I reserved a trailer and an appliance dolly several weeks prior to pick up. When I arrived at the facility I was told there was no appliance dolly, and at the last one was rented out the day before. I told the guy that I had reserved it and it should be waiting here for me. He just shrugged his shoulders and said I don't know what to tell you. This was the most unprofessional facility I have ever seen. The U-Haul business is a secondary business to this what looks to be a revamped gas station mechanic facility. And then when I did get the trailer it was filthy there was trash and junk and wood still in the trailer. And then when I returned the trailer it took forever to get a receipt and I was not going to leave that place without a return receipt showing that I had returned the furniture dolly and the trailer. I went and rented an appliance dolly at a much better and more professional U-Haul facility that's in Lewisville right on I-35 you're better off going there. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS SO-CALLED RENTAL FACILITYJAMES R.

They charged me $14 for insurance that I didn't want and I repeatedly told them I didn't want it. I also reserved a furniture dolly that was not available upon pick up. They also wrote the wrong return time than what we verbally discussed. It was much more expensive than the online quote.APRIL W.
My reservation was transferred to this location because the original location didn't have my equipment. I arrived expecting the trailer and appliance dolly, only the trailer was there. I kept the trailer reservation and was advised that if I had the trailer returned before 6 p.m. central, I wouldn't be charged the rental. While I found that odd, I thought it was great. I had the trailer returned by 5:50. They didn't check the trailer in until 6:37. So I was charged for that. As they didn't have the appliance dolly, so I had to travel to an alternate location and waste 45 more minutes to get that. When o contacted customer care about the issue them phone advisor contacted the store and hung up the line leaving me on hold with the store who's neglected to talk to me. They said hello and immediately placed the call back on hold. Took the call off of hold, and left the line on so I could hear the conversations of the employees and their current customers. That was after sitting on hold for 30+ minutes just with the store. I called back and waited another 30 minutes just to be connected to a customer care rep.Todd D.

When I shared the â€œstory of our experience - they apologized and provided sincere concerns on the poor service yet they reiterated that Uhaul does give a rip. I also shared with them that we originally were getting two trucks in Montgomery then it was one in Auburn one in Alexander City then it changed to Ozark. Running all over during an already stressful time of moving would have cost us 10 hours of productivity. We arrived in Texas Monday evening at 11 pm. Tuesday morning the rentor passed away in his sleep. I had to wait for a friend to drive into town to help me return the vehicle. When I returned the truck the man offered to â€œhelpâ€ with another rental. Why would any customer provide continued business to a company that does not value their business. The renters card was then charged an additional fee. Not sure what it is for. Uhaul robots without â€œ heartâ€ will not receive repeat business. And the negative will be shared with others - it cost 10 times to overturn bad service and attitudes. This was not our first rental and we also had storage units - they have been immediately cancelled. I'm sure this input will fall on deaf ears however, the employees who do care deserve to work for a reputable company.LARRY B.

What is the point of making a reservation and "checking in" if the store doesn't have any information when you arrive. When I got to the store, I still needed to wait because no information was loaded to the computer. And then the equipment I rented was rusted to the point I had a hard time ratcheting the straps to secure the car to the car dolly. Worst experience ever!!!Joe C.

We dropped off our truck EARLY.....the evening before it was due. However, they did not process it until the following afternoon and so we were charged extra that we do not owe. I have spent more than 40 minutes on hold to try to get this corrected, as well as using the online chat. Someone is supposed to be getting back to me. Frustrating.Jill L.
If you change my reservation to a different location because the truck is not available at the original location, then the new location needs to be well-informed and all of the equipment that I rented to go along with the truck needs to be present at the new location as well.Angelica T.

The lady at the desk was friendly and helpful. She efficiently processed my online reservation. I had to hitch up the trailer myself and waited for someone to come out to check the lights and verify the hitch was connected correctly. There's a better location I'll use in the future.Steven C.
One item in inventory was broken and unavailable but I was given a replacement and at no charge seemingly as I later saw, albeit not the equipment I ideally had hoped for. No mask wearing from any employee though, including presumably the location manager. Made me uncomfortable while waiting to pick up my equipment.BENJAMIN L.

Trailer was covered in oil, had to fix the right wheel hold down ratchet so it could be used. The left ramp when pulled out would not go back in because the latch hold down bracket has the wrong hardware installed. We had to use a pry bar in order to get the ramp to slide in.Aaron H.

We had nothing but problems checking in and checking out with the Uhaul portal. It made the branch and myself waste over an hour and a half of time calling in for people at Uhaul to fix the issues. It was a very unpleasant experience. However, the staff at the location did everything they could to fix it.Leo M.

I have made reservations to use this product 2 times. Records would show that I had to chase down the product in different locations to pick up. On drop off, a uhaul vendor is just blocks away from my home but it was not on your list therefore I had to drive into another city to drop off. Very inconvenience for pick up and drop off.john G.

The employee was not thrilled to be there. playing on phone and listening to ear pods. I did online check in but still had to go through the entire process when i arrived. The trailer was not hooked up correctly. The safety chains were not crossed and on both sides of the hitch. -The inside could have been swept better. -The person who connected the trailer in Denton, TX did not cross the safety chains which is basic trailer knowledge. Upon dropping it off to my final location, the U-Haul employee just shook his head when he saw the way it was hooked up. -The left rear tire was almost completely out of air by the time I got to my location and unloaded. This was annoying because I just had tire issues with another U-haul trailer that I rented a couple of weeks before. I really think U-haul needs to have someone in charge of quality control at each location that is responsible for making sure all trailers are thoroughly clean, properly connected, tires inflated correctly and carefully inspected for any defects, etc, before a customer leaves the lot. The employee should have to sign a paper stating the trailer has been checked over and hooked up properly to the best of their knowledge and a receipt given to the customer so that if there is an issue, they know who is responsible for connecting it. I may still consider renting a U-Haul truck for future moves, but I will never rent another trailer as it's just been too much aggravation.Paul S.
