No winter tires and no winter wipers. Far drive to pick up location, nothing local. brought back the vehicle and would have to wait a minimum of 1 month to rent something similar. VERY dissapointedFrancois S.

Old hotel that's mostly closed . No drop box for uhaul had to have truck there for 8am looked around for half hour for box then called the number of the hotel maintenance guy he said uhaul don't open till 9. When I advised I had a ride here from out of town he ended up showing up but the 45 minutes of wondering where the drop boxes and having nothing to do there was not fun for me or the person who drop me off I had asked for Chelmsford which was right down the street from my new house that would've been a great drop offTracy L.
Although I was not very happy with Uhaul itself. First they downsized my truck and then to my surprise they changed my pickup and drop off location on me.Robert B.
This location wasn't the actual issue..the staff at either location in Conventry and Gatineau were meh...but my experience with Uhaul overall was terrible. They didn't complete my reservation properly and then sent me and my husband on a wild chase for 2 hours to find a truck that we reserved a month in advance. When we returned the truck at our final destination the employees were great but U-Haul themselves were terrible to attempt to contact even with employee support. U-Haul is a scam, rude and untrustworthy company and I will not be recommending your services to anyone..ever.LAURENEMMA M.
Whenever you book always check off 24 hours or else you get charged for a second day even if you're a half hour over the time you said you'd need it for..live and learn...Leanne P.

Be honest about the mileage/kilometer prices. I feel I have been ripped off with the unreasonable charges I was forced to pay and Never again will I use your services. Furthermore, anyone who asks me where to rent a truck for long haul or short term moving rental, be assured it WILL NOT be U HUAL that gets my recommendation, just the opposite to be perfectly honest with you. Our pickup was scheduled for 8am. We arrived 8am sharp to find out that location doesn't open until 9am. Main U-Haul indicated it should be a 24/7 location. Due to confusing with renting guest before us we did not get our rental until 10:15am only to discover it did not come with the light pigtail required so we had to go purchase one. This put us hours behind, missing out booked time for elevator at moving location. As we had to travel 3 hours to new location it was too late to return same day. We returned at 2pm next day and was charged a 2nd day rental. Next I booked 10 pad and a furniture dolly. My updated booking (which I never modified) was now showing 10 pads + 5 pads + 3 pads, plus a dolly and cart. I only took what I originally asked for however final bill was charged for all items. I've rented for U-Haul multiple times however this may be the last and definitely not from this location again. Desk attendant was very pleasant and apologetic. His supervisor who he rang to help showed up in her pajamas and was very curt and less accommodating. I suspect she resides at the hotel where this U-Haul location is located and she was walking back and forth to her office/room. At least be dressed when trying to calm frustrated renters.Shawn W.
They had a good parking lot, lots of room to turn the trailer around, when i entered i told them im here to return my trailer, and handed the receptionist my receipt. She looked at my receipt and said there was an additional fee for dropping the trailer off there. I paid for a one way so it should not matter were i drop it off. It was an argument and she made lots of phone calls, it was unpleasant. The other issue i had, i wanted to rent the trailer for one day, they told me because its a one way i need to take it for two days to insure i had enough time, i also asked to drop it off at the nearest location 3 times, then when i picked up the trailer the drop off location was a 45 min drive from my house, instead of the location 20 mins from me. Anyways overall not a very good experience.JASON M W.
Give the staff some training in how to do rentals.. make sure equipment is out of the snow before pick up and straps and ratchets are functioning properly.. poor serviceSteve R.
The manager/worker had no clue of the rental even when i called twice prior to the pick up. My husband basically had to do the paperwork for her. He even had to go behind the desk to clarify issues. They were also not wearing masks and were very hard to understand. I also dont understand why when we arrived to pick up the trailer something on the computer came up about a rental in 2009 but never did when booking the trailer on the telephone. This time... our experience was not at all the service we usually have received in the past. Very disappointed!Angele M.
Waited over an hour for the my paperwork, due to slow network or computer, and the lady told me 3 times I was getting a receiver for my truck to pull the trailer. But they don't have them, she didn't understand English well enough. other than that trailer work well. thanksdenis V.

Have someone who can speak proper English would be a start, have someone who can operate a computer would also be handy, someone who can take care of a reservation within less than an hour (very generous) This location had no clue what they were doing and it took over an hour and a half to get my vehicle which was already not what I had reserved.SYLVAIN M.
Business needs an updated computer system as it takes over an hour to complete paper work. Nobody takes care of the equipment as one lock for the sliding ramps was not working properly and kept sliding out. Manager at the end was most helpful but still took way too long to complete paperwork.RICHARD L.

I would strongly recommend UHAUL cancel their contract with this location. Not only did the agent refuse to get up and inspect the vehicle, they sent me all the way across the lot TWICE to photograph the mileage and gas level. They then told me they couldn't close the account while I was there waiting which I now believe to be a false pretense to bill my credit card $104.72 + HST for a fill-up charge (I assume he gets to pocket this money) while the gas was at the exact level of pick-up. Clearly a very untrustworthy place - Sudbury people - AVOID THE RED CARPET INN in LIVELY if you don't want to get ripped off and called 'Sweetie' by a misogynistic thief!BARBARA R.

