Gas tank should be full when vehicle is picked up and customers should refill tank before returning. That way, customers are paying for the gas they actually used and not trying to guess how much gas they should buy to make up for what they used.

You should really strive to be much more customer service oriented. I found the employee disinterested, uncaring, unapologetic, and most definitely not wanting to provide customer service. Despite my calling several days ahead, I was unable to rent the smallest van that would have been more than sufficient for my needs and was forced to rent a larger and more expensive moving truck. Either that or I could drive to another city, approximately 20 miles away to pick up and drop off the desired van. In addition, when I rented the larger truck, I was told that it only had a quarter tank of gas and I would only be able to travel 70 miles at most. That necessitated an extra stop to gas up. At a minimum you should send every vehicle out with a full tank which would make refills easier and save customer's time when returning truck. For these reasons, this was among the worst customer experiences that I've ever encountered.

Worst experience I have ever had with UHaul. The online check in was horrible. I have used it before and it was very annoying but I thought I would try it again. It took over an hour and a half to get the truck and I don't think it actually completed correctly. First, I was over an hour from my estimated check in time. I am sure that there had been a warning that this would cause a problem. But when I tried to check in two hours later it never told me that the issue was because I was trying to check in outside of the time. Instead I spent 25 minutes trying to get the system to work. Then a really great customer service person helped. But we still spent another hour getting the self check in to work! The pictures would not take, the app kept closing, there was no on-site staff. If I ever use UHaul again I will never use a self check in site or process. That was so very horrible and upsetting. I can't express enough how angry I was during this process.

The location was fine - but the mobile pick up and drop off was very difficult. The wifi was spotty - and the location service didn't work - even though it was enabled on my phone. I found it cumbersome and time consuming. I won't use this service again. The truck only had a quarter of a tank of gas in it when I picked it up.

My drop off time was set at 9am, the personnel at the drop off location don't come in till 10am. I was caught off guard by the drop box procedure. If my pickup location would have given me drop box education I could have had a smoother experience. I still had a fine experience and I am not mad about anything. Just giving feedback on what would have made it perfect.

The sign on the door stated their hours were closed Tues and Wednesday so we came home and called them. When we asked if they were open the very grumpy and rude man said "well I answered the phone, didnt i? when we told him there was a sign stating they were closed he said there was no sign. We have a picture of the sign, yes there was. He was very rude and acted like our business didn't matter.

The pick up location was very nice. The cost for the unit was way over priced. I feel uhaul is taking advantage due to the economy. I feel they over charged two rentals would pay for the cost of the trailer new. Way disappointed that they have the balls to do this. Way to go uhaul

My only problem was there were no available trailers closer to my location (Pacific City). The return trip was an hour and 10min. The U-haul people in McMinnville were very pleasant and helpful.

When I got to the location it was not easy to know how I had to talk to on reserving a truck. Because it shared the same building with a appliance sales shop. No sings to tell you . And the person checking me in and taking my information was no friendly. It seem to me she had lack of staffing and overwhelmed. Also the after hrs drop location is in a dead zone for cell service. So trying to go through the steps to do a drop off after hrs is really hard to do. Would not recommend I have Been renting uhauls tucks and trailers all over American for over 20 years. Definitely need to work on the disorganized sing placement key drop placement and front desk check in entry. Thanks

Your online system is awful. It took me over an hour to check out the vehicle because your server kept timing out. If you are going to rely on technology it better be good. Bad technology is worse than no technology at all. I finally go through to someone on the phone proceded to tell me that it was my wireless connection. I had 5 bars of connectivity. Also the need to call a 3rd party to verify you identity defeats the purpose of 24hr pickup.

I rated this location as Excellent and could as easily rated them Poor. However, your form doesn't provide that feature. The poor rating is for your employees failure to follow the State of Oregon Governor's order to wear face masks while working in your business. It's not optional. It's about public health and mitigating the spread of Covid. On a personal level, wearing a mask is about customer service including regard for another.

