Make it very clear from the beginning that if people are using phone check in, they should download the app and that it likely won't work from a browser window. Tell the individuals working at the location, make it clear on the website. The call representative I finally spoke to said he gets many calls a day about the problem. It would've saved me 45 minutes of hanging out alone in a dark parking lot trying to figure it out and being on hold.Rachel T.

Our return date was changed without informing us, causing us to be charged for extra days and a lot of confusion. All of our items In the front and back of our trailer got soaked from rain. We had a terrible experience with uhaulGabrielle T.

be more clear about the process of one way trips and the lack of availability of equipment and trucks. The ONLY thing that was easy and pleasant about using Uhaul, was the man in charge at the Hadley location. I called Uhaul and spoke with 3 different people and only one was tolerable and he even just randomly transfered me to someone else. WORST experience EVER. ðŸ˜¡Abraham M.

The person at the desk was very helpful. UHaul's website, and the rental over the phone process, are useless. I was asked to look in too check in the van, but when I logged in, it said I had no active reservations. Perhaps your system has multiple express of me, and only let me log in to an old one. These really need to be redone with a lot more care, because right now, they're flaky and haphazard.Ian M.

I have one suggestion for mobile pickup. After arriving at the site, I had to provide three contact persons for uhaul to call and speak to before I could pick up my vehicle. I was using mobile pickup because I was picking up the car very early on a Saturday morning; one of the contacts I provided was still asleep. I just wish I knew about this ahead of time, so I could have reached out to three people the day before before rather than doing this last minute. My guess is that most people are using mobile pickup because they need the vehicle really early in the morning or late at night when people are most likely sleeping, so I think this is a suggestion that could help universally. The process to check out a U-Haul once we got to the location and had already reserved the truck in advance still took over 40 minutes. The customer service rep was rude and unhelpful. It is excessive to require three phone numbers in addition to the driver contact. This makes it very difficult for people who are moving by themselves. Furthermore, the many steps of back and forth through the website and app to be approved to check out a truck AFTER ALREADY RESERVING ONE AND REGISTERING AHEAD OF TIME is completely excessive, not user friendly, and once again took OVER FORTY MINUTES TO GET THROUGH. This was absolutely the worst moving experience that I have had. Thank god I was not on a deadline because I would have been very late. In addition, even though the process took 40 minutes and therefore we could not actually access a truck until 40 minutes after our reservation time, we were still required to return the truck at the original time, meaning that we did not actually get the full 24 hours of use that we paid for. This is ridiculous and I will not be using U-Haul again.Julia S.
