A BETTER CHECK OUT METHOD, AND BETTER CHECK IN.
DONALD ALLENI rented a 20ft truck w/ 6 moving pads and a utility dolly, all I got was the truck. I needed the utility dolly bad. Had to call around to some friends to see if they had anything. I'm still waiting on my reimbursement for the utility dolly and the pads. The location was supposed to be open but there was no one there when I got there. It had recently snowed so I had to clean all the snow off the windshield, hood and doors. There was a small haul van in front of my rental so I had to back the truck through snow covered grass into a neighboring burger king parking lot. Nothing was done ahead of time and it cost me an hour and a half to get what I feel done what should've been done ahead of time by the U haul rep on site. The key to the truck was ok but the keychain tag with the truck info was damaged so I looked stupid turning the key in when I got to the dropoff location telling the guy there that I was like that when I received it.
Paul BakerWe first reserved a van then it was double booked told us we vod get a truck at same cost go for pick up truck not there but van was we wait for truck for an hour call unsullied said take the van when processing paperwork truck show up dealer said we couldn’t take at same cost ended up with van. Poor communicate and customer service

Shikia PerrinChecking out the van was a little slow . but was taken care of . I suggest the owner get a more updated computer as , it was slow ,checking in and out . the owener was friendly and tried hard to help.
Victor ElbazThe truck had not been cleaned. Drink spills all over and sticky. Food and bottles left in vehicle. We dropped truck off same day and I left my cel phone in truck. Called for several days and they just hang up on and will not give me my phone back. Told me not his problem. They are EXTREMELY RUDE! My location service app shows the phone is still there but they refuse to give it to me even with Find my phone app. I am going to get the police involved because this is ridiculous. Businesses should not treat people this way. Bp Service in Seaford is beyond HORRIBLE! Beware they are shady and unprofessional!
JOHN TAYLORTook me over 1 hr to check in. I initially was attempting to do the mobile check in. All the information was input online to reserve the truck, however even I got to the site I couldn't check in. The gentleman was having difficulty with his system. Called customer service and had to give the information a over again. The check in process was not seamless.

Janet DeshieldsI was made to wait a half hour because they had only one person available who didn't seem to know what they were doing. After I had closed out and paid they demanded I park the vehicle - a risk I should not have taken and they should not have asked me to take. I did it and left.

Had to wait outside in cold wind for 15 - 20 min. while BP station attendant worked on his laptop to locate my reservation, despite my having all papers and reservation confirmation in hand printed from the computer. Then requested additional information that I had already provided in my online when making the reservation.
Wolfgang HehnPerson I turned truck in was very rude. Extremely not helpful. I was asking him a question and he shut the window to the island he was in. I would never recommend that location to anyone. I recommend that he attend a customer service class before working with the public.

Marlene SavageWhen a reservation is made a month in advance for a certain location, and confirmed the night before, then you should certainly expect not to have to drive 40-50 miles one way to pick up at a different location. There was nothing wrong with the location, just that I had to drive there to get a truck. Especially when you are charging someone $1.29 a mile for a rental!!

Gerald KenneyAfter driving over 500 miles I was told I had to come back three hours later to make a payment because they would not take cash or a different debit card because they just didn’t know how to use the U-Haul system yet. I also have been using 2 to 3 times a month with another location as you see on my file. Spend a lot of money with uhaul this year . Into the thousands . It would be great to at least have a better rate . already had a 14 hour drive . Than had to drive 50 ex miles to return and make a payment when some one knew how to work the uhaul system . Uhaul also averaged less than 7 miles per gallon . Was most i ever spent . I also had to stand in the cold for a very long time trying to get this settled. Every one should be properly trained. They lost a big customer .

ROBERT OCONNELLThe experience was so bad, the truck wasn't there when we reached the place and we had to wait 3 hours till we got our truck. I had to push the moving helpers appointment at later hours which could cost me extra money but luckily the moving helpers were really cooperative and did it without charging me any extra fees. The overall experience wasn't good and I really recommend to have better communications with your customer and not overbook your trucks because customers usually have plans that can't be easily adjusted.

Bruce ButlerMake sure the trucks have their maintenance checks done if scheduled for a long trip. The check engine light kept coming on and after waiting for roadside assistance, they said everything was find but had to continuously pull over and shut truck off and restart it.
Jennifer JonesPick up location was changed on the day of pick up. Notification was texted and emailed to me but I was driving all day so I didn’t see the notification until I got to the original pick up location. Drop off location was closed when I got there (9am scheduled drop off). I and several others waited for about an hour. Finally I called another U-Haul location nearby and I was told to leave the trailer in an adjacent empty lot.

Gary HilderbrandtThe attendant at this location was helpful considering the fact that U-Haul system had my rental as an 'in town' trip when it clearly stated on my contract that it was a ONE WAY trip. He was able to get on my phone (after I called and spent almost 25 minutes on hold) with U-Haul to get my drop off into his location so that we could leave it there. I still had to pay EXTRA because of the screw up from the company. I should NOT have had to go through such a horrible experience, followed by yet ANOTHER screw up when I was trying to just end the trip. Not a happy customer!

navrang brahmabhattDon't waste your time or money! We reserved out truck a week in advance and when we arrived, our truck was given out. We were told three times to go to another location and when we arrived at that location - our reservation was not there and was actually in another town. Drove to a third location and it took a very long time to get our truck and we were charged more than what we were told online. Very unhappy with U-Haul! Poor customer experience and lack of care.
Shawn PhillipsI wasn't expecting this to be a gas station with two trucks for rent. It just felt "sketchy" . The attendant was VERY NICE but the process was not efficient and took close to an hour. The site was down and he had to reload twice.
Barbara HughesAnswer the phone when your customers call. I waited on line each time I called for an hour plus. The return drop boxes at locations aren’t designed to accommodate larger key sizes. The key would not fit in the drop box. Had to make a second trip to wait thirty minutes for an attendant to show up. The charges beyond daily rental, miles and tax should be disclosed when a customer books a reservation.

I finally asked the lone employee at the location (which was a gas station) for help. He gladly assisted me but we were interrupted many times by customers purchasing gas, cigarettes, snacks, etc. His 50 cent snack customers were more important than my $100 truck rental. Never again!
rickey GarnerLocal agent was excellent I used on line reservation system and checkin process but kept getting an error message that I was not entering a valid drivers license number. That is not true!! The local agent had to re-enter all the info into the system. Very frustrating.

Jenine DenhamThe "clean and well maintained" question needs to be split. The truck was well maintained, ran well and even the AC worked flawlessly on a VERY hot moving day. "Clean" definitely did NOT apply to this vehicle. Given the COVID-19 concerns, and the cleaning touted by U-Haul on their web site, we were disappointed to find the cab absolutely filthy. While throwing away trash that was left by a prior customer(s), we even found a (current) electric bill from a prior customer. (That was left with the agent at return.) We wiped down everything with disinfecting wipes, which was supposed to have already been done, and they were FILTHY brown with grime that came off the seats, handles and controls. That is not only gross, but dangerous right now. This truck hasn't even seen a vacuum cleaner in a very long time, as the floor was covered in dirt. The truck performed well and definitely did the job. It was NOT clear when we rented the truck that the one-way rental only included 99 miles, so the web site really needs to clearly present that information. That is obviously not a "strike" against the pick-up location.
