Make the rental process more transparent. When a rental truck advertised at $29.95 ends up costing $225 for a day and a half in town, it feels like a something is not right there.BENJAMIN T.
the truck was at the designated location but none of the additaments I requested (blankets, furniture trolley, etc) There was no one on this site to ask for help. I spent 45 minutes on the phone waiting for my turn and then when someone picked my call I was asked to drive to a location to pick my stuff. I get there and they didn't have it, I was then asked to go to another location. This location did have all that I needed BUT I was asked to return that equipment at that location and the truck at the original location! All of that were miles I had to drive, a lot of wasted time I had to lose from my rental... not a good experience. Learning from this experience: ALWAYS select a pickup location that has an actual u-Haul officeSERGIO B.

I had a $50 reservation time guaranteed but of course they were 30 minutes late and did not have the furniture pads that I requested either but I was still charged for those.Ryan G.
It took over an hour to get our rental! The employee was late and didn't show up until a half-hour after the store was supposed to open. Then he couldn't find the keys to the truck and all he said it's not his fault, it was his co-workers fault for losing them. He finally called the manager and told him where the spare key was after 30 minutes of him looking for it. We got the truck and it had trash inside cab, moving blankets scattered all over the back, broken windshield and the piece of junk truck world not drive straight and had to fight the steering wheel to keep the truck on the road. Worst experience ever! Totally incompetent employee and company!Dais I.

The employee was late and took nearly 30 minutes to complete the process. The employee also did not appear to have any idea of what he was doing, he initially thought I was renting a storage locker. The truck was not emptied out from the last user and the employee did not go over the checklist of the vehicle, mileage, etc before giving me the keys.Kaitlyn S.

Everything was great! I had to extend the rental past 24 hours because I didn't know how long it would take to move as it was my first time ever doing so by myself (and otherwise, I moved last when I was like 13 and my parents did the work). Thank you for making this process fast and painless, especially with me calling roadside assistance several times after not figuring out a few things on the truck.Kendall D.
First of all the Uhaul service itself is terrible. First I had booked a truck at different location (9591 Chapel Hill Rd, Morrisville, NC 27560) and by the time Of my reservation, they told me that they do not have the truck there and wanted me to go to another location. So, before I took the truck, I explicitly told the Uhaul support and the rep that I did not want the Safemove to be charged and they said that they would put a message on my account and that it wouldn't be charged. Then I returned my truck before time and then, I was charged twice for the rental and also the safemove has been charged twice. I spoke with Uhaul support and raised a dispute - 2613561. The customer service rep wasn't helpful at all and asked me to chat with support instead. For a well known company like this, the service is terrible. I'd like to get my concerns addressed asap.RAKESH K.

I did not have a problem with UHaul, but the storage facility that I picked the truck up from was not responsive to phone calls and was not in the office during open hours. Thankfully UHaul customer service was very helpful and helped me resolve my issue.Vanessa P.

Always check gas first. I was charged for gas and I had to call and explain multiple times that the gas was low when I rented it. Waste of my time.Aashish S.

The location was well lit at night and easy to find. The only thing I would change is to make the U-Haul drop box stand out more. It took several minutes of searching around the premises to find it. It is orange but it is small and because of the placement I assumed it was something other than a drop box.Gina H.

The young lady at Space shop self storage was EXCELLENT!!! The lady at 1800GOUHAUL WAS AN AWFUL LIAR! VERY BAD FOR BUSINESS..Latisia W.
Kendra at Space Shop self storage saved the day by helping get to the vehicle, checking on me twice while I had the rental to make sure I had enough time and just overall making me feel supported. The U-haul App and self service feature on the website were a fail. It took 55 min from the time I arrived to driving away in the rental vehicle- I won't be using it again.Paul R.

The van was dirty when I got it with dirt from the previous user. I transported 6 or so boxes back to the storage facility, which should be able to be seen on the cameras, so the dirt is not from me, but I was still charged 25 dollars. I plan to discuss this with the person at the storage facility.William P.
Customers need to be notified there will be a unreasonable high service fee for fill the gas and after hours service before they rent the truck!Rong P.

In the on-line application I filled out express checkout - there was nothing express about it. Even though I entered private information (license number), I still had to do all manual checkin steps. I also didn't like having to give a picture of my license number (why is that). No you have my private information uploaded. Now that I have paid for the truck, can you remove my private information you have stored. That would be the copy of my license and license number information.Hugo S.

I booked a 9' Ford cargo van and it showed online that it was available. When I got there I got a Chevy van. Not sure if it was the same size but I know it's not as tall. I would have liked to know this ahead of time so I could check other locations...James W.
