You could make sure that when a vehicle is reserved at a certain location that you don't allow someone who just happens to have that vehicle to keep it longer than they are supposed to; that way I wouldn't have to drive 40 miles to get a vehicle and 40 miles to get it home; you should have contingency plans in place to force someone to bring back their vehicle at the appointed time or pay a really high penalty fee; that way your customers wouldn't be inconvenienced just so you could make more moneyLawrence S.

Absolutely horrible service. The van was completely dirty front and back. I could only upload one photo. He told me I need to sweep out his dirty van or else he was going to charge me and I would need to deal with uhaul. I only picked up a couch and nothing else. The location was great and the staff were very helpful, but this was my worst experience renting a truck ever. I got a call at the time I was driving to pick up the truck to be told there was no truck in the size I needed available until 8 hours later. Of course I had my friends coming shortly to help me load the truck I was supposed to be picking up. They said they had one 20 miles away a few towns over that I could maybe pick up. They confirmed I could go pick it up. I had to pay the additional mileage for driving the extra 40 miles back to my move location and dropping the truck back off with them not even in town. U-Haul knows we need them and there are not a lot of options, so they screwed up the whole timing of my day and charged me more and I had to put more gas in the truck because they know we don't have a lot of options.ANDREA D.
I did it all on line. The availability wasn't there so switched to van. She told me the $19 plus 69 cents a mile plus $10 ins. When I dropped off he just took keys and no receipt. So as if today no receipt â€”so now I don't know how much I was charged. Please let me know. Thank you, DianneDianne D.

Don't go directly through Uhaul or the Oregon, Illinois location. They both misinformed me and messed up my reservation for a larger truck and the time frame. It's caused a lot of problems and stress for me. I will not recommend either to any of my friends or family!CATHERINE B.

I would definitely rent from there again. Everything was great EXCEPT one thing. The person (male) who had me do the final signing asked me what time I would return. I said I wasn't sure. He said, "let's put 4 PM." I knew I wouldn't be back by then. He said, "OK, I'll put 6 PM." I rented it at 7 AM so I thought I had until the next day at 7 AM. I did not realize that the 6 PM time was an actual commitment of return on my part - I thought it was an approximate return time. The man should have been clear that I could be charged for another day if I didn't return the trailer in time. Fortunately, I made it and was not charged. Other than that, everything was great and I would rent again.WILLIAM W.

When I picked the truck at this location. The interior stunk of cigarettes and it was filthy. Mud on the floors, cup holders with sticky residue. I shared my concerns with the attendant here (gas station) he wasn't helpful at all. I just wanted to get on my way. Got home and cleaned and sanitized the interior. Left the windows open for several hours and it didn't help at all. Made for an awful drive from Dekalb, Illinois to Dayton, Ohio. Ref Confirmation # 84728266.David M.

This is the second UHaul we rented. The first was in excellent shape but this one had not been cleaned. There was a mask left in the cab and a strong smoke smell. I don't blame the Rochelle Clark station but I do blame the place the truck originally came from.ALBERTA H.
The online reservation system switched the pickup location to a site 25 miles away. Availability issues I understand but the system should inform me of the switch before I agree and explain why the selected location is not available. Very confusing and frustrating. Again, your software is horrible. Took over another hour to finally get a copy of my invoice that showed no balance. Asked for a copy of my original contract since I had no idea what I was charged. I have sent some emails but get automated responses. I wouldn't let a pig ride with me in the condition of the cab or truck when I picked it up! I've used the 26' trucks in the past that worked well but what I got was a old beat up, low tread AND 2 1/2 quart low of oil that I embarked on a 1700 mile journey over 3 mountain passes. Then they charged me $30 cleaning charge when I spent close to an hour sweeping and cleaning a sticky mess when I picked up.Kenn H.
I was unable to pick up the Uhaul until almost 1030am (previous customer forgot to drop off keys) and was required to have the Uhaul returned by 330pm but was still charged for 8 hours. The uhaul was dirty and smelled like marijuana. Will not use again.Caryn S.
