Alissa, the young women who performed the initial rental paperwork was fine but her uncle, Jim Chandler, merited several unprintable names for his lack of friendly, quick, accurate service with me. He was demanding, belligerent and made errors in giving me the wrong receipt. My husband was more forgiving, saying the guy was the only one there and too busy to be courteous but it was me that rented the van, not him. Jim said he wasn't a Uhaul EE and couldn't answer questions but barked demands of me and treated me as if I were deaf and dumb. He serviced people who arrived after me before he completed my paperwork and gave me the wrong paperwork. The rental van was basically clean but I cleaned out papers and dirty napkins from former renter. I also found the paperwork for the former owner, Thomas McCormick, that Jim tried to foist off on me. I can't believe Alissa and this jerk are related - must be by marriage only! Uhaul offers great equipment and a good price but this guy is a 5-star jerk! After he gave me the wrong paperwork, he tried to excuse it as a printer error. If it wasn't for the new van, which I loved using (yes, Jim, I drove it and got gas for it!), I would never use Uhaul again! Otherwise, I'd recommend renting only if Alissa is working the desk, not Jim or using another location.

Provide more detail instructions regarding pickup process when using phone pick up. I was not aware that the software does not respond until actual pick up time.

Truck was clean inside the cab and storage area. It was an older truck and had obvious external signs of wear but did the job

I didn’t get the truck I reserved and had to pay an additional $70 for mileage that I was suppose to get covered by Uhaul! I had to make 3 trips at 85 miles each way and was in traffic for over 11 hours due to having a 10 footer rather than the 20 footer I reserved! This is ridiculous and I will never use Uhaul again!

One person staffing the convenience store counter and the U-Haul rental counter. We had to wait for the staff person to sell gasoline, lottery tickets. alcohol; and food items prior to completing our rental agreement process. When we arrived the 15 ft truck we had reserved and paid for in advance was not available and we rented a smaller truck.

The problem with the Airway Blvd location is that the parking is horrible because it shares the lot with a gas station and also the entrance and exit for a trailer park. I couldn't figure out where to leave the truck.

Upon dropping off truck, was informed that my initial quote was way off, I was told I had the truck for 24 hours, but was charged for an extra day, even though we dropped it off within the first 24 hours. I will be disputing the extra $110 and will be sure to remind my friends that there are other companies to use besides this rip off organization. I will never use uhaul again.

Previous renter had not swept the cargo cab, otherwise the truck was fine. Proprietor was very nice and very quick getting me out and returned. I will rent here again. Handy having gas right there for the return.

The other company I reserved with changed to Hayward on the morning I needed the van! UHaul was cheaper, closer, and available!!!

The rented truck van inside is dirty. The exterior is dirty as well plus windshield and side mirror. I asked the attendant a paper towel for me to clean. It seems they don't care or they don't bother at all but for this experience I will attempt to rent again on that location. I have proofs to show which I took some pictures.
