It's not imperative, but it would be helpful if the gas tank were full when picked up! It makes it easier to replace prior to return.

fully inspect vehicles before renting to customer. this location rented me a 26' truck with vent missing from top of gas tank. Agent told me "check engine light is on but my guy checked it and said it's ok". after i filled the truck with gas it started pouring out the hole in top of the tank. this forced me to do a transload to another truck costing me a 24 hour delay. Also the location did not provide me with the furniture dolly or moving pads that i had reserved 2 months prior online.

The location itself was fine. The fact that this location isn’t the city we asked for the truck to be in was not. We also were not contacted about this so it put us in a terrible position trying to move and find a van. It basically ruined my day (I graduated from college that day) so needless to say I have a terrible view of U-haul. The location though should not be blamed for this.

Gas gauge was below what paperwork said. Rental paperwork specified it had a full tank when I left with it, but it was actually 7/8’s of a tank. However, I did fill tank up before returning it figuring I would eat the extra money in gas to avoid a fee for not returning it full. Therefore it cost me $7 in gas ($2.35/gallon) to drive a 10’ truck exactly 10 miles. I brought it to the attendant’s attention the next morning, but she didn’t seem to care at all and had an “oh well” kind of attitude about. Not very good customer service. Not to mention that I reserved a dozen moving blankets online, and they didn’t have them. I doubt I use this location again. Even though it IS closest to my neighborhood, the aloof attitude of the attendant was unappealing.

The regional manager went out of her way to get the equipment that I needed to the location near me at the time I needed it. There were shards of glass and a little trash in the trailer. This really wasn't a issue. I have been using U-Haul for decades and it's always my first choice.

There's nothing to improve, just continue to give the services they give. They were so helpful and understanding. They listen to what I needed, did not rush me, and made sure if there was anything else we needed just to let them. It's hard to find great excellent caring services like S&J Farm & Feed provided. Thanks again for restoring my faith that there's still a company who really cares about their customers.

The truck was not clean. When I returned the truck it took the employee 45 minutes to check it in. 45 minutes, really.

I had to wait on hold a long time when I called to see if there was a trailer. When I arrived, I had to wait about 10 minutes for the only employee that could rent a trailer to come downstairs. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. I was the o ly customer there I this retail business.

I placed the order online to include a wiring adapter for the trailer I was renting. The location I selected showed to have the correct trailer on hand and could pick the adapter up in store. My location was changed and the new location didn't show my adapter with my order. I called the originally planned location and it turns out they don't even carry that item, but don't worry uhaul charges my card for it anyway even though I had to buy one elsewhere. If any future customers are reading this plan ahead for wiring adapters and do not depend on uhaul add on items to have them in stock for you to pick up. Terrible service all around.

I was not able to get the original size truck I reserved; however, the staff was extremely friendly and the manager worked with me to make sure I got everything I needed, along with a great discount to cover having a smaller truck and making extra trips. I highly recommend this location!!

Pick up location was changed twice, including on morning of pickup. I requested to pick up at 8AM but couldn't pick up till 10 AM at a location further from my home. This cost me valuable time.

Staff were friendly and helpful. However, the time process was was far too lengthy. I have rented U-Haul trailers from numerous locations throughout the state. I’ve never encountered such a lengthy process of questions, paperwork, verification, even a call to a second party for verification. Why would anyone go thru that when you could get the same product, same price, with less hassle and shorter turn around time?

S&J Farm & Feed need more than one person working there. The lady goes to the store to open at 8:00 am. She has to get the computer started. Help customers. Check out customers shopping at the store. And also take care of U-Haul customers. It’s common knowledge people that shop at that kind of store are early birds. And a lot of people that rent a U-Haul are going to be early birds. That one lady working there was doing the work of three people. That store does not need to rent U-Haul equipment because they cannot accommodate the customers. My heart goes out to that lady working there. If someone is going here they need to allow plenty of time to wait. I was there when the place opened and I had to wait for the lady to check out three customers shopping at the store before she could check me out.

They did not have the requested and paid for furniture pads which I did not realize until I was 20 minutes away and loading the truck. This caused an hour delay in loading our truck. The regional manager did drop off the furniture pads mid loading which was helpful.

The only complaint I have is when we arrived to pick up the truck the Uhaul Representative had left for the day. She supposedly looked to make sure there were no open reservations but ours was there and she left so we had to wait for her to come back to store to get our truck. However, we left some of our ratchet straps in the back of the truck and they not only found them but kept them safe till we returned so that made up for the delay in pick up.

When picking up and dropping off, the fuel amount was set to 7/16 of a tank. Why just go off of the full mark since all other increments would be complete guess work which would call for going back and forth from pump handle to fuel gauge. The only true mark is the full mark.

Please ensure that when someone makes a reservation at a particular location, please let them know if they have to go to another site to get the truck. Also ac didn't work in my truck.

While the people at this location were very nice and accommodating, the vehicle itself was filthy. The exterior had not been washed and the cab as well as the back was dirty. The cab had cigarette ashes in it as well as drink spills. Other than that the truck performed very well.

Was overcharged, I declined insurance and they put it on contract anyway. Also I was told I could pay with a check on my return when I got there that changed. I was called the next morning bright and early awaken out of my sleep by an associate asking me where is the key to the uhaul and I checked the uhaul in with a person the day before ??????? I'm flabbergasted at the experience I went through

Make sure the unit numbers match up with correct stock on your website. Very misleading to your customers and workers! This delays time and wastes it also!
