Some time ago I reported mold on my furniture as well as mouse droppings. No effort was made to address the rodent issue or the damage to my furniture which resulted in having to bring my furniture and many belonging to the dump after trusting my possessions in your care. Upon leaving I had to transfer my belongings into plastic storage containers so I would not transfer the mold into my new car. I am very saddened with the result of reporting my damaged possessions. The first location I went to was a used car lot gas station repair shop in Tolland that does not allow parking on the premises and makes you walk from the commuter lot down the street to get the U-Haul. it had no gas cap and when they pulled it out of the back, it Splashed what must have been over a gallon of gas on the ground. The woman told me don't worry about it will let you haul know you didn't break it I said yeah but now I'm going to have to pay for all the extra gas that pours out every time I hit the brakes I asked her to see if there were any other U-Haul rental places in the area it turns out that the website directed me to the Tolland location instead of the one that was just a couple of miles down the street from the address I put in I rented the only large truck they had available at the 20 West Stafford Road address and the service was amazing he even called after I returned it and make sure I was completely satisfied long story short I will never do business with the folks at the Tolland location ever again but the one in Stafford I can see myself going back to very soonBrett A.

I had a contract to pick up in East Hartford, 10 minutes from my house. That contract/reservation was made about three weeks prior to my rental date. The day before, you unilaterally switched me to Stafford Springs, 45 minutes, each way, from my house. This added an hour to what was already a near six hour drive. And broke my reservation. This is not good service. It doesn't happen for hotels, restaurants, airfare, rental cars, or anything else I can think of. This is not an acceptable practice for a legitimate business.Dean R.

Rene Drouin went above and beyond. There were issues with my truck order on U-Hauls end (nothing to do with this location). Rene was patient and willingly made multiple phone calls on my behalf to solve the order issues. He is the reason I left with a truck and was able to complete my move. Highly recommend this location, they put the customer first!Laura C.
Don't change reservation pickup locations especially without telling customer in advance. of originally scheduled pick up time. Do not change the pick up time from that which was reserved. My issue with the Tolland location in particular is that I reserved a truck for pickup a 8 am at the Tolland facility. I arrived at the facility at 8 am and they said they I had no reservation at their facility and that I would have to go to the Stafford springs facility which was 11 miles further from my storage location and added miles and charges. It didn't even open until 9 am. When the staff arrived they said my reservation was changed to their facility and the pickup time was revised to noon. ( I was never notified as apparently the Tolland rep did not enter my email address correctly.) Needless to say I was rather aggravated that I had to pay my movers additional hours due to the delay. Also because the facility was closed where as the Tolland one was scheduled to be open instead of being able to drop the truck off with a rep. I had to leave the keys at the closed facility. Now I get a bill with additional charges - never again.mike L.

There aren't many choices. These guys didn't have a normal hand truck, so I got stuck with a appliance dolly, which I did not use. The inside of the tractor/cab was filthy and the windows were filthy. I spent 45 minutes cleaning it all up.David P.

The Attendant was extremely helpful, he did his best to make up for the mistake that was made on my reservation Originally reserved for pick up on Sunday the 28th, and drop off on the 29th./ I planned few weeks in advance . I got a call on Friday , that I need it to pick up a day earlier and different location, had to re-arrange work and people to help w the moving , spend extra $ on my storage facility, it was a really bad experience , your scheduling department messed up , and I ended up paying for it The Lady who arrange all this changes just offered that I will get the extra day to dropp off with out extra charge , because of their mistake ./ which information was never transfer to the attendant in Stamford who said I was late to return the truckMorena L.
