The man who rented this U-Haul did nothing but talk negatively about U-Haul. I rented a 27 foot but it was not available. Told me too bad, take it up with U-Haul. Had no mask on the entire time. Sold lottery tickets to a child while I was there. I wanted to contact U-Haul but there was a 35 to 40 minute wait. I had no other alternative but to rent it as I was moving the next day. I will NEVER recommend or rent U-Haul again. You need to screen where you keep your trucks because he deters anyone from renting them and has no professionalism what so ever. The tuck was dropped off right at 10 which was my pick up time. The Store attendant did not check the mileage nor did he check the gas. The store attendant was walking around the store without a mask on. Customers entered the premises unmasked and were served. Upon leaving with the truck I didn't notice the mileage and gas discrepancies until arriving at my location (only 2 km from the rental place) and both the mileage and km were incorrect on my rental agreement. The texts to remind me to do a truck inspection prior to leaving didn't arrive until I was almost don't with my move. Upon returning the truck I tried to discuss my concerns with the store attendant and he immediately accused me of being a liar and he swore at me. He charged me extra for gas and kept saying I couldn't be trusted because I didn't take insurance. He was a nightmare and didn't follow any Covid safety protocols.HEATHER L.

The truck was not swept from the inside before my use. There were bits of glasses (possibly from prior rentals) which cut my mother's fingers. The cabin area was tremendously dirty. Coffee stains, dust, spider webs, windshield was so dirty from the inside that it was hard to see and impossible to drive in the night. The truck drank petrol like it was severely thirsty. The reason was because the OIL change sign turned on every now and the . Ver poor maintanance of the truck. The alignment of the wheels was out of this world... I mean BAD!!Joey G.

the inside was dirty i had to clean the windows and wash the dashboard and seats and floor mats and doors . i think due to covid it should have been sanitized but was not the store operator was excellent , very helpfulJANM H.
I arrived at this location to drop off my truck and trailer. The owner of the station proceeded to tell me that I had to drop the trailer off on one side of his "yard," and to drop the truck on the other side of his property. When I was unable to back the trailer into the spot he wanted, he told me that we would have to unhook the trailer and push the trailer into position. When that was complete, I went back into the PetroCanada store. He then asked me if I was returning the 2 utility dollies and one furniture dolly and the 36 furniture pads. When I told him yes, he asked if the furniture pads were in bags of 6 pads per bag. I told him that I never received the pads in bags. He then proceeded to tell me that the pads needed to go into plastic bags that he provided me and that my daughter and I had to pack the pads into his bags. He then complained that I had changed the menu setting in the truck from miles to kilometers and he said that it took him "15 minutes to figure out how to change it back." He then mentioned that I had a number of problems on the road and that there was trailer damage. I told him that there was no trailer damage, but there had been a flat tire. He was just rude and lazy and I will not return to this location for any kind of UHaul need, provided that I ever use UHaul again.Christopher H.
Clerk was rather cold and unfriendly, try to have him improve his customer relations skills because there is another rental supplier in the same town. But other than that, everything was excellent. I have always had an excellent experience with U Haul!PAULJ C.

Attendant was not happy to be there, was abrupt and standoffish. Always left the contract to serve others first. Was very rude when finding out his license was not renewed on time, we told him during this COVID shutdown we cannot renew. He also threw our cards back to us. The attendant did come out just to check the lights and the hook up after the fact...The unit I picked up had a issue that wasn't apparent until I prepared to load mt vehicle. The last person that used it loaded the front right hand strap that's used to wrap around and secure the vehicle improperly and then tightened it up far past the point it should have went so it was nearly impossible to free it and rewind it properly. It took 2 men and about 1 1/2 hrs to free it up and fit it properly. This was after the pick up point was changed to a town 2.5 hrs away (round trip). Once I repaired the strap issue and loaded my car the unit preformed very well for the 1000 km trip. Note I made sure the straps were properly stored for the next person. You should make sure your vehicle has regular mechanical maintenance so the alternator doesn't die on your customer 3 hours after be rented. Instead of moving our items we had to d al with the truck blocking a road and I had to deal with roadside assistance in the freezing cold outside for 4 hours until it was as resolved. In the end it had to be towed away. It was an entire waste of my day and total inconvenience. Thankfully I had another vehicle with me so I wasn't alone through all this. But this is a dangerous situation to be in if your stranded someone alone in the cold. Oh and it also took me forever to get through to uhual roadside assistance being on hold. Also thanks for charging me for an additional day when I brought it back 10 minutes late, I would understand a late charge but not an entire days rental should have been charged. First it's very difficult to get through to uhaul and they dont followup. Last minute I rented the car trailer because no one could find one. Once rented and after one hour I could not load the car on the trailer as the ramps needed to be longer. I called the rental place for a refund and they refused. I would like my money back please and I'd I have to pay 10 to 20 percent charge, I'm on with that. Let me know what you can do ao I can change my opinion of uhaul. Thanksantonio B.

