The Uhaul app wasn't functioning properly (couldn't get my location despite app having the right gps permissions) so I had to go in and return truck the old fashion way. The lady behind the counter was kind, but when I received a receipt it indicated I did not return the truck with enough gas in it, and charged over $5/gal for 2 gal of gas. 1st of all, I calculated how much gas based on avg mileage (10.1 mi/gal) and total miles driven...it was the correct amount of fuel replaced. 2nd, how petty to charge a customer after the crap uhaul put me through when I picked up the truck. They screwed my order up 3 times during the process, which took over an hour at pickup location and if not corrected would have cost me a lot more money! I had to contact customer service before returning truck to correct additional and unnoticed mistakes,from pickuo, so after all of that getting charged for 2 gal of gas just felt like getting kicked while already knocked out. Maybe this rant should not be placed specifically on the drop off location, but I am pissed at Uhaul, and will look elsewhere first before considering using them again!

Pickup was a little slow as they appeared to be having computer problems.
Jeffrey DThis pick up location was great. The only thing I would say to improve is to offer a wifi connection since the cell service here was really hard to use to do the app truck pick up. There was a nice lady there that did not have to help me since they were not open at 7am, and she came out and made sure I was able to complete my pick up before she left. Also, on a side note I added a dolly to my reservation, but no dolly was provided.
Cloressa OI was charged an additional 2 days even though the truck was returned tonight. Meaning I was charged for today and tomorrow. The truck was returned at 6:45 pm. You are making money on the truck twice. No one can rent the truck after hours, and because it is a holiday your office was closed but you can rent the truck out tomorrow. Yet you have me paying for a day that I have not used. I understand that I must pay for today because I used the truck today, but paying for tomorrow NO. I paid for and tried to rent a dolly, I was told that you all have some but if there isn't one in the truck I am renting then I can not be given one. I would not recommend this Uhaul to my friends or family because of the theft of money that you have taken from me.
James HDo NOT rent from these people!!! Wouldn't allow return inspection with customer! Final bill received 15 minutes via email with erroneous charges; A) 122 additional miles; B) incorrect returned fuel level and C) charge for blankets not used! Called the shop was told to ph 1800 Uhaul to resolve. Instead returned to the shop immediately to dispute the charges and inspect the vehicle. Staff wouldn't permit joint inspection. After 20 minutes of back and owner arrived did additional inspection without customer's participation. Finally agreed to corrected the mileage but refused to remove fuel and blanket charge. Crooks!

Peter SI was charged a fuel fee and a fuel service charge totaling $60.00. I complained because I knew that I had turned in the vehicle with the proper amount of fuel. An employee came out to the vehicle to check it in and didn't say a word about the fuel. I was surprised when I received the emailed receipt. I was told that the picture from the fuel gauge was sent to U Haul and it was out of their hands. I called U Haul and when the representative looked at the picture of the fuel gauge, she stated that she had never seen a more on the dot fuel level than the picture that what was submitted. Clearly the local team did not know how to read a fuel gauge and they were unable to tell the difference between 1/8 and 1/4 of a tank.

Merredith KThis location offered no help hooking up the trailer to my vehicle. They didn't even verify it was coupled securely or had the chains set up properly. All they did is take a picture of the hitch once I was done. Fortunately, I have lots of experience hitching and towing trailers so I had no issues. But, someone that doesn't could easily create an unsafe situation for themselves and others if they got on the road without the trailer connected properly.

U-Haul charged me an additional day for Safe Move as we as an additional day's rental charge! I feel ripped off for what amounted to 45 minutes extra use of the rental.
William BThe woman inside was very helpful and made returning the trailer easy! There was no one outside to help disconnect and remove the trailer. No one came outside to check the trailer's condition or open it up to see the furniture dolly I rented was still there. We were there during business hours, so I'm not sure why no one was there to assist. Never experienced that during normal business hours.

Samuel PI'm not exactly sure what the problem is but I have been charged $157.26 on Friday & then another charge for $180.54 on Sunday...for a 1 day-12 hour rental that i returned with a full tank??? This has been a trainwreck from making my reservation to being charged for a 5 day rental. I have bills to pay & to hit me with an unexpected $180 charge is ridiculous. Actually u-haul owes me $11 as per Brittney from customer service told.me today. This will be the last time I deal with u-haul & will be more than willing to share my experience with anyone who will listen. I have literally spoke to 2 different u-haul customer service reps.

