This location was acceptable with pleasant workers. However, a nationwide outtage prevented us from getting out truck on time. This location was not able to enter our truck return and we had to wait 3 days, make multiple calls for an area manager to return.

Angelicaj MellomidaWould never recommend this location. Walked in to nobody there, waited for 20 minutes before anyone showed up. The uhaul truck was given to us with a quarter tank of gas, and it was filthy. The console and seats were sticky like syrup, and someone else trash and food was still in it from a previous rental. It stank. We also paid for a Dolly, and this location didn't have the one we rented, and they wouldn't reimburse us for that. No one did a walk around tour with us to talk about damages or rules or anything.
Samantha HuebnerTruck was almost on empty and the guys at the desk forced my colleague to pay for a full tank before leaving. We took photos of the tank upon leaving that did not correspond with what they were showing. Absolute scam they are running at the location and extremely rude.

Araceli HernandezI reserved a furniture dolly but the vendor was using it for their own uses and did not give it to me. I had to go all the way to a different Uhaul location just for that. The handtruck I reserved was also being used by the vendor, but they did give that to me. However, the back supports were broken and clanging around when used. Upon returning the van I rented, their staff person was very rude and short, couldn’t be bothered with any questions.

Kimberly RethyThis was the absolute worst experience of my life! I had a 1:30 pick up for which I arrived at 1:20 and there was no one there. I called customer service and waited on hold for over 20 minutes and was disconnected at that point a gentleman comes in and I explain that I am there for a U-Haul rental and he says, “ the guy who runs this part isn’t here, he went to luck and should be back in 10 minutes”. At this point I’m pissed. And I ask well can you not assist me? I’m on a schedule and I had a 1:30 pick up and I was told flat out, “ I have nothing to do with this part what’s the rush anyway”. What kind of customer service is this? After losing my shit because how dare you ask what’s the rush, he say I will call him for you. I then attempt to call customer service again and wait on hold before being disconnected once more. The guy who runs “that part” finally walks in at 20 after 2 but no before stopping outside to have a personal conversation with “ a friend he hasn’t seen in a while”, excuse sir you have a customer who has been waiting for an hour now. Not once did I get an apology or anything for the inconvenience I was caused. I will never ever again use this service nor recommend any to use U-Haul and I’m quite tempting to blog about it. This is ridiculous and should have never happened. How do you leave for lunch when you had a prior scheduled customer to come in for which you should have adjusted your lunch schedule to be available for!

Adrienne GunterMy bill was twice the amount it should have been with a very unclear receipt. I will be contacting u-haul and I do not recommend this location. When I called back, all they said was that I had to call U-haul with no explanation of the fees.

Utku GumusayThe day before I was scheduled to pick up the Uhaul I was informed that the pick up location had changed. It was changed to a location that didn't have packing supplies, which I was not informed of, so I was unable to get the supplies I pre-ordered online. So after picking up the Uhaul, I went to the original Uhaul location in Edison to get the supplies. But the line was long and moving slow, so I had to leave before getting my supplies because the movers were waiting. On top of that, we had to walk a few blocks away from the pick up location to get to the truck. By the time we got back to my apartment, we realized the dolly I paid for was not in the truck. I am very disappointed in this Uhaul experience. But the Uhaul employees were all very nice.
Jason AlexanderI like the service provided. What I suggest to improve the service is within the computer system itself. We had to repeat information such as our name, address and phone numbers because it wasn’t verifiable in the system. Other than that the service was good.

Irene MalamutWorst moving experience of my life. Moving by itself is hard, having helpers wait for you for more than 2 hrs in uncertainty adds a lot more stress and hardness to it. Keep your promises. Be responsible and don't say "You didn't rent your truck from me. Call Them (U-Haul) and ask them for your truck." When this happened I tried to call U-Haul customer service, and I ended up on hold for more than 30 minutes and had to hang up without speaking to anyone there.
Ali RostamiThe place itself wasn't the issue. The UHaul system is a mess. Every 5 mins the amount we were to pay kept changing and of course the change was always to pay more.
Tyrone UnderwoodThis location should be blacklisted from U-Haul. The people working on site refused to give me my keys without approval from their boss, who happened to be on vacation until 4 days later. After 45 minutes of arguing with the employees, calling their boss (who told me tough luck over the phone), and arguing with U-Haul customer service via the phone, I finally was able to wrangle the keys from them. Do NOT deal with this location if at all possible.

ANDREW ARDOLINANot the sites fault; but I called to reserve a tuck and a trailer in my area a day before my move. I was told that there were no trucks in my area with a transport and I needed to go to NJ. I told the person on the phone that Perth Amboy would be the best place in NJ for me to go. They set everything up and I am given an address, I punch in the address into my GPS and its not in Perth Amboy NJ, but its in North Jersey. I get a ride to the location just to find out that the location only had the trailer I need to go else where to pick up the truck. I was told the place that had the truck canceled my reservation and it became a mad hunt to find a truck. A truck was found an hour south of where I was, so I had to drive another hour to get the truck, then another hour back to get the trailer; then forty minutes back to NY, The toll to cross from NY to NJ with a truck and a trailer was $45. I was unhappy with this and I was never told to pick up the truck in a different location!!!

ANDRE LITTLETruck was leaking from the roof onto the driver. BUCKETS of water because I was driving in a storm. Very bad experience. I was soaking wet and very distracted on the highway. Will never rent again from Uhaul.

BRIDGET TIBIRUThe personnel at the location were very helpful, but the facility itself was poor. There was no option to purchase any extra packing or tie downs. There were no options to purchase Tow accessories. The equipment itself was stored in a different address than the actual location, so had to drive out to it to have the hitch hooked. Had to purchase tie downs from a nearby Autozone.
