Building was disgusting. Very dirty and trashy. There were signs posted everywhere to wear a mask. The lady who worked for uhaul had NO mask on. We're in a pandemic and you expect everyone to wear one but you're not. The uhaul was dirty.

The attendant was rude...taking a personal phone call in the middle of my transaction. Very unprofessional. The driver's seat in the truck I was given was stuck in one position...as far back as it would go...the lever to move it forward was broken. I immediately went back to the office and the attendant had locked the door and wouldn't answer. I had to put a stack of moving blankets behind me to drive. When I returned the truck at 4:30 pm...the attendant was flying out of the parking lot in her car and nearly hit me.

No one was working so we had to drop the keys in a box. I was able to contact a person to instruct us to do so. At least that was helpful. It was odd leaving the truck and putting the keys in a drop box.

The gentleman running the place stated he was physically unable to help with the trailer. As I backed my car up, he picked up the trailer bringing it closer to the car. Hit out bumper, scratched our car, then told me I backed into the trailer. Who in their right mind picks up a trailer and brings it towards the vehicle when they are supposed to be directing the person backing up? In addition the location is terrible, dirty, and unsafe.

Fix the after hours check in system. Location services with the web page would not work on any of the phones I tried it on. I would not like to be charged a surprise $20 for a faulty webpage on the company's part.

The customer service was awful. I sat there while she handle business that didn't pertain to the job she was getting paid for. The office was trash but this particular location was the ONLY ONE that had the size truck I needed. I paid for a piece that I didn't get until after the time I had scheduled to return the truck. I called several times and they “didn't have it” but I decided to pop up just to check and someone “had just dropped one off and she was going to Call me after she ate”. However the customer service rep joule was GREAT he helped me in so many ways! Including returning the truck because the site was down.

Have help available to get trailer set-up... tonged hitch not working properly. Expected to hook up with trailer on slope. Inside trailer was dirty. I cleaned and left it better than I found it. Overall not a good experience.

By some computer error they lost my reservation, BUT Joann switched a later reservation to make sure I got the 6x12 landscape style I needed. She was excellent! The trailer however had not been cleaned from a mulching & roofing debris job. I picked up nearly 100 roofing nails and it took me better than 1/2 hours to clean it out for a household items move. The trailer itself was excellent quality and performed flawlessly. Well worth the money.

I had to park my car at a different location because I figured it was going to get broken into when I left. The Office is ran out of a motel room. Bad area.

Unfortunately this location is in a run-down section of an old hotel that frequently houses the homeless. The individuals that operate the location also operate a taxi business. I made the mistake of taking my children inside with me. Once inside, The building wreaked of urine, there were no lights in the hallway and only sparse lighting in the office. Had I not yelled “hello” once inside the room/office, I never would've known I was in the right place. On the way out, my children remarked that they didn't want to come back with me because the place was too “creepy”. If I ever need to rent a uhaul again, under no circumstances will I be visiting this location.

This is not where the drop off was supposed to have been. However, having been refused at the first location on Valley Ave., this proprietor directed us to this location. No one was present. We called the uhaul contact number on the door of the facility and it was answered "Red's Taxi". He stated that he was busy and wouldn't be able to check us in today, and to just drop it off and he would check it in, in the next morning. We pride ourselves in returning rented items clean and undamaged. Without having this verified by a Uhaul representative, is not good, for both us and your business. Also, had we been any older that we are, we wouldn't have been able to disconnect the trailer from our vehicle. We will leave a separate feedback for the original dropoff point.

Service was fine. The agent was very efficient at managing all that was coming In to her. However the office is filthy dirty and doesn't appear to be in a very safe part of town. Next time, I will try to find a different location. It is also difficult to find. GPS sends you to some kind of trail. Maybe a note on the website that it's behind the Ramada Inn would help.

The trailer had black powered inside it I had to clean it out and lay a tarp on the floor so my furniture would not turn black.

The location was dirty and smelled badly! The only staff person there was preoccupied answering the phone for the taxi service. Key to truck was locked i Swiss back of truck, had to use combination lock to open truck, and lock wouldn't work. Had to wait long time for the 1 staff member to come outside and she still had problems getting it unlocked! No boxes or other packaging available, only boxes! Needed a TV box.

