Horrible service. Vehicle was not checked in until 3 days after I dropped it off. Then the location charged my credit card for the 3 additional days. Now I'm waiting for an Area Manager to contact me so that I can get a refund.William K.

My reservation online was booked for and showed the marathon not the BP. I arrived at the marathon and the clerk showed no record of my reservation. I waited on hold for 20 minutes until the customer service answered. They showed my reservation should be there. Then 10 more minutes passed and I was moved to scheduling. They were able to find a truck to use at the BP. The clerk at the BP was nice. The truck was fine for what we needed but was not cleaned well. The back was not swept including dark stain on the floor and broken glass. The cab was not clean either and there was even a Corona bottle rolling around under the passenger seat. This was my first experience with Uhaul and I could not be more disappointed.Ryan F.

I reserved a 15ft. Only a 10 ft available. I later discovered a leaky plug in rear tire in the SIDEWALL! Plugs don't work in the sidewall!! I had to stop every 2 hrs for air on my out of state trip (total 1900 miles). I was authorized to replace the tire. I still have not been reimbursed for the tire. Ridiculous!! Return date 7/1 Raabe. 240-454-1409. You leave me no choice but to contest the $2100 charge w/Citi Bank until this is resolved.Bertram R.
The furniture pads I requested and paid for were absent when I picked up the vehicle. I tried requesting pads at a neighboring uhaul location and they told me they were unable to supply me any. If uhaul is going to prep and leave any packing equipment for their customers in their vehicles, they need to put them in a secure location or have someone confirm they are present right before handoff. Cupholders were also sticky with visible sugary residue, floor of truck also had chip crumbs.Malia D.
Attendant was very nice and courteous, but truck was dirty, sluggish, dinged up all over and the driver's side door would barely close all the way. Might be time to repair or retire that truck. Was charged for moving blankets and dollys that the location didn't have, but was refunded after I closed out the rental.Robert T.

I want to say the first location I was directed to go to (U-Haul Moving & Storage of King Farm at 1355 Piccard Dr. Ste 135, Rockville, MD 20850) was little to no help. The gentleman behind the counter was moving boxes and proceeded to call me up after he was done after 5minutes of just standing while his co-worker was helping a customer. Then to tell me my pick location was at the (U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer 15211 Frederick Rd, Rockville, MD) 20850 which is a mile or two away making getting the truck not a convenient task at all. The staff (one person) was working the desk and she was wonderful at this next location but the parking and getting out of the lot was next to impossible considering a 15-foot truck has to be backed out just to get this off the lot. I really didn't appreciate the first location's customer service and the notice of changing locations was not professional or conducive to my move. I will not be using another U-Haul moving service unless you all can sort out this mess of a system as it's always something with the vehicles and or staff that makes my time worse and tougher than it needs to be. I urge your corporate office to take a look at the system in place to notify or contact the customer of these changes. Moving is stressful enough why do this to your customers?Denar B.
I had a great experience over all. employees were courteous. the one complain i do have is that at drop off they wanted me to fill the tank full, when i picked it up there was still 1/4 of the tank empty so that's what i returned it as. recommendation take a picture of your mileage and gas at pick up!!Marjorie C.

Truck was dirty on the inside (no trash) and there was a loud metal vibration on the outside which sounded like something with the exhaust. Overall, the truck did what it was supposed to do and that's all I needed which is why I would still recommend this location and company.Victor M.

The staff did not know what to do. They side not have the packaging and dolly that I had reserved. The truck had a leak on the roof and got all my stuff wet ( unacceptable).Niloo K.
I had to wait 3 hours on hold with customer service to get the district manager on the phone to process the certificate I was given the day before due to another botched reservation. Messed up my whole moving day. Couldnt moce in to my apartment. Had to spend miney on a new storage unit.Abraham W.

