody answered IT'S A SUNDAY ON A HOLIDAY WEEKEND! Last time I use U-Haul. Next time I'll get a home depot truck.Craig P.

Anthony and Jen are awesome. Things always go smooth when they are around. The app to pickup and drop off is horrible. Every time takes me a half hour of walking around in the dark taking pics. Then you have to wake up whoever approves the pics at uhaul. The app is a great idea, just poorly executed.Sean H.

GPS takes you to back of building, but you can't tell you're in the correct location. Have to go around to big grey building with poor signage. I would have had a hard time finding the building and the office if it was after hours. Once I was in the right place, the representative was very nice and helpful.Lissette Q.

The equipment was great and worked tremendously. Issue Uhaul on the other hand has to work it some bugs with their 24/7 ride share app and also their customer service over the phone. I set up a truck to pick up at 8 pm and because the app couldn't find my reservation I was left on hold for 45 minutes before I cancelled my reservation and went home. Came back the next morning only to have the same thing happen again. Operator told me that morning that because my reservation was made after business hours I was not eligible to pick up the vehicle before the location opened..... The websight shouldn't let you book it then!!! Over all Uhaul's websight wasted about 2 hours of my time.David D.

Rented a truck and trailer. Was not at lake hopatcong where we reserved it. Which was close to our home. Was called morning of by 3 different people to pick up in mine hill Nj. Told 2 different places to go. Truck and trailer were in 2 different locations which was very inconvenient. Then when we got to our destination we needed to return car trailer. Before the truck husband called U-Haul.was told we could only return Trail in Iran's city Florida.which was also an inconvenience as it was a 45 min drive. When we arrived there my husband was screamed at by the women running the place telling him we would have to pay another 300 dollars. Thank you for making an already stressful time much worse. Will never use your see as it is not customer friendly.Dan D.
