Don't have salespersons guaranteeing that the rates can be different than what is provided on websites. Also the distribution needs to do a better job with the trucks because I got transferred to two different booking locations without my knowledge. Overall very poor and headache worth of experience. The only good part was a mover was provided

The vehicle was late and i didn’t get it Until 1 hour after my reservation. The interior was very dirty and smelled like marijuana smoke. It drove poorly and the brakes weren’t great.

Ashish GuptaThe person at this location was very helpful. However, overall the U-Haul experience was horrible and I would not use U-Haul again. I booked a 20' truck at a location near me for the purposes of moving. The day before I was informed that not only was the size of truck I booked unavailable, but it is not at the location I booked. When I called in to fix this, I was informed that there was no truck available on the day I booked. I was given an option of driving 2 hours away or changing my moving date, both of which were unacceptable. The person I spoke to informed me they would speak to a manager and call me back. Upon calling back I was told they found me a truck. However, I still had to drive almost an hour to get this truck and then drive it back, which of course I had to pay mileage for. The location I had originally booked was 5 minutes from my home, so this was not an insignificant amount of mileage I was accumulating. Moreover, I was moving cities and had booked a pickup in one city and drop off in another city. However, I was then informed this would no longer be possible and I had to return the truck to the original pickup location. Again, accumulating substantial extra mileage all at my own cost, not to mention the huge inconvenience of having to turn around and bring the truck back to the first city. As I had no other options at this point since I was moving the next day I took the truck. Yet later that day I got a call from the pickup location to inform me that the 7:30am pick up I had scheduled and confirmed with the U-Haul representative would not be possible as they do not open until 10am. I was then forced to drop what I was doing and go pick up the truck a day early. This also forced me to purchase a city parking pass to park the truck on the street overnight. Overall, this was a horrible rental experience and I will never rent with U-Haul, again. I have also warned others I know who are moving to not use U-Haul as the service is completely unreliable.

Parth HareshkumarWe got overcharged for the rental. Got a call from the agent asking if we returned the rental on Tuesday. We returned the vehicle on Sunday. UHaul doesn't seem to keep track. Sent an email but haven't heard back. Planning on taking this further and posting about my negative experience on Google and contacting the media.

MINH-MAN TRANI left the gas level at the same level that I received it, but I was charged $16+ for gas fee. Never happened to me before. Shame, because I never thought that this would happen with uhaul.

Easy return, no hassle. I was not impressed with the experience but the last location saved your organization in my view. Online booking is a time saver.
Cherie MilesThe location was fine actually. Vishal was polite. But when he offered me insurance, and I took it, and later I had an accident, I still got charged for damages that I regretfully made. And nobody called me to tell me to at least inform me. I just got an impersonal email saying these are the charges and I have nobody to talk to about them. I am hesitant to go back to uhaul because of this. I bought insurance that was offered and I still got charged. I would like to speak with a person about this.

ANSHUL AGGARWALRating my experience based on this location is unfair. The person who setup the rental didn't close it out until uhaul called me asking if I ever dropped the van off (24hrs after I had). Uhaul followed up with him in order to get it closed out. This was the least problematic part of the entire rental experience, which was absolutely awful. The original location I made a reservation with called me 2 hours prior to ensure I was coming, otherwise they were going to rent the van out. I told them I was coming. I arrived 10 minutes early to see a couple driving off with the last van and the employee claimed I had called back to cancel my reservation. Both of these locations had the same boss, a guy named "Bill" Both employees claimed that Bill had 100s of trucks/vans he managed in Toronto. On the whole I wouldn't recommend uhaul period, never mind an individual location. You really do get what you pay for.
Jaanus AnjaThere was only one clerk and he didn't really know what he was doing. He couldn't figure out the website at first and had to call someone (maybe his boss) and then called a U-Haul number for help. The truck was parked where there was some snow and it took us a lot of back and forth to get it out of the spot. Plus it was partly covered in snow - especially the windshield - and we had to let it run for about 10 minutes to wait for things to melt off.
Dawn TolesIt took us two hours to get the rental when we finally get the keys and open up the van it was dirty inside, the mirror is broken and stickers all over the outside the van from accident. we decided not to take it however it was the last one so they send us to another location, When we got to the other location about 10people was in front of us at this time its after 11and we booked it for eight. we had no choice but to go back and take the dirty van with the broken mirror and stickers allover outside. If this was the first time I as renting with U-Haul I would never go back but because I had a much better experience at a different location I might use you service again,