My appointment was for 7 AM. The gas station opened at 8 AM. The attendant was late and he didn't have a key. He had to leave and come back which he said would take 20 min and it took him over half an hour. I was waiting for one hour and 40 minutes. In the meantime, my movers were at the house at 8 AM!! I got there at 9 AM. I'm very disappointed.Irene G.
They gave away our reserved truck even though we had it reserved for 12 hours. Then they gave us a larger van and charged us more for it. The entire process with Uhaul has been awful and this was just the cherry on top of an unacceptable experience.Kerri H.

Made reservation for truck and dolly and the location was changed. Once I arrived to location, I was informed the dolly was not available. I did check in online but the gas station attendant retook all my information slowing down the process. Also there was a dirty plate under the seat but all else clean.Noel T.
Hated the contactless process. Hated that it was a gas station and not a uhaul center. We reserved a truck at a uhaul storage rental facility close to home but then was given a pickup location that was not convenient at all. Would take a lot of convincing to ever use uhaul again.Christian G.

Please change the U-Haul address from 15805 Frederick Rd, Derwood, MD 20865 to 16210 Frederick Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. I am glad that I was directed by the owner of the gas station at 15805 Frederick Rd to go to the BP gas station at 16210 Frederick Rd. Please update your Website address for the new address. Also I went to that other location 7831 Beechcraft Ave. I could not park ANYWHERE to even go into the place. That place is mostly a storage facility.April M.

This was the WORST experience with a moving company I've ever had. I had booked everything in advance online DAYS before the actual move date and it still didn't the equipment I needed and worst of all they Weren't even open when they were supposed to. I ended up missing my move in window for my apartment complex and had to go through a whole ordeal just to get it adjusted. Also, I had planned to pick up the uHaul at 7am to beat the snow storm that was coming later that day. I ended up getting the uhaul around 10am and got caught in the snow. I also added 3 moving equipment and they only had 2/3 I ask for and still charged me for 3. I will NEVER EVER go through them again. I'd rather use Enterprise even if it's more expensive. If I could give -5 stars I absolutely would.Sunday A.

Actually inspect cars in-between use. The car was last driven by heavy smokers and was not aired out in any way. It made it difficult to drive as the smoke smell had just sat and stagnated for a long time. The office was so disorganized and for some reason started a new order when we arrived despite me having made a reservation days prior. They additionally charged us for roadside assistance which I had not ordered online and did not want.Alex F.

I answered that the truck was â€œcleanâ€, and it was, but it could have been cleaner, especially considering the corona virus situation. And the truck ran ok for the short distance I took it (about 30 miles round trip), but I wouldn't have rented it to move items 100 miles or more. One concern was visibility. Big, big recommendation for U-Haul is that a you replace your fleets, trucks like the 15-foot truck I rented should have proximity sensors for back-ups and for side blind spots.Kevin B.

The dashboard light was not on so I couldn't the speed at which I am moving. I tried to slow down as much as I could to avoid speed ticket. Those cars should be properly checked and maintained to avoid such instances. Apart from that everything in the van looks good.Ebenezer O.

it took me 3 hours to return 24/7 mobile option during business hours. I had to have charges removed for equipment I never had or requested. I only requested a large appliance roller and never got that but a dolly and rags were added. I had to wait an 1hour at the gas station for a uhaul representative to pick up . she was nice but I had to take pics 3 times and the uhaul clerk did too. no damage was done. it was just to record gas and mileage. I really am upset that I had to pay 100 for the worst experience ever and the last time it was a similar situation the clerk was overwhelmed had to wait over an hour to pick up. There were a couple mix-ups with getting the van. I got a call the day before to switch the location (which was fine, it worked out more convenient), but when I arrived they didn't have a van ready because the last return needed to be processed. The cashier was helpful but it took over an hour. I had requested a dolly, but they didn't have one for me or the guy before me. The van was fairly new and clean (just smelled like a horse), and everything went smoothly after that, but there is some kind of disconnect between the website/database and reality.Sarah T.

Make sure the online reservations are actually available. I had to drive there to find out that they did have a vehicle where on the site it said it was not available for the location. Because I had previously rented form this location the transaction went smooth.Brenda W.
