Great communication via telephone that kept me updated on my reservation and possible equipment shortages. I ended up having to pick up a truck from a different location but was informed a week before of this possibility which reduced stress. I was also able to return the truck to a closer location that was not listed on the website when I made my reservation. The agent at the 4370 Palm Ave San Diego, California location provided exceptional customer service not only to me but the other customers waiting at the Postal Annex. I love UHaul, especially the staff at the San Rafael, California location, as I have been a customer of their’s three times in the past 6 months. Also, many thanks for having moving companies listed on your website. This is a great addition. I have used the service once and it was a wonderful experience.

I was disappointed to be charged a $13.27 fuel charge as I put $80 in and checked the gage and saw it wasn't quite full so I put an additional $10 in and the gage went all the way full. However on my receipt they showed the gage as just under full and charged me. Not fair in my opinion and no way the gage could have moved that much from full as the gas station (Arco) was less that a quarter mile away!!! I feel I should actually be refunded this fee..

Ruben LopezMy reservation was moved from my original location so we had to drive to another location. The check in process for mobile pick up is ridiculously long and cannot even be started until you park next to the truck. After taking the required selfie, picture of the front and back of my license and submitting emergency contact information, I still had to submit what I thought would only be two references who were then called to verify I am a reliable human….but that wasn’t even enough for some unknown reason that even the customer service rep on the phone couldn’t explain, so I had to add a third reference, wait for that person to be called so they could verify me and then continue with the rest of the check in. By this time I had lost an hour of my reservation time and when we finally got into the truck, old water bottles and trash were in there, and it smelled of urine. This was a terrible experience and I am requesting a refund.

SCOT WHALEYThis location did an absolutely phenomenal job taking care of me. Uhaul was absolutely terrible at handling my reservation. I requested a truck that was only 2 Miles from my home. My reservation was bounced all over to various locations with any regard to what needs I had. I requested a 5am pickup an appliance dolly and a truck with a ramp. My reservation was first moved due to equipment not being available but I never got a call telling me that would happen. Instead I got a call informing it had been done and that my requested pickup time wasn’t an option. I asked to be moved to a location that would be able to offer that. I was told none were available. I made adjustments to my schedule which caused a huge mess because of the distance to get to the new location. The woman who took care of me at the postal annex was outstanding. She did her very best to accommodate my needs but we had no ramp and no appliance dolly. Additionally we were on the hook for the mileage to the now further away uhaul. The truck broke down on us at one point and wouldn’t start. A few hours later it finally did but the check engine light remained illuminated. Oh I forgot to mention my reservation was listed on the wrong date when postal annex pulled it up. I loved the postal annex and how well the tried. The store was clean and inviting and the worker had a great attitude. Everything else Uhaul failed at as a whole.