Your central business and the pick-up location appear to run a scam whereby you can each point the finger/lay blame on the other one. The truck I had ordered some ten days previous ...had been mysteriously ordered to Southern Ontario just the day before I was to pick it up. The replacement(smaller truck) I was the offered was out for repairs...and the next one was locked...and so again I waited while the combination was found. We are now at least an hour behind schedule as these unanticipated "glitches " are resolved. Then my packing blankets have to be found ...and the lack of the pre-ordered moving dolly has to be addressed. More time spent picking up what I've contracted for ...rather than actually moving. When I finally got the vehicle and arrived at the moving location...upon closer inspection...I had to clean up the interior to make it suitable to transport items. Apparently you don't follow your own policies...there is a $25 dollar extra charge for returning the van if it hasn't been cleaned out. SO WHICH IS IT....do you not bother with that charge ...or do you take the money ...and not bother to then clean the damned van? I was forced to engage an extra vehicle(not from you) to deal with the shortcomings. I also managed to get more help. When I returned your van the gentleman behind the desk (same person as in the morning) was more amenable to listening than in the morning and tried to be more helpful. But it had all made for a very stressful move. I would rank your service as ABYSMAL ...and would never recommend it to anyone...not even an enemy!Edward G.

The lady filling out the paperwork kept complaining about the computer. I had booked it for 10:00 am and didn't get out of there until 11:30. Not acceptable.cathy Y.
The service was awful, we waited for over an hour to obtain our rental truck. The customer service agent could not work her computer properly and had to have a customer help her. We also were not informed of all the costs involved in the rental so were left to pay a bill higher than expected. Suffice is to say we will not be renting from uhaul again.MICHEL C.
If you are doing online uhaul rental you can not get a short notice rental because they state that they/representative will get back to you after going through the application/rental/payment within 24 hrs.So if someone needs a quick rental item you have to call it in & talk to uhaul Rep to find item & which location will have one available. It should be visable & stating this fact on uhaul site so applicants won't waste time going through rental process online.Better to use the phone service.which I did & the Rep found what I needed/pickup location quickly with no waiting time. Picked up needed trailer & on the road within 2 hrs.DEL V.

Very poor customer service in trafficking. The woman at the Red Carpet was kind and patient however she was given the run around in trafficking being sent to every province for assistance beside Ontario. Our pick up time was 8 am and didn't get to leave the depot until after 10 am. We had packers hired for 8:30 am and they had to wait over 1.5 hours at our cost.. very upsetting and costly. I've used uhaul before and have to use it again on June 1st and am apprehensive to do solewis L.

I had 30 furniture pads ordered and the didn't have ready for me. I had to find another location to take my pads. The auto transporter was buried in snow and with ice all over it. Next time would be good if all equipment are ready by the scheduled time.Felipe T.

I had reserved my Uhaul rental several days prior to when it was needed over the phone with the headquarters in Brampton. Upon arrival to the Lively location NONE of my paper work was there. Everything needed to be done again. This was very disappointing and time consuming.SARA Y.

Have a truck in the location requested. If not possible, perhaps a location that isn't 150km away from the move site. It was extremely inconvinient and extremely unprofessional to let me know only 2 days before our move date.JULIA G.

Try harder. The representative was terribly disorganized and the manager even more so. My print out was unreadable (Printer wasn't working) and I was charged for fuel when despite fueling up upon return. Further, I've been assured that a district UHaul rep will call me back within 24 hours (at least two times since Oct 3 and no call), so I have no recourse for questioning the bill. This was the worst experience of customer service that I've had.STEWART K.
This location represents uhaul. And the staff here is a joke. I walked in and asked for the rates of a cargo trailer or the small 15' truck they had on the lot. She pulled some random nbers out of her hat and continued to eat her pizza and chat with a friend, while I had said that I would go with the truck and stood at the front desk counter, took out my drivers license and credit card. When she was done chatting up her friend, and 10 mins later - she asks again if I need help. I said yes I would like to rent the truck for the day. Oh I'm sorry she said I thought you just wanted pricing. If I wanted pricing I would have left after? Then on to the actual rental. She said that she had done one for the truck just the day before, but she started to get frustrated with the system and called the uhaul help line. We had to give her all the info and go out side and check the truck for her, for the id. She didn't conform the mileage, she said that she could go off of yesterday's? I received no paperwork and I have no idea what using the truck for a good 11 hours costed me? I could have reserved everything online and just picked up. i lived in Hanmer, Ont.at the time so the pick up location was not good for me. I used about an extra 50 to 100 kms just getting it back to my place, so the rate per kms should be reduced for customers who have to go out of their way, like this.iDAN D.

My reservation was to pick up in Timmins - 300 km north of this location. For whatever reason, there was no truck for me at my per-arranged pickup location. This added an immense amount of stress and an additional 8hours of driving to an already long trip. The truck air conditioner was broken - 3 day cross country drive with no AC was incredibly unpleasant. Overall I had a terrible Uhaul experience.NICOLE G.
