A well-lit, paved lot, preferably with decent security would be a good start. The location is an empty gravel (no paving) lot, dimly-lit, with no one apparently around. I noticed that there might have been a security guard keeping very inconspicuous inside a parked car, but it could just as easily have been someone casing the place for stealing some trailers - and I only noticed because of military training and past security experience. Not a good, comfortable place to go and leave some equipment lying around.

Worker at this location asked me hook up the trailer by myself or gonna charge me $20 for it. And the trailer has damage but the worker said it's “ok”. Later on the trailer damaged my vehicle due to not hook up properly. And the trailer broke down on the road. Super bad experience

The lot is a dirt lot. No matter what you use the truck for, dropping it off at that lot makes it a but dusty. The key box is not near the trucks so you have to walk around a corner lot the long way to get to the key box and key drop. There is also no parking or instructions on where parking is allowed.

Very helpful, friendly team at this location. Check in and return were smooth, efficient experiences. The vehicle (truck) was new with only 4K miles, but it was very dirty - I had to stop to wash the windshield - and a previous renter had smoked inside, so the interior smelled of smoke.

Ensure that the check in/ check out process is smoother. No signs posted to notify people where to pick up the vehicle. Parking lot was blocked off by another car when arrived. No instructions really of how to retrieve vehicle.

The trailer awaiting me was in poor condition. The door hinge at the top had separated from the frame, and thus was held in place only by the lower hinge. One tire had a chunk of rubber missing. I had no choice but to accept this trailer as it was the only one available and I was leaving shortly to Southern CA. My guess is this trailer was at least 40 years old and long past it's retirement date. I had to massively duct tape the door and hope it held together.

Truck wasn't exactly clean. Suspension seems like it needs work. Should switch to allow 24/7 key pickup so I'm not subject to the hours the business is open.

There is no pavement, just mud. There was a homeless man sleeping next to the truck when I went to pick it up. He wasn't disruptive for me at all, but it doesn't seem like the area is well maintained or safe. The truck had mud (probably from the muddy "parking lot") all inside the cab. There were no dollies or moving blankets inside the truck upon arrival and I have still not received a refund for this.

The whole lot is dirt which is super muddy. And to get to the drop box you are leaving the fenced in lot going way around to the office.

I was charged for 2 days when I rented the van for one day and returned it within 24 hours and within the one day time that UHaul texted me. I've emailed UHaul to dispute the charge, which I was told would be corrected by the person on site.

took me almost an hour to check in and get the keys 1/ I filled everything on internet while I booked but at the time I came, the app asked for my driver license AND my passport or call a friend. I didn't have my passport so I had to give the phone number of a friend... not expected at all. 2/ The app asked to take a photo of the odometer, and the app kept telling me the photo couldn't be uploaded and to retry. After calling customer service, they told me that all attempts actually worked. But because I thought they were not I spent a ton of time on the app Those were app based / problems 3/ The location itself was weird. The guy told me the key was somewhere else, he went there, came back, told me the person will give the key later. I went to check and because I walked there, he came back to me and said he had the key. Took 20 minutes to get the key of the van...

I made a reservation at Rob Bakers Olympian in Millbrae, arrived and was told no van available. Did not receive further assistance except a phone number and was told to find another location. No apology, uncaring and poor service. Went to Burlingame location. No van available but Augusto called San Mateo office, found a vehicle, arranged for pick-up and asked for a discount on my behalf. Give excellent customer service rating. Went to San Mateo location and Fito assisted me and he was cordial and helpful.

Nice convenient location. We were to pick up at 4:45pm and I hadn't made it where I could do it by phone. He was already gone for the day. No one was at the location. I waited 50 min and then called I haul and they converted the reservation to one that I could check the van out myself. Nice system. When We went to drop off the next day we met Fito. Very nice man. I know why he got good reviews. My recommendation for this location is so to do the phone check out and return. If there is someone in the office by all means go in…meet Fito and he will help you.

I had to wait 30 minutes due a uhaul website error. The representative told me incorrect information about returning the vehicle. Its really unfair to charge for mileage AND expect the customer to pay for gas. Why is that even a thing? Let me pay for gas or have the uhauls full of gas. I had to add gas in the beginning and end.

This was such a welcoming and positive experience! After experiencing several frustrating Uhaul moments in my move, This return experience was fantastic, and most welcome. Fito took the time to make sure I found their location, was polite about masking, and generally just a positive person. I wouldn't hesitate to use this location again, or recommend to a friend. All Uhaul Neighborhood Dealers should learn customer service from this location.

It was easy with the online check-in. Also, the employee there on the return was absolutely professional and courteous. I have rented from various Uhaul at least 20 times for moving myself, family, and friends and this was by far the best experience. Would highly recommend this location.

The signup/reservation process is extremely lengthy and time consuming. It would be a much better customer experience to simplify and not have so many add-on options cluttering the workflow. Additionally, while I opted out of ALL extra coverages, when I returned the vehicle I was charged for CDW coverage and it took time for the person helping me to credit me back. While the original charge is on my credit card the credit hasn't shown up yet.

Picking up this equipment took me over 90 minutes. It was crazy and ridiculous. On hold online for 25 mins at a time before an agent would even reply. Timeout multiple times tried three times then had to call and was put on hold for 20 mins. During all of this some other guy came and picked up the van I had been assigned so I had to have everything redone. Worst experience I ever had. Will probably never use uhaul again if this is what it's going to be like
