I would recommend putting up some signage to make it look like an actual u-haul site. Sweeping the lot and painting lines for parking spots would also help it look professional and attended to.Brad R.

I had scheduled my pickup for 8:30 AM. At 8 AM, the people I was buying furniture from called me to say we would have to push back the time I was picking up stuff. So, I didn't rush to pick up the truck and got there maybe 45 minutes later and couldn't pick up the truck contact-less because there was no "pickup my truck" button on the reservation. Luckily, the UHAUL office was open and they fixed it, which was evidently due to my not picking my truck up on time. I've been a customer for 25 years and never have I heard that you have to arrive right on the dot or your truck reservation is null and void. The woman at the counter was a bit hostile about it.HEATHER R.

Your website interface definitely needs some streamlining. I had to give up and call the location manager for help checking out the van because instructions on the site are not clear, misleading, and in some cases, redundant. At the very end, the entire data entry had to be junked because my password did not work. There has to be a better workflow.CHARLES D J.

All of the processing was done through an app and we had difficulty. The location was not helpful and just sent us to national. No where in the instructions did we see that the credit card name had to be the same as the renter. This resulted in much delay and rework. I had reservations to pick up a 20' truck at 5:00 PM and had it reserved for 24 hours. At 4:30 PM I called to ask if I can pick it up later since I was going to do it over the phone anyway. "No problem" was the answer. A little after 8:00 PM I get a call from UHaul saying since I didn't pick up the truck at 5:00 they gave it to someone else. After pleading my case and the facts, they didn't seem to care. Finally after getting angrier they relented and said I could pick it up in a couple of hours. When I plan for something and make reservations I expect them to be honored especially when I call ahead of time.Daniel N.

The only problem was a number of large, flattened boxes (20+) unexpectedly left in the van by the previous user, which the woman at the location suddenly had to take care of. She will reprimand the previous user, rightfully so since they are a regular customer and should KNOW Better.David R.

The truck was very tired. No actual cup holders. Shifted hard. Mirror on the left wouldn't stay in place. The location they gave us to drop off was over an hour from the destination. Too expensive. After renting storage units from U-Haul in Portsmouth and being charged for the whole month when I moved out on the 2nd and renting a truck from this location in Newmarket, I'd rather not deal with U-Haul any more. U-Haul is an inconvenient ripoff.John M.

The key was not left for us in the drop box. The woman who eventually brought it to us never apologized and didn't acknowledge the fact that she cut into our rental time by being late with the key. We also paid $5 to rent half a dozen furniture pads which were not in the truck and we didn't bother asking for them as it was after hours and we needed to start moving our things into the truck asap. Overall it felt like a very disorganized process.John K.

The most aggravating part of this pick and returning is the mobile app. Not super user friendly and the link to transmit kept going down and had to start over, Picking up it took over 20 minutes in the cold and returning took as long that we finally went up to the office stating we had had enough with trying to submitRobert H.

Prior to renting this truck, I contacted a U Haul agent by phone, as I knew that I would be returning it after hours. The agent was friendly and helpful and she told me that I could leave the truck at the U Haul location and call an agent to let them know that I had delivered the truck. She said, that way I would not be responsible for any damage that might occur during the time before the location opened. I followed her instructions and was told by another agent that because the return date was by 10/29 and I was returning it on the night of 10/27, that It was like I didn't even return it and that I would be responsible for the truck. I followed instructions on returning the truck and dropped the paperwork and keys in the drop box, but she said it did not matter I amdispleased with the mixed messages and the attitude of the second agentJanice L.
