After renting the vehicle trailer we were not helped to hook up the trailer and no check of the equipment had been done. After we had hooked up the trailer I did a final walk around only to find that the tire on the passenger side was flat and had 2 nails in it. After informing the associate of this he then spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how to fix it. I took it upon myself to call U-Haul road side assistance as the associate could not figure it out. I was told I would have to wait 45 minutes but after an hour I called back as no one had arrived only to be told by 3 different people over 3 different calls (over a 45 minute period) that they couldn’t get ahold of the service tech and one stating that the tech had a medical emergency and had to cancel. After all that and now nearly at 2 hours waiting I was told that they would have to send out another service tech and it would be a minimum of 60 minutes before there. By the time the tech had shown up and repaired the tire I had lost the vehicle I had driven over 2 hours to pick up due to not being able to be there when scheduled and the seller sold it to the next person. To make matters worse all while I waited nearly 3 hours to be able to use the trailer I rented, upon leaving and going down the street there was another U-Haul location with 3 car trailers sitting unused. I’m very unhappy at the customer service that I recieved and extremely unhappy that I had lost the vehicle due to not being there on time due to someone not properly checking in equipment. I may not use U-Haul again in the future even though I have rented from you for over the last 10 years without issue. Definitely would never rent from that location ever again.

Took a long time again to check in to return the keys and was charged 6.19 for some strange reason and it was returned the day before it was due

They were very unorganized and it took me 15 minutes for them to understand it was a drop off and then they said I had to pay another $20 even though we had paid in full at Navarre for 4 days and we dropped it off after only 2 days. I am still awaiting a response from U-Haul customer service about my request for a refund of the $20.

I made a reservation for 1:00p at 11:00 am. When I picked up the truck it was marked as an 11:01 am rental that had to be returned at 10:55 am 2 days later. Truck was shown with gas at 15/16 full when it was less than 7/8. In this truck 1/16 of a tank was over 4 gallons. Mileage was fro point to point. It cost me $26 to return the truck to Uhaul 25 miles away.

1) The Mileage on the truck at the time of my rentage was 135,565 and not 135,564 as indicated on your receipt. Mileage at the time of return was however, 135,571, which brings mileage used to 6, and not 7. This would mean mileage charge at the rate of $1.09/mile is $1.09×6= $6.54, as opposed to $7.63 indicated on your invoice. 2) Gas level at the time of rentage was exactly half tank, and returned same. Please note that I called the attention of the store associates to these discrepancies on the contract document, insisting they come with me to the truck to verify same, and I was assured it would be taken care of. In conclusion, I made a deposit payment of $40.05, so if rental is at the rate of $29.95, my mileage charge is $6.54 (as indicated above), Tax is $3.86, and Environmental Fee is $1, then my total bill should be $41.35, which leaves me indebted to you by $1.30 Only. I would like to let you know that this after-rent issues are becoming reoccurring with your company and is discouraging me from wanting to patronize you again in the future. Attached with this mail are pictures taken both at the point of rentage and return for you to verify the mileage and gas level, and I hope I have made your job easier for you with this detailed email. Kindly reconcile your discrepancies and revert.

Make sure the trucks have the right amount of gas in them. Ours was on empty when we picked it up.

Was not the original place we had picked to drop-off the U-Haul online, and was changed by U-Haul. Could not find the place because it is actually in the gas station. We get inside and were asked to move the truck and take photos of mileage and gas levels. We do that and return inside and were told we then needed to bring the blankets inside, when we picked it up we were told to leave them folded in the trailer. Went back out again, brought them inside and were told we had to take them around to the back of the station, my husband said no and left them with the gentleman. The girl checking us in would not match fuel level with the slider on her iPad with our picture and we had to pay for not bringing it back with correct amount of fuel.

Someone is a thief. I was told when I picked this truck up that they put in the notes that I would be about 2 hours late turning in and there should not be a charge. I relayed this to the gentleman when I dropped it off and now I see on the receipt that I was charge a $20 after hours fee, I dropped it off at approximately 12:30pm! Somebody owes me $20! Who is the thief, the pick up point, the drop off point or U-Haul?!

Returned truck with 1/4 tank of fuel just as instructed by pickup location, took photo of gauge and still the young woman charged me $46.00 fuel surge charge!! Thats bulls#!t! I even re-engaged her after getting the receipt and I noticed the charge, and she nonchalantly said "sorry, thats what I saw on the fuel gauge", as if it wasn't a concern for her at all. I returned it at 356 miles, well under the 418 mileage allotment also. What a complete ruse! Come on U-Haul, vet your people better or at least hire honest people who dont feel the need to screw the public!!!
