The truck smelled like cigarettes and I was never informed about the change of location. The truck was also filthy on the outside. Windshield was covered in bugs.

I know your company rental from the local across the street ; And the difference is immense .The service is great and the person whom we dealt with, is very friendly ; but the appearance of the place is not appealing for your company . I think Pittsburg deserve better .

The truck was soaking wet. We were moving boxes to a new home. Had to get blankets to dry it out. The water was literally two” deep at front of truck. Upon returning the man was so rude it was horrible! We returned it one day early. I asked him if I would receive credit..he said watch your credit card statement. We picked truck up parked in driveway. At end of day we drove to see if there were drop off instructions on door (6:15 pm) He came out rudely and said “put truck where you found it not in middle of the street!) it was exactly where we found it! He grabbed keys, jumped in truck and flew to back of parking lot. Customer service needs improvement.

The man at the desk was very helpful. I allowed showed up 10 minutes after 4pm and Hendrick let me return the van. I didn't give excellent for the location just because of the location, not the business.

I have never recieved worse customer service in my life. I used the online checkout process and reserved my van a few days in advance. I arrived at the lot, completed my checkout, and was informed that my keys were waiting inside, rather than in a drop box. The instructions told me to show the confirmation to the employee and they would give me the key. Instead of being given a key I was met with an "I don't know what that is" and proceeded to be harassed over the online checkout system. He actually threatened to cancel my reservation a few times before finally giving me the keys. Upon getting into the van I noticed 2 big problems, first, the van was absolutely filthy; I'm talking trash shoved into the doors, cereal covering the floor underneath both seats, the works. Second, I had a hand cart in the back of the van that I had not ordered or paid for. I spoke with customer services, returned the hand cart to the lobby, then went on my way thinking that was the worst of it. It was not, upon returning my rental I discovered that I was being charged for gas that was not in the van when I picked it up, and 40+ extra miles I had not driven. Clearly I am being charged for what the last person did. Worst of all, my $20 per day rental had SOMEHOW become $100 per day sometime between me picking the vehicle up and dropping it off. What started as a simple $35 rental became a $200 nightmare that I am still trying to deal with. It is obvious that not only does this location refuse to participate in the online checkout system, but they also do not properly check in vehicles which can lead to you getting charged for someone elses usage. The best thing Uhaul could do is end their contract with this location.

The truck I rented had disgusting old sticky food on the floor in the bed of trailer part of the truck. There was even old chicken bones in it. I didn’t even want to set my furniture down in it. When we brought the truck back and told the guy about it he just shrugged his shoulders and threw his hands in the air. Note to others-obviously check for any outside damage to the truck and the level of gas in it before driving off but don’t forget to check the actual cargo area of the truck as well.

I was very please with the customer service of Jason, and the fast and timely service which he provided. I was able to come pick up the van on time, and it was ready for me. I was in and out with time to use the van and come back by noon. Thanks Jason!

Due to the close proximity of a BART station I could not find a parking place on the streets surrounding the uhaul contractor. In addition, the uhaul contractor did not have any parking to offer me on their private property. I had to take my chances of not getting towed by parking in the lot of a nearby strip mall. Nevertheless, everything went well and my car was where I left it at the end of the day. The attendant at the uhaul contractor's office was knowledgeable,helpful,and friendly.

will share a letter i wrote to Tim Kris the area manager: Mr. Kris, thank you for your understanding. I am assuming you have the details of the struggles we had with the rental, but if not, I will explain further. We were indeed charged (I want to say blackmailed, but that is a little harsh), for the key being locked in. I have attached the $45 receipt. How will you get that back to us? Is a digital method possible, i.e. Zelle, paypal, credit card refund? Let me know. Here are some minor issues with the vehicle we noted: 1. Check engine light remained on 2. There was a perpetual message to “Check fuel cap”. We tried to re-seat the cap numerous times. 3. Passenger airbag light didn’t seem to work. Hopefully it was just the light and not the airbag. 4. Air Conditioner didn’t seem to work. 5. The grip handle on the right side of liftgate was broken. We rented online and the UHaul website offered us the 24 self-check-in/rent option, which we used. It turns out the Bliss Ave Pittsburg address does not offer this service, so perhaps the website should be updated NOT to offer it. Luckily for us, we called ahead the day before to check on things and the gentleman who we spoke with was rude about the 24 self-rent. If a future customer does not call to check, they will not be able to get their truck. He said he never heard of the mobile rent and has not looked at the website. He said we could arrive at our rental time (1 hour before they opened) and use our phones, but we would still need to sit there for an hour and wait for him. He made us feel stupid for not “knowing” that he did not participate in the 24-mobile rent, and we just had to give in and accept his demeaning attitude in order to not lose our rental. I felt bullied. When he blackmailed me to get the keys from the truck there was another UHaul customer waiting who observed our interaction. She looked at me while he was turned and mouthed the word “asshole”, so I was not misreading the situation. We sat there in the gravel parking lot for over an hour trying to get UHaul customer service and roadside assistance to help us. They said since we had already closed the contract via the UHaul app that they could not assist. We were encouraged the entire way to use said app, which made things worse in the end. John Foley

The rep in the office had excellent customer service. He was knowledgeable and friendly. The service was pleasant and professional. That being said, my only negative comment is the actual "office intake area" was dirty and uninviting. It is a dark little box with only enough room for 2-3 people at a time; we had to keep the door open to get light in the closet sized room. Please spend a little money to clean up your office to raise the hospitality level to U-Haul's standards. Thank you!

I had a terrible experience with this location I was charged for 22 more miles than I drove. The agent told me I was to take pictures of the miles before and after to prove what I drove. This is a horrible and terrible experience. He had me drop the key in the drop box for arriving 10 minutes late and then over charged me. HORRIBLE. THIS SITE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN FOR FRAUD.

the gentleman was nice, other than that the entire process and handling of my rental was the worst ever over 2 and a half hours on the phone dealing with confusion and drop off locations, gas situations multible errors on your end, supposed to get a fifty dollar credit from corporate I doubt I see it how you stay in biz is beyond me always been happy before Horrible experience

The location seemed very unsafe, muddy with a swamp. the truck was also dirty and it had no gas. there wasn't a lot of help by anyone at the location and a simple pick up took over minutes to complete. this was really frustrating.

I was disappointed because the person duty was 20 minutes late. The truck was parked in mud it took me five minutes to get out. Was tld to check the gas meter and make sure it was 3/4 full. Because I was running late I looked at a gage and saw it was almost 3/4 full. Thought it was close enough. Come to find out I was looking at the wrong gage because the truck was plumb empty. I guess that place has a problem with people siphoning gas late nights. It cost 95.00 in fuel When I only drove the darn thing 45 miles. Wont rent from there again. That place should not allowed to rent uhaul vehicles.
