Truck had a u-joint or mid-shift bearing going. The foreign folks didn't seem like they were going to do anything about it for the next renter. Also reserved protective pads, but none were available. The reservation was made with one company and transferred to another that had no pads available. They didn't offer to call around, but suggested I drive around to other places to see what I could find. The equipment was fine, but there doesn't seem to be any franchise control given the large amount of uhaul folks in the area. I have twice rented uhaul trucks in as many years, and the dolts taking the reservations really seem to stumble thru the reservation and checking out process.

They didn't have some of the equipment the i requested with my reservation. They didn't confirm the mileage before or after, luckily I took pictures. I also didn't like the fact that they were using their personal phone to do everything as well as enter my debit card info.

Bad neighborhood and there was only one guy who spoke English well enough to use U-Haul system. I was supposed to pick up truck at 9am and have for 24hrs. I had to wait until 10am when the english speaking man came in and had to have truck back by 8pm before he left for the weekend.

Make sure they dont charge for gas when you return vehicle in the same condition and charge you unnecessary/additional things that you did not get.

Have people that actually know what they are doing renting the uhauls. Additionally they double charged me for the rental which is ridiculous. 0 stars

I am a moving labor company and we rent uhauls all the time to offer full service moves to our customers. This Uhaul dealer does not show his employees how to use the POS properly so that my employees can get the truck and keys. We waited an hour and had my customer waiting for us because they didnt know where the key was and when they found it they couldnt get it from the lockbox because they didnt have the keys.

Save gas station (in Michigan City) employees are not trained properly to handle the check out and check in process. I spent 2 hours attempting to help them and was unsuccessful in the end. I have been overcharged for my rental. Part of the problem might be there website setup. It allowed me the option to checkout a trailer at 9:00pm on Sunday night and when I called the UHaul customer service number they said I should not have been able to pickup after 5:00 pm on Sundays.
