Very sad never got the van I reserved waited 11/2 hours for van share ! To have no key in lock box had to go to U haul store for another van Still got charged for first van WHERE IS MY REFUND !!!! Never again will I use U-HaulGeorge D.

The app is terrible. I did the truck share thing, and wasn't prepared to have a copy of my lease/mortgage with me to pickup the truck. Also, my place of business is closed on saturdays. And I couldn't use the people with me as alternate contacts cause they were already on the rental. It was terrible and I'll never use the app again.Matt H.

First, don't ask the Renter for all this last minute documentation 2 out of 5 Documentation/ Verification less than hour before they are to pick up there rental. I was scheduled to pick up my a rental which I made days in advance at Aubuchon Hardware in Ipswich for Monday8/17/20 at 8:00 A.M. got there at 8:30 did all the verification ect. Found my assigned vehicle. No Key!!! The back of my vehicle was unlocked. No one ever emptied the key drop box and reset up the pad locks with the keys on them for Any of the Rental Vehicles. I went into Aubuchon Hardware, the Manager on duty told me they have no keys and nothing to do with the U-Haul rentals. I call 1 800 UHaul wait 40 minutes to speak with Customer Service. I finally get someone, I explain the situation and am put on hold. Then my call is dropped. Call back wait 50 minutes and get Margie who was extremely helpful was apologetic to the fact I had been at Aubuchon Hardware well over 2 hours. and never put me on hold. She tried to get Field Manager Mark to help but due to the size of his field and the fact he was on another call, we decided to cancel my reservation and have me pick up my vehicle further north in Newbury.Winifred R.
The van was not only not sanitized it was down right dirty! Dog hair on the seat that i had to try to vacuum off because my husband has allergies. There were empty waiter bottles on the floor, dirt and food on the floor, windshield was dirty. We had to spend time we didn't have to clean it before we brought our daughter to college at 7:30 am!Ellen A.

Had reservation confirmation, thought I was all set took Uber to uhaul to find out my truck wasn't there,and was at location 10 miles further away ( which I had to use another Uber) I was furious,why send me confirmation saying it's at one location to get there and be told it's somewhere else, there was no dolly that I asked for, and they over charged me 50 plus dollars more than I was quoted,not happy at all-had I any other choice, would never use uhaul again,maybe budget next timematt C.

The truck was covered in grease and dirt. I had to cover the entire inside with plastic in-order to use it. i called and notify he location .Anthony N.
It was a complete nightmare. I am a realtor in town and have recommended UHAUL in past. Not anymore. It was Sunday so nobody there so stood out in the parking lot for over 30 minutes trying to get the truck at UHAUL. Was on hold for 17 minutes. My phone didn't recognize the location. Nobody available to help. 90 degree heat. When I did finally get someone they fixed the problem in about a minute, would have been good to know beforehand. Took another 15 minutes for them to "verify" my rental. Simply an awful experience, would not recommend UHAUL to anyone now.John M.

I had reserved a truck a month before and when I got there they told me they didn't struck that size, and I had to drive 40 miles away while I was paying for 3 movers. I had to wait 3 hours until another U-haul facility opened while I was paying 3 movers 150.00 an hour. I ended up getting a small truck which cost me twice as much. They also told me they tried to call me and sent mean email, which it didn't happened. I will never use them again!!!!Maria T.

The agent who rented me the vehicle substantially under stated the charges I could expect when I called on the phone to inquire. He said the day rate was $70 when in fact it was $79 and he said the additional mileage rate was 20 cents per mile and it was 29 cents. I went with this agent because his quoted rate was better than another nearby facility-that facility quoted the exact rates I actually received from the agent I rented from. It felt like a bate and switch. The lock on the sliding door did not work so I was unable to fully lock the vehicle and i would characterize the vehicle as reasonably clean but not spotless. Originally went to the Gloucester location to rent a truck for single direction. I had called the night before and everything was set up. Arrived at location in AM and unfortunately the vehicle was not there, not was it going to be there anytime soon. The lady at the office called around and found that the uhaul in Newbury had a vehicle available which was great, but added another 80 minutes and many miles to get back to Gloucester/Rockport before headed to the arrival destination. Fortunatley the receiving location comped the additional mileage I went over because of this situation. I understand schedualing can be a daunting task, however it was frustrating to have to keep rescheduling everything in my day for plans were confir.ed ahead of time.brendon L.

door of truck did not properly close initial reservation made at Salisbury location. I changed the number of days I needed the truck. the location was changed however i did receive any clear notification of the location change despite receiving notification that my day and time was changed. as a result i went to Salisbury location and nearly missed getting truck from Newbury location.
