Dolly was broken wheel barring maybe double check equipment but still location was very helpful.
Alejandro CDrop off location for our second rental was closed and the drop box was behind a fence. The app was unable to determine my location and I had to call the next day to confirm the drop off and end of the rental - way more trouble than it should have been..
Jay LFriendly owners and very flexible and accommodating. I will rent from them anytime I need to use a van or truck.

Richard SI put 4 stars because 1 thing, the app it doesn’t work as it should I tried to pick up my rental truck overnight and the app wasn’t working, but for the rest I had to come back next day in the morning to pick it up and the service was great and fast I have no complaints about that I hope the problem with the app gets fixed soon

MICHAEL PI reserved a 20’ truck and the fact I didn’t get it really screwed up my entire week. The inconvenience snowballed throughout the several extra days I had to keep the truck because it was so much smaller than I needed. I appreciate the $50 credit due to the messed up reservation but the mistake ended up costing me well over $200. I rent from you guys all the time (check my reservations from last week alone!) and this last rental was so much worse than any of my other rentals

deanna pI have my reservation at 7:30 am on a truck at the campus drive location which was not open until 9:00 am. It is unprofessional for a big company like U-Haul from which I certainly expect more. The experience was subpar and frustrating, causing my moving schedule to be delayed and affected greatly. My reservation of the elevator at my building was canceled and it costed me the cancellation fee.

Chase CThis location lied to my face, refused to accept the truck, insisted that a different location would be contractually obligated to accept the truck, and then refused multiple times to contact Uhaul or the alternate location at my explicit request. After driving all the way to the other location I was informed that I was lied to and sent back.

Jacob GDid not care for the person receiving truck return approach to telling us there would be a charge for tape on moving blankets returned & for not sweeping out the truck. We then removed the tape & swept out the box. She then commented that the cab was not swept out but she wouldn’t charge for it, the dirt & dust was minimal & not worth mentioning. Then she told us there was a missing moving blanket & we would be charged for that. No return area for truck told us to park it on the street. The return process was a hassle!

Larry CThe heater was broken on the van I rented and I had it for a 2 day period where it rained non stop. The defrosters didn't work so I had to blast cold air to prevent the windows from fogging during my 3 hr drive in the rain. It was a pretty miserable experience and I was freezing. It should be protocol to check those things after every use.

PATRICIA BAlthough convenient, not the best location to pick up at and, in particular, after hours drop off. Very akward process to drop your key off after hours too...starting with having to stick your hand thru a cyclone fence to gain access to the key lock box. No explanation provided at time of rental of the very detailed return process via cell phone app to return rental after hours.

Moshe KStaff was extremely helpful and advised me to get a larger truck which I was glad I did! If I'd stayed with the original truck I picked online, it would not have been large enough. He also explained the difference between the dolly's and I ended up getting 2 which also helped a lot with my move.

CASPER CThere was a dent on the passenger side and when I told the man who walked me to the truck, he said it was a scratch. He did not want me to notate it and asked me to continue with the acceptance of the truck on my phone. The gas line was also different. The bed and the inside of the vehicle was dirty. I asked him for a broom and he did sweep some of the dirt and debris out but left it dirty still. I told him, the truck is dirty on the inside and out but I will say iit's clean so it doesn't hurt him. Also I would return it that way. I did not add to the unclenliness of the truck. He was very annoyed that I was very particular. When I returned I greeted him and he ignored me. My pick-up time was 11am and when I drove off it was 11:30am. My arrival time was about 3:20pm and I asked him if he was going to charge me extra because I rented for 4 hours. My return was supposed to be 3:00pm. He would not answer me when I asked him several times. His response was, "Did I tell you I was going to charge you extra?" I responded and said I needed to know what he was going to charge me. Then he said "I was not nice to him" I stated that I have to know these things as I am paying for this. He responded and said"I didn't need to say anything, just drop it now." I stated that I am responding to a comment that is not true and that you can't say that to me and not expect a response. I stated that he was not nice. I have to inspect the truck before I leave is normal as I have rented from UHaul for many years. In the last 3 or 4 months this was my 3rd rental. !st time at this location. The rental locations I have used have been exceptional. I have never had one complaint. Everyone is very accommodating and nice. I will never use this location and I will let people know not to ever go there either. I never write bad reviews for anyone, but this was unacceptable behavior.
Patty MThe people at location for pick up were very friendly, However, your policies and your customer service were awful. I was curious why my location pick up had changed. All he said was “your were told you would be sent a message 24 hours ahead of time if location”. I was not aware of this. I was so shocked I was being sent to a location that was a 2 hour round trip. I mentioned we were on a time crunch. He didn’t care. He did find a closet place I could pick up. But I asked him again to explain to me how this policy works so I would know in the future. To which he said I was being hostile and this conversation did not warrant that and he hung up. I am appalled at this! I called back and told the next person what had happened and she told me that your policy is to say that and hang up. What!!!!!! I was upset but not yelling or cussing or saying anything bad just asking a question. The second person explained the way it works and apologized for the rudeness of the first guy. Customer service is so bad these days and I am so disappointed with uhaul.
Deanne CI was charged two times for separate prices. One was for $80 and other for $11. Afterwards I returned the rental and they said my new charge would be $45. I’m confused as to how they charged accrued. That and the rental place was run down and I would never rent from uhaul again.
Jnesia SI could have picked a U-Haul location that was within easy walking distance, but I chose this one because I specifically wanted a van and this was the only location that had a van available. When I got there, they did not have the van that I reserved (with no better explanation than it wasn't returned), so I had to get a truck, which was a logistical problem for me. They also charged me more for the insurance than what was listed on the website.

CHARLES SYour Costa Mesa location employees were great. I was in need of a 20 foot U-Haul truck to move some items from Huntington Beach to the Central Coast one-way. They came through, a closer location to my home didn't have one available. I arrived a little early and it was ready.

Donovan AThe website and app interface do not appear to recognize the email address or phone number, but only one or the other. The web interface, when used with an encrypted browser on your phone, does not prompt you to allow location sharing. The app interface is a significant improvement and does allow for location notification usage.