I had asked for the Kingsville location. I was re-directed to Leamington which I agreed to. But it cost us more money due to additional mileage. I would have thought since it was Uhaul that redirected us, we would not be charged for the mileage both ways to Leamington which was out of our way.Rolf R.
Used mask in the truck when we got in and had issues with the key in the ignition being really hard to pull out. Also a yellow warning light "tow/haul" but was told it was no problem and just to drive it. The man at this location is rude and spoke to me like a child with disrespect. He had a problem and he took it out on me. He is ot a people person and should not deal with the public. I had to wait pay while he made a sub for someone in the store. Didn't tell me there was a key deposit and could have dropped off keys earlier but he was upset even though it was setup on line. Told me drop off was at 7 am but they didn't even open till 8 am. This person made me very upset but keep cool and left after I paid but I should not have to accept that kind of behaviour from anyone. He is known for this type of behaviour, others are sharing their experiences with me about his behaviour toward them. Will not be dealing with him in the future and will steer others away from uhaul at this location.joseph J.

We were supposed to return the truck to another location, but when we got there, they told us that there was no room for another truck, and redirected us to the location we did return it to. I had a hard time understanding how they could be full when we had that particular location reserved for return. At the location we did return it to, the only hiccup was that we had to move the truck after parking it right next to, and in the same manner as, all the other U-Haul vehicles that were already there. Signage directing where U-Hauls should be left, if not in an obvious spot, would be helpful.Montanna D.
When I first googled uhaul it only showed me 1 place in leamington that had rentals. Not this location. So I booked a 26 ft truck and when I got there the guy said he had a 15 ft truck and that was it. He said if you book online that it just assumes that there are trucks at the location. THIS COULD HAVE MADE MY MOVE VERY STRESSFUL IF I WOULD HAVE ONLY HAD A 15 FT TRUCK. Fortunately he sent me to the location where I got the truck and they had 1 for me to rent. I did not like the fact that he told me that there was less than a quarter tank of gas and I had to bring it back with MORE than a quarter tank. I maybe used $15 worth of gas but I Had to put in at least $30. The brakes weren't great and there was no air conditioning.James B.

the roll-up door at the back of truck did not open easily needed extra effort to push open completely. cargo area had a smell of diesel fuel or gasoline. the rented blankets were dirty and dusty with dog hair which got onto my furniture and the store did not have a furniture dolly to rent which was critical in the move. not impressed.Ralph S.

We attempted to deliver the truck to a different location & was informed they were full needed to go to this location on Erie St N, not only did they argue about dropping it off to them, they were rude and disrespectful of receiving the truck, they proceeded to bill us for gas even though it was where it needed to be if we could have delivered to the agreed upon location. We also returned the truck a day early so Uhaul would have been able to rent out again and make double their money. Unfortunately we had to use uhaul to move long distance, but for local rental requirements suggest using a different rental company. Zero start rating.Stephen S.
Drop off cluster. U-Haul told me to drop in Kingsville and they refused it. made me drive to Leamington as there lot was to small for trailer. I called U-Haul to make sure i was not charged for location change and employee at drop off was arguing with service. I had to take more time to drive extra to drop off and then I had to mediate the employee on site and on line to get agreement that i will not be charged. What a mess. I serious think you OWE me much more then the lousey 50.00 credit. I had to sit road side i had to drive all over for poor communication and I had to interact with employees on line and onsite......Greg W.
