I booked a dolly, but the dolly wasn't there. The app wasn't clear enough to tell me the process to pick up the vehicle. The app pushed the upsell and buried the pickup instructions.

This location is not great. Making this a full remote experience via the App added about 1.5 hours to my checkout process. I could not get the App to work. The attendant at the location just directed me online and then disappeared. Will not use them again.

David DI arrived for an unattended pickup, and the UHaul web site told me to come back at 10:00 when the location opened for a hand delivery. I came back at 10:00 and my order was cancelled automatically because I hadn't picked up the van. Thankfully the attendant at RightSpace Storage Austin was able to rebook it for me and then everything was great.

Marcos RWas over charged when I turned the vehicle in on time. I’m a single mom and it cost more than any other time I’ve rented a moving truck before. I said I was gonna make 2-3 trips 9 miles each way, and they put down 18 miles total. So she said I went over my miles. She was horrible to work with. I will never use Uhaul, or the vendor I picked it up from. I work as a stylist and I will tell every client in my chair never to use this company. It’s disgusting the way they treated me.
Amanda GI had a terrible experience. This was not due to the actual site though... it was due to UHaul. I had set up an appointment for 12/31 (8 am pickup of vehicle) on 12/7. I'd received multiple emails telling me that my appointment was ready to go and reminding me to pick up my rental van at 8 am. Guess what? No one was there (at a different site that I'd preferred). After ~30' on the phone w/UHaul, UHaul finally got me to this location to pick up my rental vehicle, which wasn't open yet either and pushed back my timetable and was a great inconvenience to me and the family I had asked to help me. A number of people were inconvenienced by UHaul's basic ineptitude. Very frustration experience.

Leeann HEquipment was clean and working condition. I was not able to complete the self-checkout on my own. I couldn't move past submitting pictures of the fuel level and odometer no matter what I tried. Thankfully I returned the van during working hours and Sue was able to help me. This is the 2nd time we have rented a van from this location since mid-June. I'll definitely recommend to friends and family.
Beatriz SI tried to pick up the van through the U-Haul app but got stuck at the part where it was going to call my contact and verify me. That is a huge blocker. That verification step, and the step of uploading a drivers license, should be done before I ever get to the equipment rental location. Fortunately, the lady in the office saved me, and checked out the equipment for me. The checkout experience on the app needs a significant review and reworking of the user experience.
Stephen GThe truck share option was terrible. It took me so much time to figure out how to access the location through my mobile phone. In addition all the questions, pictures that needed to be downloaded. It made me late for the job I had that morning. The returning of the truck took me as much time. Very frustrating the whole process.

Robert BI would like to complain about the mobile phone check in. This was a terrible experience. I could not check in using this process. I was transferred four times on the phone when I contacted customer service. No one could assist me until the last person stated I had to use Chrome on my phone for the internet browser. Firefox does not work. This information should be provided at the check in process tab. It took me 45 minutes to try to get it to work I finally went into the Right Space Office, they were open by then and they assisted me.

JESSICA MArrived for mobile checkout at 8am for my 8hr reservation and when I clicked “pick up my truck” an error message came saying I needed to wait till the facility opened at 9:30pm to get my truck. My movers I pay by the hour was waiting two hours and when I finally arrived back at 9:30am the gate was open but I had to wait for Sue to arrive. After telling her what happened she had the nerve to imply that it was my incompetence and not their system which did not allow me to pick up the vehicle through the mobile checkout. I told her I called u-Haul and they said the truck was returned late by the previous renters and no key code was provided for me to pick it up. She was not apologetic at all but had the audacity to tell me my “attitude” was not warranted. My 8hr reservation was now 6hrs and I needed to have the vehicle back by 4pm because the next client reservation started at 4:30pm. I honestly tried but we had a rough start and could t return the vehicle till after 6pm. I was charged full price and not even discounted for the inconvenience. Had to pay my movers for 2 extra hours so I was out of more money than expected. Would never use this company/ location again.
KARLIESHA DWhen talking with the location owner - she stated that she was unaware of the additional items needed with my online order. I ordered 10 moving blankets with the rental. However, I did not receive these. Instead I received a two wheel hand truck - which I did not need! I had to travel and move with the hand truck - which was a nuisance. You should figure out how to let the location owners see the customer’s order and prep the rental per the needs of the customer!

Cody BAn inconvenience: Website could not detect my location. After several times adjusting Location Settings, relocating, logging out/in, rebooting, I was unable to do mobile check out. Despite recording saying We are open, after @ 0:20 minutes of ringing, I could not speak with toll free number. I had to return when the facility was open.

Alan GI did not realize until I dropped the truck off that U-Haul staff would not be satirizing it. If I’d known that, I would have brought supplies to wipe the truck down before I drove it, and also after. Even though I am not symptomatic, I could still have the virus. Or, I could start showing symptoms tomorrow. Also, the process of doing the ‘contactless’ truck pick up today as frustration. They had to call some friend of mine to verify I am who I am. Because the first person I chose to didn’t answer, we had to scramble for more people. We didn’t end up actually getting our truck until 30-40 minutes after our scheduled pickup time, although, as we were driving away, I received a text saying I need to have the truck back 4 hours from my scheduled time, not from the time I was actually able to drive the truck away from the site. In general, it was stressful.

Krishna TVan was dirty inside and out, but especially outside.Attendant stated she was recuperating from shoulder surgery so unable to wash van. Automatic car wash? Attendant was also not very friendly and was irritated when I asked questions.
Rebecca SHave rented many times with U-haul. Very disappointed with this rental. Picked up 10-foot truck and drove to home, only to find dresser, pillow, hand truck and bubble wrap left in container. Called store, then returned truck to store and cleaned out myself. Store said they would adjust beginning mileage (9 miles) for miles I accrued in correcting their error - but it was not adjusted at conclusion of one-way rental. Took me extra time and cost me more for Uhaul’s error. Very disappointed.

Michele UThe pick up instructions were not really there. It was a guessing game.Very thankful for the person that works the storage office. Also, it said that the tank was full, but it was not. It was just above a quarter full so I ended up putting in more fuel than I used bc I didn't want to be charged.

James KI have used Uhaul for years for all my moves.. But next time I will try Budget.. my truck in Tx was supposed to be ready for pick up at 10:00. It was not and I could not get any help from the dealer they kept saying they would call back.. I made a reservation 2 weeks ago.. I only had movers from 10:00 to12:00.. my lease was up and I had to be out that day.. We finally found another Uhaul dealer that had a truck, a 1:00. I had to let my movers leave and I had to pay them, and we had to pack the truck ourselves.. very very stressful day We had a long Drive from TX to TN.. we had to stop and get a room for the night, when we had planned to drive strait through to safe money..
