They never signed in my equipment. I did exactly what the turn in instructions said and it took a month to formally sign my equipment in. Maybe this is why U-Haul doesn't have any truck and trailers to rent.Rick P.

I returned the van on3 July, It took multiple phone calls and SEVERAL HOURS on hold, then waiting a MONTH for the return to process, and to finally receive my receipt. That is not satisfactory. Had to take trailer back and exchange it the first one had a broken leaf spring didn't notice till next morning when went to load trailer. The exchange was quick and painless. When I returned trailer in Brunswick it still had old trailer number not new one. Communication was hard they owners spoke with a heavy Indian accent.Kevin W.

They were not helpful, had to pay more because The one I wanted sound like a tractor and tire light was on and it was filthy. Had to spend not money. I believe the over charged me. I can't understand them when talking. No good experienceLillian L.
The truck needs to be taken out of service. It is loud and runs horrible. The water and check engine light stayed on as well as the service tire monitor system. The inside was nasty and has trash everywhere. Please tell this location is also not my responsibility to bring an appliance dolly back inside the store. I am not an employee of U-Haul and that everything is submitted online at the end. They literally wanted me to walk back outside to the truck, take more pictures, and show them the gas and miles. You could start by addressing your customer service staff. U-Haul cost me over two hours in time, close to $100 in fuel. U-Haul cancel my reservation without my knowledge or consent, caused me to have to drive and wait almost a total of three hours to get a trailer from a different location, after canceling my reservation. The first location where I was originally supposed to pick up the trailer had a flat tire and nobody cared to do anything about it, they even knew before I picked it up a entire day. not a care in the world was given or shown. I showed up at my first location where I had four email confirmations to originally pick up and when I walked in and told the person I was here to pick up a trailer they looked at me and said it's flat find somewhere else and offered no other help whatsoever.Matthew J.

The vehicle cab needed vacuuming. The road hazard kit was open and pieces were under the driver's seat. The engine exhaust system was extremely loud. Sounded like the muffler wasn't even connected. The vehicle information system indicated low air in the front left tire. Not sure that was accurate. I noticed the check engine light on the dash was on. I can't say it was on when I first cranked the vehicle. The drivers side door had to be slammed hard to shut. The storage part to the vehicle was clean but smelled strongly of fertilizer or something like it. This was the second time I have rented from this location. Better lighting for drop off (parking area was completely dark), help disconnecting trailer (had to do it alone), actually inspecting the trailer's condition (they didn't even come outside to look at it, let alone inspect with me), better checkout system (they just wrote the RV number on a paper bag and sent me an email later). The worst haul experience on the day and time I had scheduled for. This actual location is run via phone from a gas station. Strange to,say the least. I was charged extra for having to go out of my way to get a truck due to the location I had a reservation with Not having a truck available (paid ahead of t8me and confirmed 3 ways). Originally reserved truck at 1221 S Memorial Dr. Prattville(on line). However when I arrived to pick up truck was told that their truck was out of service and that the manager left a note saying I could go across town to pick one up. Ok, but the manager should have given me a Courtesy call telling me that I needed to pick up across town. Really ticked me off that he didn't give me a call before I showed up to get truck. Had no problem with 2565 Cobbsford location. Will avoid Memorial Dr. Location and will look at other truck vendors in the future.Abner S.

Considering I had rented a trailer in GA and dropped it off at the U-haul center on South Memorial in Prattville, AL, that experience was great. Then I had to rent another trailer at the above address and this location should have the U-haul franchise or license pulled and here are the reasons why, NO ONE hooked up the trailer to my tow vehicle, NO ONE supplied me with an extension wire too hook from the trailer to my tow vehicle (had to take it from another trailer), NO ONE checked to see if lights worked or if it was hooked up right. This place is unacceptable as far as where the trailers are stored as there was a big 3 foot pot hole where you had to enter the storage area. The security fencing was damage badly and there is weeds growing up all the trailers. Definitely will not rent from this location again.Larry K.

When I reserved the truck it was for the location at Davis Cars on N L St in Pensacola. When calling to confirm I was told there were no trucks with a 90 mile radius of Pensacola and was told a truck was on hold in Robertsdale, AL about 45 minutes away. Having to drive over an hour and half out of the way was huge inconvenience as we had to load items at two different locations in Pensacola then drive 3 hours back to Alabama that same day. This put us almost 4 hours behind schedule. Furthermore, later in the afternoon I received a phone call from another UHaul location in Pensacola, stating that the district office had called that morning putting a truck on hold for me, but I wasn't informed of this reservation until around 1 pm after making the trip to Alabama to pick up the truck. The original location (In Davis Hardware, 3225 N L St, Pensacola, FL) caused our already complicated and difficult move day to run 4 hours behind schedule when there was another truck being held for us at a much closer location than the one we were informed of 40+ miles day.Anthony R.

