There was no gas cap for the truck and customer service told me to buy it on my own and will get reimbursed. What a waste of time. Is it the customers responsibility to make sure the equipment I am paying for is complete? My rental time was extended, but I still had to pay for the mileage anyway, so it would still cost me more than my original payment. Called roadside assistance and was on hold for 20 minutes then I just couldn't wait any longer. I was told I would be given $50 off for the inconvenience but when the invoice/ receipt came in I didn't get the tiny $50 inconvenience off from my rental. Overall I had a lot of back and forth argument over the phone for 2 hours and how it's my fault I didn't check their equipment was complete and ready to be used. I will never use UHAUL again. I would never recommend uhaul to anyone who needs to rent a truck. Poor customer service and poor quality of product.

I only had the truck for three hours. When I went to return the truck a sign was posted that they had an emergency and closed before noon instead of 4:00 pm. I dropped the keys in the return slot and today I was charged a $20.00 late fee. I called the store 4 times with the phone number on my invoice and their mail message was full. I feel they owe me a $20.. refund.

The Open sign was on and blinking. However, the door was locked. We stood out front while on the phone with a separate U-Haul representative. After about 10 minutes or so, the on-site U-Haul representative walked into visible view and unlocked the door for us and other customers to enter. The representative was not helpful - even after I stated I had a reservation. It was not until I showed the confirmation e-mail, the representative began to assist us.

Overall good experience as I rent from this location often. However upon the vehicle inspection I noticed and noted that the fuel level was well below where it was marked on the contract and was actually nearly totally empty.

Terrible customer service, uninformed, bad attitude and had an upset tone with every customer. This job is easy, it requires very little since most of the customers experience is done online. Trucks were Filthy and beat up, and they changes terms constantly without informing us.

Uhaul did not have my accessories I ordered with the truck. The place was closed, had no way to get them. The door to the driver side lock was broken or jammed so I had to hold it shut the entire time I drove it. I could have sworn it was $1.59 a mile not $1.89 that is a ridiculous mileage charge.

You can mandate your franchise ownership do be professional.. Very unkind.. Was barely at job site according to there vaguely listed hours..prejudice. Was extre rude. Made us call customer service outside in freeze weather. Basically the worst experience with a rental company ever had

Staff extremely unprofessional and very unfriendly. I did the non-contact check in and was expecting to have the keys in a lockbox however they parked the van all the way across the shopping center, made me walk to the van to check it in and then made me walk all the way back to the store to pick up the key. What is the point of doing an online check-in. Then when I return the vehicle the app told me to park in a secure parking spot which I did. Then the manager who was using the stores electricity to charge his Lowrider blasting his speakers at the front of the store tells me in a rude voice and mannerism yells, “ park it where you found it.” In my opinion this was not contactless service. Both on the inception and return of the vehicle I had to go into the store and receive the keys hand to hand. Completely unprofessional and I use this service quite a bit. This store has obviously changed management because the last time I was there a few months back I had great service and five stars all the way around. Anyone looking to use the service should stay clear of this place

Sales rep did not know whether the $25.00 insurance covered the other vehicle. So, I drove off not knowing whether other cars were covered if I got in an accident. Kinda strange.

Tell people that the key drop is a hole in the door!!!!!!! Christ almighty it was like an escape room. Plus I was given a near empty tank and seats covered in cat hair and enshrouded in the smell of stale cigarette smoke. Filled up the tank used almost none of it still charged a fortune, what kind of car cartel scam are you running here?

I had no issue with the location. My biggest issue was with the return, and trying to return the Cargo Van through the App. It wouldn't let me click on the take photo option, there I could not continue. After try for 10-15 minutes I have up and just dropped off the key back through a mail slit of their location.

This location stole $30 from me based off of the fact that I "returned it w/ less fuel." I didn't. I meticulously documented the fuel level when I picked up the vehicle, and then I returned it with more fuel than when I picked it up just be to be safe. This is an unfair business practice, and even though it's just $30, it has caused me to be really upset at the U-haul company/brand.

I was dropping off at a 24 hour facility at a strip mall. Every store had a lit sign regardless of whether they were open, except for U-Haul. It took about ten minutes just to find the store location. There was no clear information about where I was supposed to leave the truck. I never received a confirmation email about the return of the truck or the condition.

don't let a customer order additional stuff that they cannot pick up. e.g. furniture blankets android mobile app: - allow us to view vehicle condition photos in full screen with zoom - fix the upload of a new vehicle condition photo: you select a photo, and then nothing happens(does not upload) and you cannot take another picture

I was overcharged by twice as much than what I was quoted even though I stayed within my mileage. A complete and utter rip off. I need to be contacted immediately for a refund. It is clear that the trucks aren't fully checked before they are handed off. The mileage wasn't kept up to date because I am being charged a huge difference than what I actually used. Worst experience

The store opened 20mins late and the owner/manager was combative when a customer asked for an extension because of the lateness. Two customers in line cancelled their reservations because of the overt lateness.

The manager was friendly, furniture pads were not included in the truck however, I was charged. I wouldn't say the cabin of the truck was clean but there wasn't trash in the cabin. I wouldn't recommend a friend but I wouldn't tell them to cancel a reservation through this location.

Truck 12v battery was weak and required jumping, even while practicing normal battery safe behaviors (not leaving doors open, lights on or making frequent short trips). Bill doesn't reflect equipment and services used. Subsequently over charged.

the person at the counter offered no help..i had arranged the pickup and he did not even want to talk to the rep on the phone to assist my situation. the man seemed hostile in nature? like he wanted to escalate the situation. Most people come to uhaul with a plan however this attendant could careless. I was off schedule because of this person.

As soon as I arrived the location the personnel was rude! since it's my first time to do mobile reservation not that I'm familiar with, since I'm used to do counter reservation in the past. He even told me “I'm not supposed to help you since you did online reservation. You should know what you are doing and just follow the steps.” Just like that telling me straight up to my face that I'm an idiot or something. That personnel should've not working on a customer service type of job.

Rented a truck 19.95 a day 99 first 100 36 miles after and my bill end up 300??? Not sure what the negative reviews were about... this was the best U-haul experience I've ever had. Quick, easy pick up and drop off. Clean van. The manager of the u-haul location was awesome to talk to and very professional. I will definitely use again if needed.

Jaime worked in the store. I returned the car with a lot of dog hair, not knowing that I had to return the truck as I rented it. Rather than charging me the cleaning fee, Jaime allowed me to take the truck, repair the cleaning and avoid the penalty. He did a GREAT Job.

The checkout process is convoluted. Notifications were turned on, but there was no instructions to use a specific browser which made the process very time consuming.

The truck has cans and wrappers in the flat bed. The location closed before the posted time, which I knew ahead of time, but the UHAUL app would not check me in. The location locator wasn't working. I waited 20+ min for customer service and they were not able to close out the transaction either. As far as I know, I am still not checked in.

Trucks were not clean. There was dirt all over the cabin and on the carpet. The employee did not do a check up on the truck before releasing it to me because there were a bunch of used equipment from the person who borrowed it previously left behind in the truck. Also the check out process was awfully bad if you have to use the website to check out. It took almost 30 minutes because when ever I tried taking a picture of where I parked or the odometer, the web application would not allow me to continue even though I had taken the picture. After about 50 tries it finally allowed me to continue so that I can finish checking out. Really need to fix the web app. Awful experience
