I had to drive over 300 miles to pick up a truck when I learned that UHaul allowed someone to re-rent the truck I had reserved and take off with it. I had to waste an entire day to pick up a truck to go the same distance that I was moving.

I was not told that I had to return the truck by 10:00 a.m in Anacortes, I got charged $54 for having the truck until 5:00 on the drop off day. I could have waited to pick it up until the 3rd no problem had I known I needed to return it by the same exact time I picked it up.

Two of the trailer tires were completely worn out. Wear bars on the left front tire were obvious. Right front tire tread was completely smooth, not even the wear bars could be seen. The tires were dangerously worn, likely to the point of being illegal in some states....... not sure of that. I saw the worn tires as I was loading my car to be transported. A call to the rental location where I picked up the trailer informed me: "We do not service the trailer at all. Call UHaul - Good-by." A call to UHaul (long phone wait) did get me reasonable service - except I had to pull the trailer to a tire shop and back, 13 miles each way, and it got past opening hours for the service. This trailer should NOT have been on the road with those tires. I have photos if anyone is interested. A great disappointment from a national company.

I don't understand why when renting a truck you don't have an option to rent chains for the tires. Especially in areas where the climate has poor conditions. We struggled for 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot and then spent 3 hrs stuck in the snow at the house we unloaded. Now seeing we are charged more for extra mileage when I we spent so much time spinning our tires not traveling anywhere is pretty rediculous.

Haul needs a new dealer in this area. The older gentleman had a computer older than he and still didn't know how to use it and it continually locked up on him. I never did get a contract or invoice. His computer would not allow him to compete the form. He diid not know how to run the Haul system--after not being able to use my credit card because he didn't know how to process it and he refused payment by check meant I had to leave to go get cash to pay him as that was the only form he knew how to use. I never did get an invoice. I hope you got your money ! You need a new dealer here in Lewistown MT.

There was no one at the location to assist us and no call/voicemail was received. We believe you should have a representative at the location at all times. It took two of us to lift the hitch connecter. If I had driven the hour by myself I wouldn't have been able to do it. It's horrible way to run a business!

RTC glass is great. U-haul is the problem. It's interesting all these questions are about the pick-up and drop off locations and none about the actual rental company. Intial order was 26ft truck, 2 autohaulers, and 15ft truck. Half were there at time of pick-up. But i was given option to drive 216 miles round trip to pick up the the bigger truck. The kicker was u-hual showed up at RTC the next day and wanted to take the autohauler i had reserved. RTC prevented this. Ended up renting 2 20ft trucks, 1autohauler, 1 tow dolly, and 1 trailer because thats what was there. Uhaul grade F-

The Truck had new tires on the rear right side(passenger side)... but older tires mis-matched on the rear left side(driver side). We drove from the pick up location to Pulaski TN... but we had a blow out of the interior tire on the Driver's side. That said, it happened in Columbia, MO and we were able to drive off the interstate and it just happened that there was a U-Haul repair center there. They replaced both rear driver side tires with the same brand (Michelin) tires. We were back on our way in an hour. It could have been much more of a challenge.

Issues in Lewistown were not the problems of the individual. My issues stemmed from the lack of concern from U-haul central when my initial rental was returned damaged, they seemed unconcerned and made me drive 120 miles one way to pick up another one without concession seemingly having me over a barrel with moving issues.

You guys are a real life-saver!! Lewistown (this burg in MT where all this occurred) doesn't have Hertz or Avis (or any of those). So, the only way I could get to Great Falls was to rent a U-haul. Damned expensive way to go, but it worked very nicely. Thanks!!

They were sympathetic about our latest truck experience. Suggested we mention it here. and I think if a person has to go 2 hours away to get a rental and it cost 78.00 in gas Extra you should reimburse that also seeing how we had a reservation made in advance for hazen.

Lewiston lumber should lose their u-haul business. My grandma made a reservation for a trailer that they later cancelled without notifying my grandma. Leaving her with a $50 cancellation fee. Crooks

They closed at noon but I didn't know that till I called. The U-Haul paperwork I had, had different hours listed. They did have a place for me to park though & a drop box for the keys & paperwork.