Uhaul changed the time and location of my pickup 3 times within 24 hours of my scheduled pickup. There is absolutely zero communication from the corporate reservation people to the actual stores and it causes extreme amounts of undue stress/pressureBen G.

I hurt my back very bad putting trailer on truck! The trailer is WAY too heavy to be doing by lifting for 1 person. The trailers need to have a hand jack on them to raise the tounge. ridiculous not to have on there. its amazing you havent been sued for that do to personal injury...ANDREW I.

Make sure they have everything they paid for and make sure their Uhaul don't drive like your going down a bumpy dirt road. I'll carry my stuff by hand before renting another Uhaul. It's a real inconvenience when pay for the rental of an appliance Dolly for it not to be there. Of something is wrong you don't always have a lot of time to reschedule a move of any time at all due to an order being wrong.Jeremy L.

I had a reservation for a box trailer I arrived on time to be told they did not have one the clerk at the location was very incapable of doing the job he had to call his boss/supervisor several times. I ended up renting a smaller open trailer, now I have to make a second trip from Cabot, AR to Montgomery, Alabama and noone had a box trailer, I was told if the box trailer was not ready or there at the agreed time I would get a 50 dollar credit that I never received. The trailer had trash laying in it the clerk never came and inspected it or anything.Marvin N.

The battery died so that we could not leave once we got the truck loaded. We were able to jump-start it from a car battery but it took additional time to get a good charge that we were not expecting. In addition, I put in a roadside assistance request online but it was not replied to for more than an hour. Then, the person at the drop-off location acted like he was doing us a favor by not charging for the time that we were late returning the truck because of the battery issue.Joni H.
The rear end differential seal was leaking. Leaked all over my driveway and left a huge stain that I had to spend a lot of time and money cleaning when I should have been packing and moving. Hopefully the couple who bought my house don't mind a huge driveway stain..Strange sounds were coming from it as I drove. Luckily I didn't have far to go since it was a day rental in town. I made reservation on 6/25 for a truck on 7/17, I called on 7/15 to confirm. Pick up location was changed to Birmingham (an hour away) agent finally found a trailer in Prattville that I had to pick up on the way. When I got to Prattville I spoke with rep who told me that I was all set to pull around and hook up. (I refused and told him that Uhaul away hooks up and verifies that everything is working. Finally he arrived and one of his employees took care (who was excellent) Rep did give extra day since I was picking up a day earlier in another town than was originally scheduled.Wesley C.
The truck was neither clean nor well maintained. I'd replace the bald tires, seal the leaks in the cab, & maybe look at the shifting on the truck. A few minor things beyond that, management was rude & didn't seem to know how to use the online reservations, the location didn't have the dolly I requested, & the truck was filthy with dirt & cigarette smell. This was easily the worst experience I've had with UHaul.Matthew C.

the girl didn't even inspect the trailer, told me to drop off in the fence. Then she was talking about the refund of the blankets but charged me $28 for an EXTRA day, when I was over a day early according to the APP when I rented, 3 days. The truck I received was not clean. I used the mobile pickup feature. The app tried to charge me a clean up fee and the mobile feature had the gas gauge incorrect. I did not have a good picture of the gas gauge so I could not verify where it was at pickup but I only traveled 18 miles so gas usage did not add up to the charges. I am disappointed have to pay for gas that I didn't use. However the ladies on staff did what they could to assist me. Their customer service was great.Woodie P.

This is a disgrace to the uhaul brand. The lot looks like an abandoned post apocalyptic zombie war zone with overgrown kudzu along the sides of the enclosure. The fence that, I suppose, at a point in time, was driven by a sensor motor was pummeled to the ground. nervous to walk around to the back of the truck, to snap the photos for the online drop off due to dilapidated storage sheds, abandoned vehicles, and potential snake sighting in the wild kudzu overgrowth. In short, the best thing you can do to improve for the next customer is to tear this location down and start over.Jeremy H.

I was told by the person on-site that I needed to fill up the gas tank before and after using the truck. He brought me a truck with an empty gas tank. I later find out that he was supposed to fill up the tank prior and I am responsible to fill it back up afterwards, which is fair. After seeing how little gas compensation I will get back, I submit a ticket with the issue of my gas compensation. I never get a reply but I do get a confirmation for my payment. I'm active duty, I move a lot and have used uhaul services plenty before. This is absolutely the worst and most unorganized time I've had with this process, not to mention the blatant lying of the outsourced employee at the location.Chance C.

I had a bad experience using uhaul at this location. First, the owner of this location was late and my movers and I had to wait for at least 20 minutes for him to arrive to get the truck. Once he arrive he was very short and rude. The transaction went smoothly. However, when I dropped off the truck, the cashier used my credit card to purchase an item for herself. I called the owner to let him know what had happened and they hung up on me the first time. I called back a second time they told me they would check on it. So, I had to go back to the location and provided evidence to the owner that I was falsely charged.shannon M.
