We rented two 15' trucks, because the 20' truck we requested never showed up. One of the 15' trucks had two right-hand mirrors. This meant the left side, the drivers side, could not be properly adjusted for the rear view without removing the smaller mirror that is mounted below the main mirror. Also, neither truck had cruise control. UHaul rents trucks for long distance moves. it shows a lack of customer oriented focus to ask them to keep their leg and foot in the same exact spot in order to maintain speed for hundreds of miles. In my case this resulted in leg cramps, extended discomfort, and much cursing of UHaul. Cruise control is a basic automotive technology and I am certain it would not cost UHaul a great amount of money to include this feature on their fleet.George G.

This was the worst U-Haul experience I have had. First, I reserved a 10 foot truck for Saturday, and I received a call Saturday morning saying that the truck was being returned late by the previous user. So, they gave me a 15 foot truck. Second, when I picked up the truck, the location was closed and the person returning the 10 foot truck parked directly behind the truck I was getting - parking me in! I called UHaul and they tried to contact the location manager, who refused to come in. My wife and I spent an hour there on the phone with UHaul. Finally, I grabbed a hook and fished the key to the 10 foot truck out of the key drop box to move the truck. Third, the truck I rented was disgusting!!!!!!!! The cab smelled terrible and there was a visible layer of dirt and dust on the seats and dashboard, as if someone drove it into a dust storm. I used the truck for one day to move a few things to my new apartment and returned it promptly. When I did, the app asked me if the truck needed cleaning - I said YES! Then, the UHaul app charged me a $25 cleaning fee. What?!?!? I was reporting that it was dirty, not that I did it! What garbage! I tried calling UHaul, but they proceeded to charge me the cleaning fee. Knowing the manager of the store, they will probably pocket the cleaning fee and rent that disgusting truck to someone else. I can't verbalize how disappointed I am with UHaul and this location. DO NOT GO HERE!!!Brent H.

Get someone who pays attention to detail and actually knows how to process paperwork. The attendant changed my drop off location and return dates, costing me more money than I should have been. If i could have gone with another rental agency I would have and will certainly do so next time.Lela B.

1/2 tank of gas, do you know how hard it is to return and estimate 1/2 tank on return? cab was full of dog hair and very dirty. I called the corporate office and they still did not give me the correct amount of mileage. very disappointing.greg W.

The support was grudging. I was an inconvenience. The trailer had some superficial damage that was not marked or brought. To my attention until I brought it to the drop location. The drop location was excellent. Help was friendly and kind.JASON S.

I reserved a u haul for my move 3 months in advance and 2 days prior to my move I got a call stating they have a nation wide shortage on u hauls and would have to cancel my truck. I got it worked out after going through so much stress im 63 yrs old and a woman and it was awful moving experience. They are not organized. No priorities for people. Then I was almost double charged for my truck and auto transport . Then they kept calling me on my trip saying the uhaul hadn't been dropped off when I had dropped it off on time and then I was charged an extra over hundred dollars saying the truck was late. Never again! I was also quoted wrong prices! I returned my truck almost a wk ago and auto transport and I'm still getting phone calls about them where are they? Really?Lisa H.

I reserved a 15 foot truck because that is as large as I felt comfortable driving. Less than 24 hours prior to leaving a got a call saying I would be picking up a 20 foot truck. I was bummed. I had to drive a truck that was too large for hundreds of miles that when I got everything packed up it was only half full!R.Keithj R.

My receipt showed a mileage that was 2 miles less than actual. This location couldn't allow remote drop-off because of snow plowed by the city closed the drop-off lot. That caused me to drive an extra 40 miles, for which they charged me 1.29 per mile, and store the truck through the weekend. I also thought I should get some credit for providing extra gas.Gary A.

I'm pissed that I didn't get a refund on my dolly rental. I didn't even use it. We thought we might use it, called uhaul an hour later letting them know we wouldn't be using it (didn't have enough room in my truck to fit what we thought we would need the dolly for) and tried to tell them we wouldn't need to rent the dolly for the 4 days we originally rented it for, but they said because we already picked it up, we paid for the rental. Like if we returned the rental, you could lend it to someone else who needs a dolly within the 4 day span and charge them. Why wouldn't you do that? Seems silly to me. As the first time using uhaul, not very impressed with this. Also had me jump through literally 6 hoops to get a different supply order refunded because your site wasn't working to cancel the order myself online. Your people kept transferring me to the same message machine. Ridiculous process. I'd be happy if I could just get my refund for my dolly. Thank you.Kathryn C.

I called the morning of and they were closing early so I had to spend my morning returning since they weren't staying open until 5 like their website said. other than that, the process was really quick and friendly. the website probably shouldn't even have the Hailey Idaho site posted because I guess it isn't there anymore.Debbie G.

I returned the vehicle this morning to what used to be the back lot of this business. And was changed a $100 that was listed as a cleaning fee. When I called to ask about the charge I was informed that it was an inconvenience fee they pay to the owner of the back lot. And that it happens all of the time and they just change the customers the $100 charge. But they never tell the customers that that lot is no longer theirs and make sure you don't return your rental there or you will be charged an extra inconvenience fee. I'm pretty sure that the same person that owns this business is also still the owner of the back lot and is just using this as a side hustle for extra cash on the side.Dustin O.

The rental experience went smoothly, though took a little longer than I think it should have, and that was after waiting about 10 minutes for other non-UHaul customers to be taken care of. The trailer was clean and served its purpose. The tie-down points inside the cargo trailer were very narrow and it was a challenge to use the straps and tie-downs that I had. Thinner rope/cord, like cloths line, would be needed to fit through these tie-down points.Robert K.
