They didn't have a dolly cart that we ordered and didn't call us or email us to let us know they didn't have one so we weren't able to get another dolly cart. We also got a call saying that we could get $25 off if we transported a POD trailer for them and when we went to pick up our truck, they said they never had a POD trailer for us transport. The tongue/hitch of the trailer was positioned in a mud puddle. There wasn't an attendant on site so I had to repeatedly back my car up and get out step in the mud 7 times before finally get it hitched up.JAMES H.
If you are providing equipment, there is no reason a customer should have to drive 2 hours to pick up. Or pick a trailer up with no one present! Unless absolutely necessary I will not use U-Haul again!John W.

No one was on-site for the pick-up I communicated over the phone with the lady I was working with. No one was there to assist with hooking up the trailer to my vehicle. The trailer was parked at a downward incline with a stick placed as a tire stop. If I hadn't had experience with hooking up a trailer to my vehicle it would have been difficult to do. I had to lift the 6X12 trailer tongue by myself on a downward incline and position it on my vehicle. I paid $201 to rent the trailer and for the insurance I would have expected someone to be there for a few moments to make sure I understood everything before I took the trailer. If I hadn't really needed the trailer and hadn't driven 119 miles just to pick it up I would have left it there and cancelled the contract.Ivan C.

Our drop off time was 4 pm and there was not a drop off box for the keys so we had to leave under a rug. My location on my phone was not working when we dropped off the truck. Waited a 1/2 to get someone from the main U-haul to confirm that the truck was dropped off in time.Debbie S.

There seemed to be miscommunication between U-haul â€œheadquartersâ€, for lack of a better word, and this particular site. There was an incongruence of technological ability and therefore much was lost in translation. My start pick up time was mismanaged, as well as my equipment orders. Thankfully, it was smoothed out by both U-Haul customer service and the manager of this particular location - all involved proved very helpful, but the issue could have been entirely avoided if there wasn't a lack of cohesion between U-Haul and this location. To be clear, if it wasn't for the ready assistance of both parties, this would have been a disaster - it is just that communication issues caused the delay in the first place (and also left me with an unfulfilled order which did make our move considerably longer and more difficult).Joseph S.

What you could do is when a person has a reservation for a truck in Wadena make sure he gets a truck in Wadena. Having your plans set, and then be told 18 hours before hand that you have to drive 70 miles round trip to pick your truck up in Park Rapids is not acceptable . Then six hours later after your plans have been reset, be told that you now have to drive 140 miles round trip to Bemidji to get your truck! A person gets very frustrated. This was my first experience with U Haul and it was not positive except for Vanessa from the call center who managed to save me 40 miles of driving by going to Osakis instead of Bemidji. We very much appreciated Denise in Osakis. She went above and beyond trying to help us after being totally frustrated with U Haul. This was her first rental experience and she did a great job. We did get a $30.00 discount which was something.... but did not help 2 extra hours on the road plus the miles on our personal vehicle. The long and short of it is that I was told that my truck would be in Wadena. At no time was it mentioned that I might have to drive all over central Minnesota to find it.Bob L.
There was no clearly labeled key drop off and it was after business hours. Luckily there was a door unlocked and we put the keys on the counter but not sure that was the right spot. There should be a key drop off and it should be clearly labeled.Nicole D.