The office where I picked up my Uhaul was very unsanitary. The woman was not wearing a mask or shoes and was walking around the office. I would not rent a Uhaul from this location again.

I did not return the trailer to this location. I returned it to Clark's Muffler Shop located at 619 S. Main St. in Lexington, Va as instructed. There is awful cell service there so I could not complete the mobile check out. The owner said he would check it in in the Uhaul system.

I pulled in and saw no one. It was in an old converted Hotel. So I Parked the Truck myself. I saw a person at a door and asked were uhaul was. So had to walk up the building to the door with a small uhaul sign on it. We went in down the hallway around the corner found the office. It was a bid nasty room that had stuff piled in it like a storage area. It had a big table with chairs that I would not set it if I had a hazmat suit on. They were nasty. Finally Figured out it was also a taxi cab dispatch office. There was a smaller sub office within it of glass. A rather large lady was sitting in there on the phone with someone did not appear to be business and another phone in here hand appearing to be deleting emails. Never noticed us. Were were jingling keys and rustling around. After about 15 minutes she got off the phone I waited another few minutes. Then spoke up excuse me I have a truck to turn in. SHE NEVER MOVED EXCEPT to REACH OUT HER HAND to GET the KEYS. I had to walk to her. She said we will email you. I did not tell her may name or anything. She never moved. I felt like my skin was Crawling.

I was supposed to drop off at the Benois rd location. They WERE NOT there and told me it would be an hour. I was so very frustrated. Reid Taxi was available to take the truck and was so very helpful.

When I arrived at the location I reserved my van , nobody was available to check me in . And therefore I couldn't start my move on Time. However the customer service person was very helpful and redirected me to another Office to rent a van.

Make sure rentals available on weekends and keep extra on premises and do more one way destinations .spent 2 hours trying to find rental that Saturday 3 places booked no rentals then back to get TRAILER at 1st stop was a rental available but got rented before we could even get reserved on it just standing waiting mostly but finally one came available at Reid taxi but mostly just running place to place to find rentals

Honestly the customer service at U-Haul was great but the dolly that I rented I guess had a bend in it from a previous renter and wouldn't work for the car I was towing. It cracked the front bumper of my car bc it got stuck on that bent piece and I had to take my bumper off for it to even work. Other than that the service was good but the equipment caused damage to my vehicle.

I initially rented a 5' x 8' trailer. When I got home, I realized the trailer was too big and called to asked if I could come switch it out for a 4' x 8', which I was told I could. When I arrived back, I was told that I would be charged twice since I was gone for 3 hours. I explained that I called and was told to bring it back “in a little bit.” I spoke with the field manager who was very rude, but eventually said that he would switch the trailer reservation and that I would get an $85 credit when I returned the trailer. They hooked up a 4' X 8' Trailer, which was filled with ants. Once realized, they switched the trailer out. All of this took up 3+ hours of time with the phone calls and trailer switching. So, I arrive to my destination in Kalispell Montana and I'm told that they aren't allowed to refund me the $85 and that it should have been done before I left Roanoke.

Not his fault, but the first day I tried to pick up the equipment, I was told that U-Haul was having a system-wide problem with the credit card system. So, I couldn't get my vehicle. I changed the reservation to the next day. Then, the app wouldn't accept my photo of the back of my driver's license. He tried it too on his computer and it wouldn't take it. The reservation had to be canceled and then re-entered. Then I got my vehicle. So much for non-contact pick up. He was very nice about it and apologized for all the inconvenience. But sadly, he wasn't wearing a mask---the governor's mandate.

Location owner was wonderfully professional and courteous. However, the Google maps directions sent me down a narrow, abandoned road from which I was barely able to turn around. This is more a Google Maps issue than the uhaul location itself, but if there's any way to communicate the error in directions it would save a lot of people from getting stuck.

Put a sign out on the road where it is visable to someone driving an unfamiliar vehicle in a strange city. We went by the location twice, before spotting the small sign behind a bush.
