The owners of the facility were great. I am very satisfied with them. The pickup experience with UHaul and the phone support was an absolute nightmare. When I started the automated pickup process the prompts were horrible. I received a message that the rep was working to get my pickup approved. After an absurd wait I requested a status update. I received the exact same message. Finally I received a message with an unlock code. There was absolutely no explanation regarding where I should enter this code. I called the customer service number included in the text. I was told there should be a metal box attached to the office and I would enter my passcode there to retrieve the key. I told the support desk person that I could not get the lock to open. She said that I needed to align the top of the letters with the groove, not the center. I later learned that was also incorrect. I was attempting to follow the instructions the support desk had given me me when the facility owner asked why I was attempting to open the return key box. This was a perfectly acceptable question. I explained that I was doing what I was told on the phone by UHaul support. They explained that the lock I needed to open was on the back of the truck. Then I entered the code many time attempting to open the lock. I was told I should press down on the locking arm, lift the arm, center the lock in the hole, etc. After many attempts the lock opened. Had I not been so pressed for time I would have abounded all of my attempts and found another solution. I want to stress that the facility owners were incredibly helpful and supportive. I have absolutely no complaints with their service. The service from UHaul, however, was sufficiently bad to ensure I will never rent from you again. I would say bad service is an understatement. They entered their own mileage on the truck after asking me how many miles would I be going and I responded 10 because the destination was 5 or 10 mins away and they lied like I used $34 worth of gas when the gas hand didn't move an inch. Really a rip-off and wouldn't recommend to anyone. The process is way too long and they scam you out of money especially when you're a first time user like me.Cendi B.
