My reservations changed which added over 20 miles to my trip. I wasn't made aware of the contactless check in process. It would have been nice to know you would be needing to call references and just that it would take so much time to get the van and drop it off.

We returned the truck and was told that we needed to take to another location - although this was the correct drop off. After more wasted time on the phone getting re-routed to this location - we dropped the truck off and left the keys, folded pads and rental cart. After all the hassle at the original location and the drop off - I was charged $25 cleaning fee as there were some leaves in the back of the truck. Considering all the time that I wasted on the phone with U-Haul changing reservations - and delays due to drop off confusion - I would like a refund of at least that. The lady I spoke with at the drop off location was extremely rude and unprofessional and said the leaves were my issue unless the pick up location agreed to reimburse. I have no idea how leaves would get into the truck as we were on a driveway loading from a garage and in the street unloading into front room of house in Milwaukee

Go to a regular U-Haul place to rent a truck not a grocery store, the truck was scary to drive, you held the searing wheel straight & it pulled to the right so bad I had white knuckles. And also not looking until I pulled away the gas tank was empty.

Overall just a shitty experience from the time i picked it up to the time i tried returning it and then on top of it i was charged a different amount then what was pre authorized and no explanation of why it went up to 28.66 and then .73 cents for the extra miles like obviously i went over it was an estimate no big deal but im confused as to why it went from 27.93 to 28.66 for the total because i have a seperate charge for the .73 cents

The contract process is longer than expected for using the app. The truck was in overall good shape...with one exception... The truck had a low tire warning light on when I entered it. Some of the toggles and navigation on the app are redundant... not clear or confusing. When I called to let them know about the warning light, it was like, 'Yeah, do you want to go fill it up or have road service come?' When you're paying $50++ dollars for a '$19.95' (!!) rental, you might give phone support some latitude on deducting a reasonable amount for inconveniences like this. The other option was to drop that reservation and start the (root canal) process all over again! Pretty creative phone support...not. Overall it is cool to be able to rent a vehicle w/o having to have anyone stand there, but the technology could be streamlined, hopefully.

Worst! Was told the store was closed and had to use online check in. Store was open, so this was just to not have to hire a person to check the trucks in and out. Had to walk between trucks on one side of the lot and the building where the key boxes were on the other side of the lot several times to pick-up and drop off. This is not good for a person who has trouble walking, shuch as myself. GPS settings should not be so tight that when standing next the truck it says you are not at the proper location! What a horrible way to treat customers just so they don't have to hire a person to do the check in and outs.

No one came out to inspect the equipment before we brought it to the location we were moving from. The lady in Piggly Wiggly said that the Dolly and the furniture pads had a seal on them but when we opened the back of the uhaul the furniture pads were all falling out the bag and the bag was open and the Dolly was also loose in the truck. The padlock to the Uhaul was broken so when we returned the uhaul we were unable to lock the back of the uhaul truck.

The check-in process was terrible. The website failed at least four times, and to pick up where you left off you are required to navigation through at least three different advertisements which try to sell you additional insurance, movers, and storage. Once I was finally able to enter my information, I then had to wait around in a grocery store parking lot for a remote customer service agent to confirm my identify. You cannot reach them anyway other than an online chat. This person finally "validated" my identity by phoning a friend, when I was informed I needed a second person to be called (or I could drive home to get my passport, or I could have them call my employer). Its 5:00 pm, every normal person is commuting home and workplaces are closed. I had to find a friend who wasn't busy and could sit and wait by their phone for U-haul to call them. This was after I already uploaded a copy of my driver's license and credit card. What exactly does phoning a friend do? And if this is something that is so necessary, why would you not give any indication that this is what's needed prior to arrival? Such a waste of time. After I was finally validated and could pick up the key, the website crashed again and I wasn't able to complete the rest of the check-in process.

Returning a truck to UHaul has gotten so complicated; the last truck I dropped off was so much easier we literally locked the door and put the key in a drop box. Now we had to go into an app, take pictures, download them to you, fill out a questionnaire aire all before we could take off and go. Very confusing compared to original way.

Maybe have a sign with the barcode by the trucks so when the website location doesn't work you don't have to keep going back and forth in the parking lot when the website won't accept images and kicks you out making you have to go Svan the barcode again

You added an extra step via the app that wasn't in the video where they wanted a copy of a passport or two references and their phone numbers to call. It was frustrating as we were in a hurry and had to wait for verification. After reading the agreements you had to "x" out after reading. If you backspaced instead it went to the begining and you had to start all over with the check in process.

I had problems when picking up the truck. I had to get the stores manager to help me and he was less than thrilled that I needed help. I wanted to speak to someone at U-Haul about the issue and there was a 40 minute wait time on the phone. Even though I stopped in a day before to confirm the rental, U-Haul insisted on a second person to verify me. My Spouse was still sleeping and doesn't answer the phone when he is sleeping. The other methods of verification were impossible as all the items were already packed away. That part of your system needs to be improved on.

Checking in to get my vehicle was a nightmare. My license see had a crack in it so so the barcode could not be read. I tried setting my wife as a 2nd driver and they had to call a 3rd party to verify her.. verifying took forever . It was a waste of 45 minutes..

The people at my drop off were assholes in Crystal Fall, Mi. They were bitching that I didn't have my paperwork. They tried to lie, and say I owed them fuel when I put more than enough in. When I started to dial my pick up point they found the correct account. My pick up point in Oak Creek were awesome though.

Online order must be confirmed with the location. I ordered 2 Dollies and was charged for them. The location had no dollies only the type for refrigerators. The location stated they do not see the part of the order requesting dollies. At least that is what I was told. I am still awaiting reimbursement for the charges.

Last minute we were told we had to change the pick up location. We should have been told earlier as this changed many of our plans. It was much further away than original location. Also, We did not receive the 2 Utility Dollies or the 2 dozen furniture blankets that we ordered. When I called customer service the best they could do was make up go pick out up in A COMPLETELY different location and again, very far from our home. We never were able to get the items and have not been refunded! I called Customer service again and they told me when we return the truck we could talk to someone to get Refund but it was just a drop off, so there was no one to talk to. I'm very frustrated.