Thomas DI called to reserve a truck for a one way,24 hour, rental. When I got my confirmation the only thing that was correct was my destination. I called to try & get it fixed but it still wasn’t correct. It took a 60 mile round trip to the rental company to get it fixed. I requested a drop off within 2 miles of my destination. I was given a drop off point 20 miles from my destination & was told I had to use it. It wasn’t even open! This added $26 to my bill due to mileage and another 2 gallons of gas @ $3.75 per gallon. I viewed this as gouging!! The business where it was dropped off at 2:00 PM wasn’t even open. The drop off had to be done on line, by phone where there was poor cell service. There was no check in paperwork available. It took about 20-25 minutes.

John SWe picked up the truck at 9:36am (a little later than we planned) and returned it the same day at 5:48pm (before they closed) and was charged 2 days because I did the reservation online and didn't realize we would be a charged for 2 full days even if we returned it the same day because my online drop off time was 5:00pm. Lesson learned always put your online reservation in for the full 24 hour period even if you don't think you will need it that long.

There was a mistake with the billing that I attempted to fix immediately upon rental yesterday and was given zero help by the uhual 1800 number and or staff at either location. Cab: driver arm rest broken; passenger door doesn’t open from outside, only from inside; Dirty interior with cigarette ashes and smoke smell, soda spillage; storage compartment dirty with leaves, dirt and trash. If I have to pay the full price I should at least get a clean vehicle. I have pictures and f needed.
imran mI originally scheduled to receive a 10-foot truck for $100 for the day I needed it. A day before pick-up U-Haul notified the Leonardtown facility did not have 10 footers and that I would have to go several miles out of my way to pick up a 10-foot truck. U-Haul agreed to lend me a 15-foot truck from the Leonardtown facility at the same $100 rate. When I arrived, the Leonardtown facility said the truck was $106.
Anthony CGET RID OF THIS LOCATION ! Facility at pick up was closed, even though they were to be open at 8:00 AM. Called them, they offered no assistance & they were no help. They were closed for a week & never informed H-Haul or us. Finally went online w/ U-Haul to get key box after 1 hour. I would NEVER use this site again !

Rita PFirst, it took 1 hour to get the truck upon arrival at the location. The lobby was so hot I admit passed out and had to step outside. Second, the dolly was supposed to be in the truck, but wasn’t. This was very frustrating and showed the move in. I was a late afternoon pick up and by the time I realized this they were closed. Third, when I dropped off the vehicle, there was no walk around or understanding of how much I’d be charged. I returned the vehicle 1 day early…. With have been better to know what I wind be charged. Very frustrating.

Jay LI received a call a half an hour prior to my pickup time telling me that no trucks were available in my location. I was told I had to drive an additional 13 miles to the new location which was actually 26 miles, one way. This cost me an additional 2 hours out of my day trying to get things moved. I had to pay my movers for an additional 2 hours out of my pocket for your inconvenience. Not to mention how much more money it cost me in fuel. Basically I had no choice I was scheduled to move so I had to accept what you were giving me. I will never use U-Haul ever again. I will never recommend your company. And I will tell everybody about the terrible service I received from U-Haul. I think it's kind of like bait and switch. Because that's what you did to me. You baited me into one location and you switched me to another. All costing me more money and time. Terrible customer service. I was hung up on. U-Haul sucks!
Arlene SQuestionable customer service. Photos of equipment were out of date and needed updating. There are two large gashes in the front of the trailer that could have hurt someone or damaged my belongings.

MICHAEL MFind local stores with equipment. This was 70 miles away. I kept being hung up on and each time I started over, the new uhaul person came up with wildly different locations. No way to get back to original customer service rep. Wasted half a day trying to rent equipment.

Michael EIt took us 45 minutes to check in. This cut into our moving time considerably because we had people watching our kids. The last time we used uhaul (at this same location) online check-in wouldn't work, so we also had to use the counter service. That also took some time, but not 45 mins. We also ordered blankets to protect our furniture and they didn't have any. So we had to move our things without them. That was more unfortunate than the wait time. Last, we were charged for a service we didn't select. Annoyed about having to deal with that when we're already busy enough right now. Luckily, Uhaul quickly refunded us for that service.
