I reserved my vehicle for 6:30 am. It said I could use my mobile device at that time in order to get the van. When arriving the van had the window rolled down with the key left inside. This seemed like an odd way to pick up the vehicle. When going online as per the instructions online it said to pick up at 8 when the store opens. Since reserving the van for 6:30 I was unsure what to do. The van was parked horribly with two cars almost blocking the exit. Luckily I came with someone who helped guide me out. Using the van itself, there were no issues or problems. When returning the van after usage, one of the employees told me I was not supposed to take the truck. I was confused and asked what I was supposed to do since reserved at 6:30. Again he said I was not supposed to take the truck. He said he left the keys in the vehicle with the window down by accident. He continued to tell me I was not supposed to take the vehicle. It was extremely uncomfortable because he would not say what I was supposed to do instead when asked why early pick up is an option if I am not supposed to take the truck. They said they watched on video as I took the truck but again that I shouldn’t have. They checked me out without issue and did offer me an umbrella because it was raining. The experience made me uncomfortable, the van was hard to pickup be way it was parked, no clear direction and then I am told I shouldn’t have taken it at all. I still don’t know what I was supposed to do. I would not use this location again.

Other than having to wait for the van a bit it was great. The manager of the shop felt terrible. The van was brand new and once it arrived I was out of there very quickly.

When filling it with gasoline, it wasn't immediately clear what kind of gasoline it used and I had to call to be sure. That could or should have been more apparent or communicated to us

The guys were super nice. The truck was off site (didn’t take that long to get it) and this wasn’t your normal U-haul place...no boxes, tape etc due to it being an automotive place. I’m just used to my normal places ??.

Location was an oil change store. This is why I gave it an average rating. A bite cramped and crowded. The person I delt with was very friendly and helpful. I would go back.

In this day and age, it was EXTREMELY refreshing to have such EXCELLENT customer service!! I will DEFINITELY use this location for rental needs in the future!!

I had a horrible experience with the reservation aspect of the truck. I requested a 26' truck and never received a call confirming or telling me no truck was available. At 3:30 pm the day before I called the reservation line and asked if my truck will be ready. They told me that someone should have called me earlier and told me no 26' foot truck was available in Illinois. I was forced to drive from Crystal lake to Hillside to pick up a 20' truck. To make things worse that truck did not fit all my items and I was forced to rent a hitch. I wasted a lot of money and time.

They did not give me a location where to drop off the truck I rented one way it would have been cheaper for me to just bring the vehicle back and less stressful when I called the 1-800 number to find a location drop it off they made me go 6 miles away from my house when I have three locations within two miles from my house and they were training somebody when I was there

Horrible location and service. It is an oil change place. I needed a dolly, tape, mattress pad and other items. Had to travel to another location to get these items. Also, mileage on truck was incorrect, and rep at location charged me insurance even though I said I didn't want it. I was so busy trying to get mileage corrected and finding other items I didn't notice extra charge till i drove off. Customer service at this location is brutal. I came back in after looking at mileage and seeing receipt discrepancies.. he said "nothing I can do about it now" .. "you're reservation doesn't show up anymore, call 1-800 uhaul" I did call uhaul, they're giving me run around.. "We will initiate an inquiry" I reserved a 15ft truck a month in advance for a big move and left feeling ripped off.

The only issue I had was that I had requested to pick the truck at the Forest Park location since it was close to my home. They emailed and called me that the pick-up would be in Hillside. I think if a request is made to pick up a vehicle at a specific location, then that is where it should be picked up. I was very pleased with the vehicle.
