I hope U-Haul company can communicate better with their locations. Quote and fees with U-Haul do not reflect the reality of what became my reality. From drop off of U boxes to delivery at final destination was drastically higher prices. Will not use U Haul again due this deception . Working with Scottie’s was a good experience but unfortunately they were the at the end of a long list of deceptive practices on UHaul’s part.

TIMOTHY MORGANTrailers' tiedown rails have been re-glued to the side of the trailer and way too much glue was used making it impossible to use the tiedowns to secure the load.

Dillon MapesMy girlfriend and I rode our E bike 7 miles in 34° weather to this location after we got told there was an issue the day before pick up with our orginal location 1.5 miles away. Got there, wouldn't let us get the 15' truck we had reserved so I called the uhual number. The man said we did everything right and the location didn't do their part to set it all up in the key box. So we had to settle for a 10' and it caused us to take much longer to move. Very disappointed since i set it up ahead of time. Will try a different company here in Quincy Il next time probably.
Nicole PopeNo improvements, you couldn’t find a better customer service location and Jeff was awesome his personality is spot on, I had a bad situation that wasn’t u haul problem but while I tried to explain he immediately smiled while all I wanted to do was cry like a baby, so thank you Jeff for making me feel normal I needed that.

When I reached the location, they had not put the discount in the system. A couple of phone calls later, it was fixed but overall it was an okay experience. The guy at Scottie's who handled the pick up was great.

Thomas DriggersThe only issue was that one if the tires on the 6x12 trailer had gone flat prior to my arrival- The dealer swapped a good tire from another unit so I could get going- The pick-up was a very pleasant, and only slightly delayed. The gentleman was courteous and pleasant.
marty rothDon't rely on Google maps for directions. Google maps directs you on a weird route. It is right on the main highway. The people here are great!
Thomas DriggersWe reserved a uhaul for 8am pick up. The location forgot to put the key in the drop box so we were not able to pick up until 11 when the store open then it took another 30 minutes for paper work. Serious delayed my day.

Gary DavisMy location to pick up and drop off was changed and I received no notification at all telling me so. I used 12 more miles because of the location change costing me extra money. Only way I knew it changed was when I looked at the app to double check the time. Then the app would not work for the 24/7. I tried customer service and they told me it did work. I had to call the owner of the business at his home and he had to come to the store to assist me. Then when I returned the truck,bthe app wouldn't work to check in the truck. The business was great in helping me but your app is trash.
AMY WHITEAKERWe rented a 6 X 12 trailer for 2 days. We almost couldn't drop the trailer. The trailer tongue was so heavy We had a horrible time unhooked it. Maybe supply a way for the customer to unhook easier.

Will WaltonAfter I did everything the app told me to do. It just turned off. I took the key in because it did not leave directions for this. The employees had no clue what they were supposed to do. They had to call someone for directions. I told them I thought that I had done everything on line but I thought I just had to bring them the key. Adding directions for that would be helpful

Was a youth member who assisted me and still got it wrong uhaul support attempted fix following day however now trying to charge me for another $235. For a extra day i was told would cost me $40. And was told i was covered with the extra insurance i paid for in having to replace key. Found key and was told not to worry about it i was covered. This is extra bs.. The whole experiance is bs. Wont use this location again. Not to mention had to use a much larger truck than i initially needed and was charged with that too. Maybe Penske next time... PAUL WEARUhaul was unable to reserve a trailer anywhere in the state of Illinois stating every location said unassigned. I requested a location and Uhaul took it upon themselves to decide where I would pick up. That's terrible operations and customer service.

micheal beastonI began this process with talking to Mike Haxel @ Haxel Shell in Quincy,IL. I will NOT recommend him To anyone. He never said anything to the fact that there was a chance I would not be picking U-Haul up at his location. You can imagine how freaked I was when I received notice I was picking up in Hamilton IL...45 min away! I called him...and he flat out lied to me!!! First claimed he didn’t talk to me...I personally went up there to make deposit so he couldn’t get out of that lie so he went with that he explain all of this to me when I came in. All he said to me when I came in was I’m him...because I asked for Mike said I needed to put a deposit down and he had another employee do it. He gets a big fat F for my rating!!!! Thank goodness for the kind man at Scotties Fun Spot in Quincy IL where I did pick up my rental. I was under so much stress and he made sure that everything went as smooth as possible!!!!

michelle dukeFirst of all we were told our reserved truck was not available due to overbooking . So the location we chose was transferred to one way far away from us meaning more cost and loss of time etc .. then the day before my 87 year old mother who was moving said she did not get any recorded message the day before to tell us the location was changed to Scotties . There was absolutely no message left on her phone . My mother of age 87 said she did not hear the phone ring so had no idea that her moving truck would not be available 8:00 am the day she was moving . The morning of her move her daughter called to make sure all was ok and was informed thre was no truck . He called us back and said the corporate Uhaul company double booked the truck and that we would need to pick it up at another location . That other location ( Scottie ) was a good distance and that they were opening at 10.000 instead of 8:00 am . Our hired movers was expected to arrive at 10.00 am where we would have provided the truck already .Our moving day for our mother was filled with last minute confusion and anxiety . UHAUL NEEDS TO IPROVE THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION . WE WEFE INFORMED THAT UHAUL has done this type of business often and that is not reassuring at all . Scotties location is a fun house / skating rink for children and not a business for Uhaul trucks . Upon our arrival we needed find the door to the Uhaul business . We shouted in one door and someone said they would get someone to help us . We were asked to follow them in a dark playhouse and there we conducted business on the dark since the kids play place was closed up due to Covid 19 . I’m not sure why we were not in a room with lights . Strange day and our movers tried very hard to get our move in since we were delayed . Out of 10 - UHaul got a 10 for a great truck and a 0 for double booking our paid reservation one week ahead of our move . Also a 0 for poor communication for Scotties UHAUL , since no message on her iPhone was not left
