Unfortunately this was not a pleasant experience. I was only given 54 miles for my one way trip. Uhaul informed me the day prior the only available location to pick up my rental was in Colfax. This was 20 miles from my address. So it took 20 miles to even get the uhaul back to my place to load it. Now I only had 34 miles left. My trip from Nevada City to El Dorado Hills was 57 miles. Then I had to drive from El Dorado Hills to Sacramento to return it. Another 20 miles - which was okay since I had picked this location due to a cheaper rate. So I went 40 miles over. There was no way I was going to make it with the 54 miles given. Its weird because while we were there it went from 80 miles to 70 to 54. Ended up spending way more than I wanted.

Grass Valley did a great job of locating a truck for a one way rental in Colfax. Kudos to them for their efforts but another problem with Uhaul Corporate. Second one I experienced this year.

Craig WheatonI am very bothered that I had to provide the names and phone numbers of 2 people who know me well as a condition of me renting a trailer. The reason given was this is a policy as a result of the Oklahoma City Bombing which was 16 years ago. I have rented several trailers and trucks over the last 10 years and have never had to, or even been asked to provide this information before. I have never provided or been asked this for renting cars, trucks and trailers from any other company. This information is not even required on home loans! The only time I was ever required to provide this kind of information was for my security clearances during my 30 years career in the Air Force. None of my family who have rented from U-Haul have ever been asked this information. I would like an explanation of why this information is now required 16 years after the Oklahoma City Bombing and barring a satisfactory response, I will use other companies for me rental requirements in the future. Joe InocencioI didn’t have a drop off location i was told to just call the 1800 number but they would just hang up on me. Overall uhaul has been a hassle and i still haven’t gotten a refund for a hitch installation mess up and it’s been awhile. Making me go without money that is mine. Uhaul has sent me in circles and made my moving process very difficult i wouldn’t use uhaul again unless you guys give me a deal on the trailer i just had to make up all of my troubles. And again still haven’t gotten the money that is owed to me for a hitch i got right before my trailer. Dakota RhodesTruck wasn't ready to go. We had no access to the truck at the time we were promised. It was blocked in by 2 vehicles, it was filthy, low on oil, low on water, the transmission is leaking, ball joints are worn and ac didn't work properly. There was no proper customer support, we had to go 240 miles out of our way to pick this truck up. It was promised to us for pick up after hours and because it was not prepared properly for that time, we lost extra help with the move. Also, I was way over charged for items I never requested. I am extremelely uunsatisfied with my experience with Uhaul overall.

Jacob DavidsonThe price for the same trailer in michigan is 1/4 of the price. It doesnt make sense that the price would vary that much. The equipment itself needed maintenance, one of the taillights was unsecured. I spent an hour using the locations tools to fix it myself so i wouldnt get a ticket. This seems fairly improper to me. Overall i was very disappointed in this experience, though this was not the fault of the employees at the pick up location.

Ken McCoyThis location was extreme in their policy. The tank was required to be filled half way. I drove 385 miles and went to the station down the street from their location and refilled to half a tank. Maybe it was the the grade of their location or the grade of the gas station, but she claimed it was short 1/8 a tank and charged me $15. Unfortunately I dropped it off after hours and couldn't dispute the claim. This significantly diminishes my opinion of Uhaul for a loyal customer who just spend $280 on a rental.

Richard BonfondI like this return location. It's very convenient and close to free way. It's a safe neighborhood. I like it the most is that there is a drop box for the key return after office hours. Also before returned the truck, I called uhaul. The operator that I spoke with, is so helpful, her voice is music! Great! Great!!

Lisa GuertinWe rented this trailer,and asked about one way and a return route. I must have misunderstood what was said. I was told $142.27 for round trip and a little over $202 one way. If I dropped off the trailer in casa grande earlier there would no refund and the rate would be $202. That was acceptable. I went to unwilling casa grande was trying to drop it off there. Nancy returned the trailer, but was told it would cost over $450.00 dollars. I said no way, I would just return the trailer to colfax ca. Customer service would not work with us in any way, could figure out how to help return the trailer back to our contract. Nancy worked several hours and the contract was opened again. When I return the trailer to colfax it was stilled closed. Pam again had to uhaul customer service to work this out. Your customer service department needs a lot of help, because they don't try to help your customers. I have using uhaul since 1964. This will be our last time!!!

Was inefficient,, rude, slow and inconsiderate, and wrongfully charged me for fuel as I submitted my paperwork to The Rummage Rack, and according to the Service Assistant in Richmond was the correct amount of actual fuel upon insoection, " Leas than 3/4 of a tank ".