My overall experience with U-Haul was abominable! The web based sign in took me an hour and 45 minutes to complete. It is impossible to correct things, back up and redo pictures, and I was bumped off the site numerous times which meant I had to go to customer service. The agents there were friendly but had no capability of coping with your unfathomable and incomprehensible online presentation. As I commented to one agent, your website is slower than snake snot one on icicle! I think you get the sense of my experience today. During one of the hours that I was waiting, I had movers waiting for me running up a charge of $80 an hour. Do you need to hear more? Ask me and I will tell you!

I was not happy with the times…. i could not go inside to pick the truck up till 10:00 am …. I've used the online rental before and it was a total nightmare (refuse to do that again) and that truck was dirty inside and the windshields was filthy….and had several lights on the dashboard on like the engine check light and a low tire light, i had air put in that tire….i left a review on that one but never heard back from uhaul…..i was skeptical to rent another from that location but had to …i had to have it returned by 4 because the uhaul people left at 4 but the store closed at 6pm. So i was charged for 8 hours but had to hv it back in 6??? Doesn't seem right there? I also was charged another $20 for a after hour return when i had it back at 5 one hour after the uhaul people left but the store was still open. I left the keys in the drop box and backed the truck up against the fence properly… So for a total of 25 mile trip (round trip) and only had the 20' truck for 7 hours i paid $130.00 plus $27.00 in gas a total of $157 very very expensive…i felt i was charged way to much for the time, milage and rental.

I TRIED TO PUT IN MILEAGE ON THE WEBSITE N I WASNT ABLE TO GET BACK IN THE TRUCK MY KNEES ARE SUPER BAD IT WAS EXTREMELY HARD FOR ME TO GET IN THE TRUCK I HAD TO USE A STEP STOOL N THE I PULLED A MUSCLE IN MY BACK FROM GETTING OUT CUZ I DIDNT HAVE STOOL WITH ME I REALLY THINK THE TRUCKS SHOULD HAVEAN EXTRA STEP FOR OLDER PEOPLE THAT HAVE ISSUES OF GETTING IN N OUTTA OF TRUCKS LIKE THESE I DONT THINK PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE TO USE A WEBSITE TO TURN KEY BACK IN JUST MY OPINION

Maintenance wasnt done before pickup. Also called daily to rerent the vehicle and was back on time for checkout. Thought I checked in with the gentlemen inside the store. About 10 minutes after checkout time a woman appeared from the bathroom or back??? And told me to drop the keys in the back because it was after hours and then I was charged a late fee and more additional charges when zi arrived 5 minutes before my due date. This cost me $30 in late fees plus additional charges for miles and the amount bounced at my bank because I shouldnt have been charged in the first place. This also caused me an overdraft fee of $35. I will never recommend uhaul from the mcminnville Sears uhaul again. Crooked, lazy, lying sales pe rson

This was a Godsend. My van was full of gas and very clean. I kept extending my return dates as my project took much longer than I anticipated. They were very easy to contact and very friendly. I would highly recommend Sears Hometown for any rental need.

A year or two when I used this location, it was great. But this time, I had the same experience that another person I know had. He told me not to use that location as the older lady who worked the front desk had an attitude and made the transaction very uncomfortable. Frankly, I had forgotten his warning until I was sharing my story with him, how I felt she had some kind of problem. He then reminded me of what he had told me. I could actually go on and on, but I will say I have NEVERbefore left a negative review.....ever! The other person wanted to go on google and blast the company but I asked him not to as I feel people should have an opportunity to fix it.

App did not work. Store was open at 9 but they would not help until 10am. Called customer service and they were no help. Return app did not work either 9pm 1hour 4 min on phone and they disconnected me. Called back 30 min wait and they said app was not working. Truck leaked and everything got soaked. Leaving the country so no time to file a claim. When I return I will never use uhaul again.
