The online checkin process was terrible- the multiple verification steps were difficult and did not work well. I was very frustrated with checking in. The store even had problems with the app and had to call. The employees were wonderful and kind, but the uhaul checkin was a problem.Sarah H.

I reserved a 20 foot truck weeks earlier. When I arrived to pick it up there was NO 20 foot truck. Only a 10 foot truck which I had to use. This incrdible inconvenience has cost me additional money because I hired help and we had to make several trips with this much smaller truck. Will not recommend that location to anyone!!!Jurgen R.

The manager at the Fort Atkinson U haul store is a jerk and doesn't know what he's doing. After trying to deal with him I went to the Piggly Wiggly in Jefferson and had a very good experience with a rental. they did a good job.Don Y.

Let me be very clear........The good people at the Jefferson Piggly Wiggly where I picked up the truck were great!! They were friendly and professional. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about U-Haul as a company. U-Haul did not treat the young woman at the Piggly Wiggly very well when she called asking for help with my order. She called Russ Greengo, the U-Haul area field manager. He has a sign at the store that says "I Can Help You" but I guess he was too busy to help. After making my initial call to reserve a truck, I kept calling back every few days to make sure everything was ok as I just had a gut feeling it wasn't right. My gut was spot on. Every time I called, I got the run around and was told something different every time. I was told my truck was not guaranteed, but I had a confirmation from them saying it was guaranteed. They told me I had to pick up in one town, but my confirmation said another town. I was quoted a different price every time I called that was different than my confirmation. It was a total NIGHTMARE. It was the absolute worst experience ever. I was overcharged by over $100 and then they nickle and dimed me by charging me for going over 6 miles (a whopping $2.40) when I left over a 1/4 extra gas in the vehicle and not to mention the total pain it was leading up to and the day of the rental!!! U-Haul really needed that extra $2.40 on top of the extra $100 I was overcharged. The U-Haul customer services is terrible so if you rent from them, be prepared to get ripped off and to be on hold forever if you have to call them.Shawn L.

I was very disappointed with my U-Haul experience. I had made a reservation for a 10ft truck at the Watertown, WI location and there was no one there to assist me. The Location had a message on the door to call someone if I needed help but they never picked up. After waiting on hold with UHaul I was directed to someone that informed me there was no 10ft truck available at this location, even thought I made a reservation. To get a vehicle that day I had to go 11miles to get a 15ft truck. The representative on the phone and second location staff were kind and helpful but I'm really disappointed with the whole experienceAnastasiya K.
Rented a trailer for a period of 6 hours on 7/2/21. Upon receiving the emailed return receipt o 7/3/21 I was unpleasantly surprised to find I was charged with a 48 hour rental. The trailer worked out well but the financial aspect/hassle and time to follow up and rectify the situation is a real fun sucker.james S.

Have the equipment that they reserved and not say sorry there's no guarantee you can get what you ordered and reserved. Our move was awful as a result of the missing appliance dolly and much more dangerous. It took many more people and twice as much time. the check engine light was on, i checked the fluids, fluids were fine, oil pressure was fine, water temp was fine, battery was fine, so i pressed on keeping close eye on everything, recommending a friend; i put yes but that's only if that was the only place that a truck, that's what happened to me, my local guy had nothing. we survived, thank you..Mark S.

We were supposed to get a uhaul in lake mills at 9am on Saturday September 26th. The people who had it before us were supposed to drop it off at 8am and they did not. They didn't have another uhaul for us and we had to go to a different location to get a smaller uhaul and had to make multiple trips due to this. To improve, their needs to be a strict return policy of the uhaul because we were waiting on someone that never showed or answered their phones. I hope you charged them a lot of money for this inconvenience. There should be a plan B for this situation and not sending us to another location for a smaller truck.Naomi E.

Of all the Uhaul locations we have gone Recently since my truck is having issues, this place tops the rest by FAR!!!! Will definitely use this location in the future! Staff were GREAT! Location was clean and convenient! And accessibility so uncomplicated compared to Oconomowoc, Fort Atkinson, and Watertown! They had 2 customers waiting for truck pick up and no one on duty was aware of that and also no one working knew how to work a U-HAUL transaction. They got in touch with a person that handles those transactions and said it would be 10 minutes before she could get in. While waiting for the person to arrive the other employees were complaining that none of them wanted to learn how to do this job and had predicted that only a couple people knowing what to do was bad for the customers.I was put off by the poor handling of my experience and started out about 20 minutes later than I expected.I know the other customer was upset at the delay and poor customer service as well.I doubt that I would use them again after this experience.DOUGLAS A.

I went on line to book trailer well ahead of scheduled rental. Web site would not let me return trailer to original site, a notice popped up saying return site could be entered at time of pick up. Really? After a call from U-Haul manager reminding me of rental for Friday, I took his advise and preregister and pay on line. It still took over 30 minutes to get trailer, employee at location had to call her boss for procedures. Once returned, I was met with a notice from location that trailer was involved in an accident. This is not true, period. An employee did a visual to confirm. I would have thought U-Haul, for as many years of being in business would have a user friendly web site and personnel would be trained. My thoughts are wrong! The person at pick up location did everything to resolve and I know this situation is not her fault. It is a big enough head ache to move let alone the trouble of renting a U-Haul trailer. Sorry, no recommendation from me. It is not the end of the world and everything worked out but I do know, U-Haul needs to do better.william M.
